The point it, while in California it's impossible to try to deposit funds into a bank that's over 2,000 miles away so one of the bankers sent me a ton of bank by mail envelopes so I'd never have to drag myself to a currency exchange and get some of my precious money taken away from me as convenience fees. What's more exciting is when I walked into a branch location today, the customer service agent took an old ATM card of mine, readjusted my PIN number, told me about a new checking account I'm eligible for now and sent me more bank by mail envelopes. Well Chase Bank, WaMu may be holding onto their ankles, but I'm certainly happy with you!

We mainly drop into a Chase branch for ATM services, but around this time of year, we also always take the opportunity to ask for complimentary, colorful, and handy Chinese New Year lucky money red envelopes. It's a nice perk offered by Chase Bank and I really don't know if other banks offer such a perk. The funny thing is that this is the only branch we have ever asked that only had lucky money envelopes from the previous year lol. It's not a biggie, and they are still handy, but the current up-to-date envelopes have a horse logo signifying it's the Year of the Horse.

But that's OK because Chase doesn't care if they lose a customer either so I guess it's a valued employee. Tried to send money to a subcontractor, an equal amount of what was put in days after the check cleared and even after all the hoops and then finally refusing to give them my pin number you know to the fraud department, let me repeat that refusing to give my pin number over the phone to the fraud department, who apparently by company policy is allowed to ask for it. Not my federal tax ID number which I am the only one that's probably gonna know that, not the last four digits of my social which of course is widely publicized, not the last name of my mother's maiden name, no, Fraud department wanted my pin number to the debit card I just gave the full number of. So I opted to go into the bank and speak to a manager, only to be met with the same problem with the same person type over the phone, this time, however since I had my drivers license apparently that's good enough because it looked like it was me. That's a good thing because it was me.
