We have several accounts with Chase and visit about four locations in the area on a regular basis…read morebut have been to several more. This one is pretty good in my opinion for the average consumer. The parking lot has plenty of spaces. They have drive up banking and ATMs. Plus you can get smaller bills from the walk up machines inside if you need it. This location has more ATMs than some others I've visited. This one is pretty clean usually and the kids like the lollipops, lol. I don't drink coffee but they have it for those that do like it. The employees at the counter are pretty friendly and happy to help. I don't like that sometimes I go in and the personal bankers don't seem to want to help unless you're asking to apply for a loan or something else big. If you're going in with an issue they seem irritated before they even hear the problem. Like you're wasting their time. If there are a few working then they also seem to pretend like they are busy waiting for someone else to get up. For this reason I don't go to this location unless I'm already in the area for something else unless I just need a simple transaction. Lately though, it seems like they keep less employees on staff every day and there may only be one or two bankers there. Maybe it's just timing, but it seems like they have less people working. Other than that one complaint I'd say this is a good location. It's convenient, clean, and service is good if you're headed to a teller.

We wrote a 3k check for rent and a 6k check for a deposit on a commercial building. The property owner deposited those checks and they cleared our account on Monday. I do my accounting everyday, so each evening I check my accounts and update quickbooks. Tuesday evening, the account was still fine. Wednesday morning, I get a call from a very angry property owner that the checks bounced! I pull up my account and it says suspicious activity. Called the 800 number and she stated they sent an email... complete lie. No phone call, no email. So this bank suspects fraud and just doesn't contact you. So, then I call my branch. I called Howie, because he just called me on Monday and left a voicemail to call him back, in a panic, I did because I thought something was wrong, was only calling to say hello and to tell me about that the lobby was now open. So they will call for stupid sh*t, but not when they suspect fraud. Anyway, Howie was completely useless. Had no remedy for the situation. So, I had to leave work, go to pnc and get a cashier's check and then drive it to Cincinnati... 2 hours away... on a work day! All this could have been taken care of by a simple phone call to verify the checks. Instead of bouncing the checks, who knows what it did to the property owners account (possibly cause an overdraft) and then make it look like we didn't have the money on a brand new property (great way to start a business relationship), plus cost me an hour and a half on the phone between 2 phone calls and then 2 hours down and 2 hours back on a work day! They offered no solutions... the best that they could do was waive the fees on a cashier check.

To begin with, I signed up online, was emailed the forms, but my computer was acting up so I couldn't fill it out online. I printed the forms out and brought it to the Westerville branch. I was told I was good to go, and should receive my debit card and information in about 14 days. 14 days later, nada. So I called the branch, the person who I talked to said the account was closed because I did not return the forms. I asked how that was possible since I turned them in at the branch, and the person said they didn't have them on record. Was very standoffish and uncaring. I was pretty annoyed so I went to the branch. The same woman who accepted my forms was there, and I told her about my account being closed. She apologized and looked to see what was going on. The person handling my account did not receive the forms via email, and didn't check that I had turned them in in another format, so closed the account. The woman at the branch was so sweet and nice, that I decided to go forward with an account. She called and set everything up. Fast forward a few months and I received cash for my birthday. Bright and early I go to the atm to deposit the cash. Never had a problem before. Inserted the money, it was counted, and the screen glitches out. The atm locks up, the screen goes black for a few seconds, then comes back on. It spits out part of the money I deposited except for $100. I mess with the atm, but nothing comes out. The branch isn't open, so I have to wait. They open and I immediately tell one of the tellers what happened. They say they will do an atm audit and will call me. Take my info and I go home. Several hours later I get a call that the cash was not found. I go back to the branch to find out what I'd going on. The branch manager shows me the video and basically calls me a liar. I didn't fan out the money prior to inserting it, so the exact amount cannot be determined. I understand being skeptical, I had opened the account a few months. But the amount of contempt emanating from the manager was palpable. He said they would do another audit, and would call me. Around 5 I receive a call from him, that the cash was nowhere in the atm, it was taken completely apart. I ask how the machine could eat $100, and he says "I don't know what you want me to say". I ask for the number to his supervisor and hang up. I call the supervisor, and leave a message. To this day I have never heard back Fast forward to Monday and I receive a call from the woman teller, saying they found the $100 in with the checks. She apologized profusely and told me that it was credited to my account. Now the problem with this? She called, NOT the branch manager. So I call the number she gives and tries to explain further. I told her as politely as I could that I want the branch manager to tell me what happened. He gets on the line, never apologizes. But tells me they found it in with the checks. That's it. If the branch manager had handled this situation in a professional manner, I would not be writing this review. In closing, I highly recommend staying far away from the CME Credit union.
