I went into Beverly bank on September 22, 2026 at around 9:15 AM. An African American female took my credit card and I.D. and went and made a phone call behind the desk. She asked an African American man, who seemed to be some sort of a supervisor, about giving me the money. The man said I could only withdraw a certain amount, while my credit card company said that I could withdraw double the amount that he said (LIE #1). After standing there for several minutes, the guy said they were waiting on an answer (LIE#2). I didn't know what that meant but I waited. He then came back and said some machine wasn't working (LIE#3). I was confused at this point. He then asked me to take out a loan with them. I said no thank you. He then said it would take about 5 minutes to figure out how to fix the machine (LIE #4). So I waited another 5 minutes. At this point, I'm thinking that he is making up every excuse that he can to not give my money. He went into his office and acted like he was doing something to help me (LIE#5). He then came back, grabbed my ID and credit card off the counter and gave it back to me. He then said he couldn't help me. He saw that I was frustrated and his mannerisms said "ok, I cannot tell anymore lies. I must give her items back and tell the truth". This man knew he didn't want to give up any money in the beginning but he wasted my time and kept telling lies. He could have just said he couldn't help me in the beginning. What a weirdo. I can't stand for somebody to play with me and waste my time. It was very unprofessional. Now I have found out that they have taken $1000 from my account.

Upon arriving at the location yesterday,Wed. Nov 05,2014,and was told by the three ladies there that I would have to take said check to the traditional branch located at 2917 W.95th St, Evergreen Pk,Il 60805.The clerks did not say why they couldn't cash my check, but had a puzzled look on all of their faces as if they did to have a clue of how to handle the matter, and just wanted the issue to go away.In other words, they seemed to just get rid of me. Talk about passing the buck. I left and went to the other location the next. More on that lousy experience in my next review.

I went in with my elderly grandmother to take care of beneficiary services due to my grandfather passing. I flew from Dallas, TX to Chicago Il for 1 day specifically to help my grandmother take care of her banking business. When my grandmother and I came into the branch, Ms. Griffin was very rude to us. She asked what we came in for and when I explained the transaction needed, she stated she couldn't help us. I explained that I was there to help my grandmother and that I am Power of Attorney for her and that I only was in Chicago for a day so I could help her. She then proceeded to tell me that I needed to go to another location. When I asked how come she couldn't assist me, she then started to ignore me. After asking her again why she couldn't help me and she continued to ignore me, I then asked for her name so I could file a complaint. She refused to give me her name. I had to go to one of the tellers and ask them what her name was and what her position was. I have never been so disrespected by a branch manager ever! Simone Griffin was very rude and disrespectful. A few of the other customers in the branch stated that she is always rude and mean to customers. I am absolutely appalled by the service I received from Ms. Griffin. I was so upset, I left that location and went to another Citibank branch. In no way should a branch manager ever carry themselves the way Ms. Griffin did.

Mind you, my account is a virtual wallet account and it doesn't come with checks. It's supposed to be environmentally friendly so I wouldn't get checks. I get charged if I use the banker to deposit money, too. That's why I was surprised that they were going to charge me for a check when I couldn't even get free checks since the start of my account. This is also the first time that I walked in and the personal bankers were all full and the front desk told me that each banker would be at least an hour wait. It's like they didn't even want me to be there or want my business. The parking lot was soo full, too. Everyone was driving in and I was backing out of my spot which was near the parking lot entrance, all the cars kept driving and wouldn't stop. I swear, someone could have hit me. This is the worst PNC Bank I've been to, but definitely no where near the best.
