Went grocery shopping and my card kept being declined when there was plenty of money and funds in my account. And like I said, I never reached a daily limit of $500. Not at all. The bank closed at 4 pm on a Friday. There is no live chat or customer service through the app either. Also there are no options to receive any notifications of fraud. Not text, not a phone call, not an email. The next thing you know you are unable to access your funds and use your money for an entire weekend. Also anytime you voice a concern or problem with the bank they blame you that it's your fault. During income tax time this bank made a huge mistake and did the wrong amount of money. I went in person to get it resolved and again they blamed me it was my fault. Not only that but I had to wait half a year to get my money back. The app is horrible, horrible customer service, they always blame the customer, no assistance, no help, no fraud alert, no verifications of any kind, can't find or locate routing number through the app, and they always make big mistakes. Worst bank ever. Extremely unprofessional. Take your money and run.

Literally the worst banking establishment I've ever dealt with what kind of bank refuses to give you your own money? That's BMO Harris. It's a little scary that they are allowed to prevent you from using your own money to pay bills and if you go into a branch, there is one banker pretend to 20 banks in your area. Terrible. I opened an account there at their invitation to receive a bonus. Then, just before the…read morebonus was due, the Algonquin Branch Manager sends me a letter telling me that they had closed the account due to "suspected irregular activity" and that they'd issue a check for the balance within 15 days once "all previously deposited items have been verified." There had been no activity. I just deposited the requisite sum and left it there for months. Ok. Weasly, but I guess that's within your rights to do so. Well, that was Feb. 7. The "items" had been deposited months before, so they've had plenty of time to do their verification. So, a month later, no check. I call "Brad" at the Algonquin branch. He says they waited till 3/3 to cut the check, but promised that I'd get it within 15 business days. Hmmm. Now it's been another 15 business days later. No check. I call Brad back. His confidence and knowledge of the process and the status of the check have dissipated. He now claims ignorance of the check status and incompetence to do anything about it. He transfers me to "Customer Service." After multiple demands to enter my now-nonexistent account number, DOB, and ssn, it finally allows me to talk to "Macie." I'd be lying to fein shock that she's similarly impotent to effect any resolution. She sends an "EMAIL" to a "group" who is supposed to call me to figure out a way to get my check to me. She can't tell me if it will take an hour, a day or a week for me to get that call. Very annoyed and not hopeful for a quick resolution. Considering small claims court. It's a sad day when going through the legal system seems like a viable way to quicken the process of a bank delivering a check. Revision 1 - Another two weeks, another broken promise. I sent the email requested below and someone did call me and got the ball rolling. Then, a couple days later, Brent, the branch manager called me and asked me to prove to them what the source of the money was (huh?) and to present a current ID. I did both the next day - Wed., March 30. Brent was off, but he had arranged for Brad to accept them. Both Brent and Brad promised that Brent would review them and call me yesterday, Monday, April 4, when he got back. I didn't get any call from Brent nor Brad. Sheesh. Finally, two months after closing the account, I got the check for my balance. No bonus, no interest, but at least I got the money I deposited back.

They were happy to schedule a time during weekday banker hours when Will was in school. Went across the street to the much smaller regional bank and guess what, they had a banker available.
