A coworker of mine first introduced me to the talents of Fife when our teammate lost their furry pal and Fife painted the memorial portrait. I was floored. Fast forward a year and my best friend's blind basset lost his battle with cancer. I knew exactly what I wanted to do for her. I commissioned Jess to paint a piece based on a scene from a novel. I'd seen her work in peoples' homes, at various art shows, and on other custom pieces (her moto helmets are especially impressive!), and I knew she would be more than able to recreate the surreal imagery as it was written. It still blew me away when she showed up with the canvas, these photos are my best attempts to share it but they don't do it justice at all. It's a large piece, 40"x30" and there is so much detail! My particular request was for a "nebula-type sky" and she absolutely nailed it. We had texts going back and forth pretty regularly in the initial planning stage (since a visual reference didn't really exist) and she would check in with sketches and examples to make sure her vision continued to line up with what I had in mind for the finished piece. Friendly, Personable and Talented are the words I'd use to describe Fife Studio's. They made a custom cake topper for my wedding cake and it turned out great. I told them the theme of the wedding, Day of the Dead, and they found some different ideas online so I could show what I liked. Once we decided on something they made the whole topper to match the wedding colors. They also surprised us with a matching "Day of the Dead" dog to match our real life dog.
