I loved the addition of a red cardinal bird painting. Courtney greeted me,assisted me, and made me a fresh toffee coffee in the store. Jodi, the owner, greeted me as well. After wandering throughout the store, I bought a traveling chess and bar set - perfection. Courtney wrapped it tissue paper and put in a gift bag. Lovely!

Nothing but wonderful things to say about Boyd's Pumpkin Patch! This adorable little farm is well…read moreworth the 30 minute drive north of Nashville. We prefer to pick our pumpkins directly from the vine, and Boyd's is the only U-Pick patch we could find in Middle Tennessee! They have an enormous selection of pumpkins, ranging from $3 - $5 based on size. They also have several pre-picked pumpkins available, but we're all about the thrill of the hunt. I was worried that their patch would be picked over when we drove up two days before Halloween, but we managed to snag some extra large pumpkins for a fraction of the price you'd pay at the grocery store or even the farmer's market. I've also visited other U-Pick patches that have more smashed pumpkins than carvable ones, so I was happy to see Boyd's is doing what they can to take care of their crops. Heads-up that this is really just a pumpkin patch. There is also a corn maze, but there's no fall activities or games if that's what you're looking for. Thankfully, we're just in it for the pumpkins, so this was perfect. Their website says that they accept cash or check only - but I did note a Venmo QR code as well when we were checking out. I brought a special piece to Melissa, a KORN drumhead and drumstick gifted to my husband by a band member. I trusted Melissa to take care of this one of kind, irreplaceable piece, and she did! She presented decor options to me that I didn't even know existed (such as metal decals to display KORN albums alongside the memorabilia). She went out of her way to present quality materials to me. Melissa was also communicative about the progress on the piece, sending me periodic messages. Also, for the amount of work done, the price, around 390 with taxes, was extremely reasonable. Thank you, Melissa, for giving this a great gift that impressed my husband. Also, for those Fort Campbell soldiers, Melissa does a ton of military work! We did experience several obstacles that led to it taking around nine plus months to get my piece back (long enough to produce a baby!)--IDespite the length of time (I wasn't on a timeline anyway, and wanted it done right)--I would go back again. In fact, I have a couple of other special, difficult to display pieces that other frame shops have been unable to devise a display for. Maybe Melissa is the answer!

I saw the Open sign tonight after picking up my sweets from a nearby French bakery. So glad I stopped by. One of the owners, Brett, gave me a tour. Each room has a theme. So many vintage furniture pieces with intricate woodwork. Great condition for them, too, which is really impressive. I like that everything is neat and orderly. It does not look like someone's attic junk thrown in a booth like some antique shops I have been to around TN. They acquire "new" items weekly, so I am definitely coming back here. Plus, there are a few things I have in mind to give as gifts. Perfect gifts at reasonable prices. For now, I have my own want list on hold. Check out my photos of a few of them! So sweet of the owner's daughter to keep an eye on my little one while I looked around, but we had to go. Dinner time. They will be open more days after January, but Thursday to Sunday for now. She took time to explain all the products and even showed me examples of some furniture pieces she has done with the paint and wax I was looking at.
