Two years ago I encountered this gallery and saw the exhibit, Staying Curious, by Stephen Schlegel…read more It was depicted as an event that will make your eyes smile. I didn't stay long yet I was captivated. Stephen was there and we talked briefly about his art work. He gave me some M&M candies with an imprint of his logo. 2021 I revisited this gallery and was moved by the new art work and photographs. I saw Stephen again but he looked different in his photograph. He was in military attire. As always, his sculpture beside his photograph looked playful and made the eyes smile. I talked to Toni and Shane at the front desk. The art displayed in the gallery was impressive. I liked how you could buy small pieces for affordable prices. I bought three framed photographs. Talked to a couple of people. A few children came in and told me about their favorite art pieces. One of them liked the red cardinal bird painting. His brother liked the CDs crafted into butterflies and the light bulb used to make a spider. My favorite one art pieces were the photographs I bought of the angel, the Smokey Mountains, and lightening. They were framed and matted- 3 for $10. I, also, liked the silver dragonfly and skeleton key earrings. The last items I liked were the black and white photograph of the merry go round with a menacing head poking through the trees and background by Shane and the simple portrait and sketch of a woman's face in charcoal and pencil.

This place was fun, i went by myself on a friday where i got off of work early. I went to the story but the beer place that sells growlers (tiny town and trenton) and i was pleasantly surprised. I wish i could actually have made the pottery piece that i painted (false advertising, i think) but that's ok. On Wednesdays they have a military appreciation day where you don't pay $6. Anyways, i picked up a sea shell jewelry box, $15, and painted it for about an hour to an hour in a half with little to no distractions or bothering from the employees. I was kind of annoyed that i had to keep getting up and asking for more paint like a child but i understand. There are a lot of children that go there with their parents and if they were to give me the paint tube, they might think i'd abuse it. So i paid about $23 in total on that Friday, because i didn't go to the Wednesday special, but all and all it was a good time. I'd go there for a date :) it's cute and it gives you time to think and chat if you bring a friend.

We were probably in there for about 4-5 minutes before anyone came up to us which was fine. The woman asked us if we had been to their location before and we both said no. She then pretty rudely stated we needed to go wash our hands before we could do anything. The act of washing our hands was fine, it was just how it was said. She acted as if we were an inconvenience to her day. Also, if washing hands is major concern then maybe they should have someone greeting customers. There were maybe 5-6 other customers in the store already painting and they did not seem overly busy. We both washed our hands and went back to select our pieces. We both got a bad vibe so we decided to leave. Once we left my friend said she overheard the employees talking about us as she washing her hands. If you are looking for a place to paint pottery and don't mind the drive we both loved The Hot Spot in Springfield. They were super helpful and attentive and had lower prices than this store. Only downside is the drive.

Caleb arrived right on time and took care of business - communicating with us as he went through the extermination process! A one-time service cost us $299, which feels like a great value given the team's overall responsiveness, and speedy but intentional service. Highly Recommend EcoGuard Pest!…read more We have been using EcoGuard Pest for quite some time now, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about them. I've had three different technicians come to our home so far, and every single one has been great! We originally started using their services after my Seresto flea collars failed us and my dogs brought fleas into the house. Granted, we had blasting going on directly behind our house while a new neighborhood was being built, as well as blasting happening at the front of our neighborhood for a different development. This was likely contributing to a much higher-than-normal flea population in our yard, and the flea collars simply couldn't keep up. I called EcoGuard after being stood up by one pest company and rescheduled three times by another. EcoGuard was incredibly quick to come out and was extremely thorough. After just two treatments, they completely eradicated the fleas. We then had them begin treating our yard for fleas and ticks, as well as treating the exterior of our house with their pest maintenance service. This includes spraying to help keep bugs outside of my house, removing wasp nests, spiderwebs, etc. They come out on a quarterly basis. About a month ago, a mouse tried to take refuge in our house. I called EcoGuard immediately, and they came out the very next day. They didn't just set traps and leave--they actually helped me search for where the mouse could have gotten inside. We discovered that our puppy had more than likely pulled the cover off of our exterior dryer vent and chewed on the cover. I fixed that immediately, and thankfully, we haven't had any mice issues since. Then yesterday, I noticed some ants in my kitchen and gave them a call. Again, they came out the very next day. Robert treated the interior baseboards, underneath my sink, the tiny space between my granite and drywall, windows and doors, and placed a bait station on my countertop. He also treated the exterior windows, foundation, around the perimeter of our landscaping beds, the hot tub area, patio, certain areas of the siding and brick... literally anywhere he could treat, he treated! He was incredibly attentive and then took the time to help me look for ant trails so we could figure out where they were coming from. We found the source, and he treated that area as well as placing two bait stations underneath our grill deck where we believe they set up camp. The technician who has come out the last three times is Robert, and he has been absolutely wonderful. He is extremely kind, respectful, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely seems to care about solving the problem--not just checking a box and leaving. I highly recommend Robert, as well as EcoGuard Pest as a company. They have yet to frustrate me or make me feel like I'm wasting my money. Their prices are very fair, they are on time, every technician I've met has been respectful and thorough, and their customer service is exactly what customer service should be. Even though I've had to call them out for two problems, I do not believe that is because they aren't doing a good job during their quarterly visits. Sometimes, that's just Mother Nature and life! When something unexpected pops up, they are here actually ASAP to help me figure it out and fix the problem--with a smile and a good attitude. That means a lot to me! If you're considering starting pest control service with EcoGuard, they are 100% worth it. Give them a call--you won't regret it!

I wish I could learn simpler techniques like making handmade pots using the coil method and other techniques. I was told you could learn more during the Wheel Throwing Club Days. They have them 2 days a month for two hours. You get access of the clay utensils and pottery wheel on those days for $4. Five pounds of clay is $3.50. A fun crafts place for adults and children! I paid for my class on the day of my class but I called beforehand. I was told it was best to make reservations. Sometimes these classes fill up fast.

We prefer to pick our pumpkins directly from the vine, and Boyd's is the only U-Pick patch we could find in Middle Tennessee! They have an enormous selection of pumpkins, ranging from $3 - $5 based on size. They also have several pre-picked pumpkins available, but we're all about the thrill of the hunt. I was worried that their patch would be picked over when we drove up two days before Halloween, but we managed to snag some extra large pumpkins for a fraction of the price you'd pay at the grocery store or even the farmer's market. I've also visited other U-Pick patches that have more smashed pumpkins than carvable ones, so I was happy to see Boyd's is doing what they can to take care of their crops. Heads-up that this is really just a pumpkin patch. There is also a corn maze, but there's no fall activities or games if that's what you're looking for.
