I go to the Pleasanton Farmers Market and her tent is the first one I visit to pick up my flat of greens. Since using micro greens, they've become a staple in our goods ranging from smoothies to toast, to sandwiches and more. They pack a huge punch of nutrition and taste so good! Almost more flavorful than their full-sized versions. The best thing I love about them is how kid-friendly they are. Something about being able to harvest their own food and them being so tasty--that combo alone will make any kid fall in love with micro greens for years to come. My kids look forward to picking out their micro greens and snipping them off for their meals. Not to mention Stephanie is one of the nicest and genuine people I know from just the encounters I've had with her at the market. Thank you for inspiring our love of micro greens!

I bought some delicious honey made from bees in Watsonville, but I wanted to buy 10 other things that I didn't need, like bbq sauce with sh*t in its name for the heck of it, fun tie dye soaps, and chicken plushies! Oh, and of course we bought lots of eggs! My teen HAD to watch the vending machine show ($4) for 16 eggs that is outside the building. It takes crisp $1 bills, but note that these eggs are size MEDIUM, not Large, XL or Jumbo like you'd find in the stores. It wasn't a big deal to us, except when I boiled them for a topping for ramen, and they took way less time than our usual time, which I forgot about because this size was so much smaller! Just fyi. They sell larger sized eggs inside the store at the register.

Andy & Julia offer a traditional CSA process of drop offs and have established bi-weekly "Mystery Box" nights at different meeting points around the city of San Francisco. For the Mystery Box - you never know what you'll get - but you'll definitely get far above your $25 worth! You can also sign up for updates from the "Ladybug Buying Club" - notices about veggies and fruit that are available in bulk for pickup at Mystery Box locations. Recently, I have brought home a giant Musquee de Provence pumpkin for $6, a flat of organic fall strawberries for $24, 25# of Braeburn apples for $26 and over the summer - basil for $1 for a generous bunch (I got 12!). Mariquita also hosts "U-Pick" events for tomatoes in the fall - and at fifty cents a pound, you'll find it hard to resist going home with less than 50# of tomatoes... I personally brought home 150# of tomatoes and now have tomato sauce for the rest of the year. Mariquita always has the best produce - unlike other CSAs, it doesn't just go bad in the fridge from being picked too ripe and hanging out in a hot warehouse or truck for too many days. It may be a little pricey compared to your local Asian market, but for the quality and the focus on sustainability rather than the bottom line, it's worth it to me. The farm also sends out a newsletter alerting you to what's predicted to be in the box, recipe ideas, and happenings on the farm, which is great for planning what to do with the haul (because it is a haul!) and learning about where our food is coming from.

It was really beautiful and idyllic seeing the sheep across the green fields. We got to feed some pigs, see the sheep line up for milking, and saw the cheese caves. The cheese board at the end was really delicious. Our tour guide was really friendly and super knowledgable. We came away with a greater appreciation for husbandry and with tons of quality meat and cheese :) Highly recommend!!!

Her website says she goes to the Monterey market on Tuesdays and the Salinas market on Saturdays. I give her business five stars because the herbs and tea we've bought from her are outstanding. We've almost used up our lemon thyme, but are still working on the regular thyme, rosemary, lavender, rose hip and peppermint tea, and lemon and lavender tea. I also give her business five stars because she lets you choose how many ounces you want since you are buying from bulk. The only other store I know that sells herbs and tea in the Monterey area Gold Leaf Spice & Teas in Salinas for a comparative seller in Salinas. But Also, there is Whole Foods and the selection is not as wide. But Our Sweet Earth comes to you at the market!

Then she very rudely responded that the market has been closed for twenty minutes (although most stands were still selling) and that she was all done and gave me a dirty look. If she was closing up shop for the day, she could have addresses me politely, and furthermore started taking down the signs that says try our kimchee! But she did neither, and was just hanging out with her friend complaining about something and decided to take her anger out on me. Although they make quite tasty kraut, I will not support a business who hires salespeople to be so unprofessional rude to its customers.
