Not gonna lie my family and I have been known to frequent Fiesta chicken multiple times a week! The restaurant may look underwhelming, it's located in a little strip of various shops and a little Cesar, don't let this fool you though! After ordering we always receive our food pretty quickly. Our favorite is the cilantro lime chicken tacos, they're addictive with just the right amount of spice! We also love their grilled chicken, and roller chicken tacos. For sides, it's weird for a Mexican restaurant, but their Mac and cheese and broccoli salad are amazing! Don't leave without getting a caramel or cream filled churro. I've tried this place twice, both times getting a burrito of sorts. Both times it was pretty much all meat and not a lot of other stuff, which perhaps is the point of a place with "chicken" in its name. Still, it left a pretty bland taste in my mouth in terms of flavor. Perhaps there's another dish I need to try for a third time? My wife yearns for an El Pollo Loco so instead of driving to SLC, we went to Fiesta Chicken. She ordered the three piece with two sides. I have a veggie burrito no cheese no sour cream. The chicken she got didn't have enough marinade and flavor to her liking. My veggie burrito was immense. I was not expecting to see chopped Romaine lettuce but there is was. It was ok. Fiesta Chicken was my dinner choice tonight. I appreciate that they have a drive thru. I normally grab the chipotle chicken tacos from Fiesta Chicken but I wanted to two something different tonight. The gentleman at the intercom took my order. I snagged the 3 piece chicken with mac and cheese and potatoe salad add my sides. I also got a couple flour tortillas and mild salsa with my order. I'm not gonna lie, I opened my to go box and was quite stunned. One of my drumsticks was almost the size of a Hershey's fun size chocolate bar. It was so tiny. My second drumstick not was much better. Quite disappointing really. The seasoning on the chicken was good. The texture of the chicken wasn't tender but it wasn't dry. It was ok. The mac and cheese was decent. It was not hot or warm. The potatoe salad was good. The potatoes were cooked nicely and did have a good amount of dressing on it. I think I'll stick to the chipotle chicken tacos. This meal was disappointing. Paid 14 bucks for 3 tiny pieces of chicken. You really don't get your money's worth stuff this meal. read more

This is my fourth time at Fiesta Chicken. I swear, the food just gets better and better. The portions are huge and the price is cheap! I indulged myself with their popular Chicken Chipotle Tacos ($10.99) or as I call them, crack tacos because they're so freaking addicting I could eat them every day. Three beautifully fluffy flour tortillas piled with their wonderfully seasoned namesake chicken, fresh pico, lettuce and cheese, drizzled with their insanely good chipotle dressing that is to die for. God, these are straight from heaven. Every bite is an explosion of flavor. I want to try their other dishes, but each time I step into this establishment my mouth starts to water at the thought of these. You've gotta try them to know what I mean! My husband has his go-to as well, and it's equally as delish - the Three Piece Leg & Thigh which comes with two sides. This round he chose Mac & Cheese and Mexican Rice. Okay yeah, the chicken is extremely tasteful as always and the rice was cooked to perfection, but holy cannoli that Mac & Cheese was outta this dang world. The noods were so soft they melted in your mouth. I'm guessing they add cream cheese or something of the sort because it was comfort food to a whole other level! Not to mention, the scoop was insanely big. entire platter posted with this review was only $9.99. It's hard to find such great food for reasonable prices in Boise. This almost seems too good to be true. The woman who took our order is the same who has done so previous times, maybe the owner? She's really sweet and patient. She always thanks patrons as they walk out. I'm already fantasizing about my next visit to Fiesta Chicken. Will I branch out or succumb to my needless desire for those tacos? Came here this past week and really enjoyed it. Since they don't have El Pollo Loco here (In California this is a staple Mexican grilled chicken spot) this was for sure the next best thing. I had the 1/2 chicken with 2 sides (rice and beans) with flour tortillas. Simple dish that was well executed. The chicken had lots of great flavor grilled to perfection as well as juicy on the inside. They also have a fresh salsa bar to compliment your meal and all the freshly made salsas were delicious. They in addition have lots of other choices to choose from but remember their specialty is chicken so that's what a lot of the menu is catered to. So please don't leave any reviews about they didn't have X YZ because again it's specialty is chicken. Staff here was really nice and everything was met with a smile. Ordered whole grilled chicken, beans, rice, mac 'n cheese, chipotle chicken tacos, creamy cilantro beef tacos, tostada and flour tortillas. The chicken was flat and really dry, sides were so-so. Chipotle chicken tacos were flavorful (best choice of entire meal). Beef tacos were chipotle, not creamy cilantro and the tortillas were crusty and stiff. Didn't ask my SIL about her tostada-felt bad I chose this place. Really bummed, I wanted to like/love their food. At this point, no plans to try them again. $75 not well spent. read more

The chicken is the star here. Marinated and then charbroiled, it comes out crisp and tasty. It's as good as anything I've tasted. On my second visit, I tried one of their chipotle chicken tacos, which came highly recommended in a recent Idaho Statesman story. It was really good, but I like the chicken so much I may stick with it during future visits. Some other reviewers have complained the tortillas were on the dry side and unappetizingly crunchy, but that wasn't the case with the taco I had. That story also increased the popularity of the restaurant. On a recent Saturday, there were 23 customers 12 minutes after they opened. On a Saturday! Better get there early. The Robles family is planning to open a second location, at the old Wendy's on South Orchard Street in April. It will have about three times the size of the Ustick and Five Mile location. Service was friendly and the meals come out pretty quickly. Great restaurant for Boise. read more

Think El Polo Loco but authentic!!! Outside was Boise, inside was like being in Latin San Diego. Being one of the few gringo customers attest how authentic the food is. So. 1/2 chicken & 2 sides was two meals for me. The chicken was grilled over an open flame & seasoned (lime + ??) to perfection. The "street" tacos were very good as well. i got the classic burrito , as soon as i took a few bites the tortillas completely crumbled. i just gave the rest to my partner and as hes taking a few bites he spits out rocks ??? little tiny rocks and i wish i had taken a picture but i went up to the front counter to tell the cooks and he took them from me. he didnt offer me any kind of compensation so i just left. dont recommend:(( save your money ! read more

This is a very unique little joint. It has most of the traditional Mexican foods that you would expect to see in Idaho. But it also has fried chicken, homemade macaroni and cheese and the best broccoli salad. It's kind of a mix with Southern cuisine, I guess? Either way, it works! And it means that more people can enjoy the cuisine together. I've never actually been inside, because drive throughs. With little human beasts, drive throughs just get me. I have been extremely impressed with the service in the drive through! Fast, courteous and always with a smile. They also maintain their picture worthy presentation in the drive through. My burrito to go still had the same giant beauty of one served in house. We've had the chipotle chicken tacos, carne asada street tacos, green chicken burrito, beef burrito, all the sides, and the fried chicken. I have nothing negative to say about any of them. I love the chicken that they use inside the burrito. It must be pulled from the fried chicken, because it is on the drier side, which I love! It is packed with flavor. I will say, everything we have ordered has a kick of spice, so if your tongue is on the wimpier side of the Scoville scale, you might want to check with staff first. read more

Took a like minded coworker to lunch and we both enjoyed enormous salads with heaps of charbroiled, tender, juicy chicken for the same price as one salad yesterday. This review is solely based on their chicken items including a la carte and chicken burritos. This place is legit! Sometimes I crave just chicken without having to be in anything, i.e. a leg, thigh, breast. I've been looking for somewhere that offered chicken a la carte AND was tasty. Fiesta Chicken has come through! Their burritos are full of tasteful ingredients and are extremely delicious. Their prices are extremely reasonable for what you receive. The average burrito is $6.09 before tax. Looking for a good sized salad? This is the place! They heap on everything in their chicken tostada salad bowl. It's pretty awesome. I went here today for lunch and got a chipotle chicken taco and a green chicken burrito. First, the chicken here is delish and well seasoned. The taco was very good and was creamy and spicy. The burrito was awesome and it was huggggeeeeeee!! The burrito was stuffed with beans, rice, cheese, pico and chicken. It was then covered in green enchilada sauce and sour cream. Our #1 favorite place for lunch. The street tacos are overflowing with moist and deliciously seasoned chicken hot off the grill with fresh tortillas, salsa, radishes and lime. We live in Eagle and eat there at least once a month. We've been going for 3 or 4 years and have never had anything but a 5 star experience. The chicken and accompanying sauces were slightly different than the traditional Peruvian chicken places I've been to (the sauces are a bit different.) However, everything tasted really good! The chicken is cooked to perfection--crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It is accompanied by a whitish green sauce that is somewhat like a cilantro ranch dressing. There is also red and green salsa, pickled jalapeños, and some other fixings available. Don't miss the opportunity to eat the chicken wrapped in a tortilla with some sauce and maybe a little coleslaw. It was delicious. The mac and cheese was also great. You could taste the butter as much as the cheese. Overall, I give Fiesta Chicken really high marks for great food and very reasonable prices. I'll be back! read more

I kind of wished all of that stuff was inside the burrito- i'm not a huge fan of smothered burritos because I don't want to eat it with a fork! but that's just me! my only complaint is the drive thru- this is not taco bell. they take a long time. it's worth it, but it's frustrating if you're in a hurry like I was. also the worker was not very helpful and almost let me leave without getting any salsa! always need salsa with a burrito- they should have asked. Fiesta in my mouth. My only regret is that i waited so long to come here. The charbroiled chicken was cooked perfectly - marinated in a red chili sauce and charred - it came out piping hot and was finger licking delicious. Rice was a little crunchy like from bottom of the pan so that was bummer (someone could crack a tooth!) but the simple frijoles de la olla were on point. This meal def hit the spot and i cannot wait to come back. This place is no frills so dont shine your butt before you come, but the staff was sufficiently friendly and efficient. Nice mexican music playing on the speakers and seems like the staff are a good crew and enjoy working w eachother. Seems like this place can get busy so have some patience.
