There's even a gourmet market in the basement below it with a bakery, pizza, fresh fruits & vegetables, and many specialty chocolates and candies. This part of the store connects to the underground Kongens Nytorv metro station. That's quite convenient for commuters on their way home from work. It's also great for tourists like us who want to buy last minute things like Lakrids of Bülow. There's a shop for that here as well. It's also where you'll find a coffee shop. We would eventually find out that there are many different cafés located on various floors of this department store. We found an express version of Hallernes Smørrebrød. I've written a separate review for this location, but for some reason it just doesn't show up in my Yelp activity. I just wish I had known about the other restaurant location on the top floor that boasts beautiful views of the square. We visited twice and somehow missed it. If anything, it would be nice to see a full directory of each floor listed on their website or near the entrance of the ground floor. The building is on the site of what was once the Hotel du Nord. Hans Christian Andersen was a resident of the hotel from 1838 to 1847. It's not the same building, but they supposedly recreated his room. It can be accessed on the 3rd floor. It's a second part of the store that I regret not seeing. Hence, the 4 star review for not having a clear map to everything without having to go floor by floor. It was a great find when walking through Kongens Nytorv Square. It's difficult to miss the beautiful French architecture of this building. It draws you in as you discover what's inside of it.

I am giving the bulk of this high rating to the basement food court; which is outstanding and a lovely resource. I wouldn't skip the famous Torvehallerne that locals recommend but truthfully you won't do worse at this food court and it is much easier to manage. The rest of the department store is more standard, I got an average shave at its barbershop. But store brand t-shirts were excellent quality. This store's rival is Illum.

This store pretty much carries all the top name brands of clothing and home furnishings including the Japanese brand, MUJI (first time seeing MUJI items in person). On the top floor of ILLUM is a coffee shop named Original Coffee which overlooks the square/courtyard of the Strøget Shopping District. If you are looking to do some high end shopping or want a great view at Original Coffee, check it out.

It seems the new 3rd floor is mostly dedicated to stores that only rich people can go in. I might be wrong, but they look so expensive I don't dare to go in. There's just too many clothing stores to be honest. No mall needs a billion clothing stores. There's 1 bookstore and as far as I remember 2 electronics/entertainment stores, which are pretty much the only stores I go in to. There's however also a very big Føtex, which is super nice, and right in front of that there's an escalator leading down to the metro, which is pretty great. But to be quite honest, this isn't really the mall for me. If you love clothing and don't care about 'Den danske hygge', this might be the mall for you.

Located in Hyllie, access is easy as the mall is right next to the train station. You have 3 levels with a deck on the upper level with some nice views. An abundant variety of retail stores/services (about 220) with a couple of grocery stores (ICA & Willys) and Systembolaget (liquor store). The food court & restaurants are ok with a good variety including Vapiano to Jensen's Bofhus, Joe & the Juice, Thai, Vietnamese, Burgers, sushi and cafes. They have a parking garage as well a roof garden. Decorations are quite nice during the holidays with a huge tree. Currently working on expanding even further. Shop til you drop!

One warning: Don't go to Emporia on the first day of sales season…read more Otherwise, this place is pretty decent shopping mall and far more interesting than Fields, that once bragged the biggest mall in Scandinavia. Emporia has plenty of shops, some of them have their duplicates in Denmark, some don't and those are my favourite - since I have to cross the bridge all the way from Denmark to Sweden to visit this place, so I won't be visiting TGR (Why do they abbreviate Tiger?) or Illums Bolighus for that matter. Mostly I visit Emporia for three reasons: L'occitane (somehow, this is the only place where I found the 500ml shampoo bottle/refill), hardware shop Clas Ohlson (this shop is just freaking awesome, and of course a shop this awesome can't be found anywhere in Copenhagen *thumbs down*) and ICA supermarket (why are Danish supermarkets such downer compared to ICA?) You better make your trip worth it and we always do and go back to our residential land with loads of heavy shopping bags that make our hands hurt. Maximize your shopping, that is!

They transfer the prior season or two from their "current fashion season" merchandise to this discounted storefront right next door. Most of it just has to do with colors of the season. What made it more irresistible was one part of the store was 70% off and the other 50%. It's beautifully done store (as is most everything in CPH). I added more and more things to my pile and had to make the tough decision of what stays and what goes. The jewelry (Danish designs) were unique and practically at given away prices. I picked some necklaces for my friends and also as thank you momentos from me for the ladies at my hotel (Babette Gundsmeden). Maybe this store was too close to my digs. I love the few items that I purchased, all at 70% off...I soon went back to look over their things again. What's nice is that MANY designs fit all body types and sizes. The store right next door also has added great stuff and the newest season colors. The clothes are up there in (regular) price so I went right back into their sale store because their inventory was about the same. The lovely Brighita was so nice, spoke English flawlessly with a slight lovely accent. They hace a nuber of store throughout the city. She prepared my paperwork for ease for me in getting my taxes refunded at the airport. Do not forget to do this prior to entering customs..it adds up. Keep your receipts in order. It's certainly one of the nice shops I have been to and the price won't make you broke. Just sayin' you can shop til you drop here without making a serious dent on your bank account. The location is just few steps away from the busy Nørreport, so it's reachable by any means of transportation. The service is also super friendly and approachable but not in the stalking mode. Unfortunately I didn't find anything of interest last time when I was there but I'm pretty sure I will return again to this shop to check out stuff in the future.

Contrary to the name of the shop, the girls working here are always nice and don't rush me while I'm browsing. There's always a nice range of styles to choose from and the prices are reasonable. Some items are not the best quality, but you get what you pay for. Just take your time and try on a lot of stuff and I'm sure you will find something for yourself at a great price.
