The staff is always happy and helpfully. Regardless of the lines and waists, service turnaround times are always quick. The facility is always clean, well maintained and baseball theme to compliment the 'Fielder's Choice' name. The prices are a little higher than the norm, and the servings are substantial LARGE. A 'Single' size is more than enough for an adult to indulge. read more

I tried the new 7th Inning Stretch sundae made with chocolate hard serve. It was awesome. It had caramel, peanut butter, chocolate covered pretzels, caramel corn and crushed peanuts. It was fun to try a new sundae. read more

The best ice cream in Maine. Huge portions for the money. Great selection of flavors in hard and soft serve formats. Always friendly service with a smile. read more

Grandson approved! Stopped by on our way home from the lake. Indian Pudding is sooooooo good. Peanut butter cup was delicious! Cherry vanilla and cake batter batter also both tasty. Yes, it's cash only. No, that's not my favorite either but there is an ATM in the lobby. Counter staff served up our ice cream very quickly. Servings are generous. Thanks for the picnic tables too. Impromptu stop, making family memories. read more

Black raspberry and strawberry twist ice cream was delicious. Went through the drive-through, and the service was good. Ambiance looks ok.

The place is spotless and the service was good. All I got was chocolate frappe but it was tasty. They also told me that they make their own ice cream on site. read more

The ice cream is very fresh tasting. The services fabulous. The sitting area is well lit with lots of windows for the kiddos to look out. The amount of ice cream and toppings you get for the price is actually cheaper than the dairy joy places. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. The customer service was more than disappointing. When brought to the attention of management that the almonds in my heavenly hash ice cream were rancid and foul tasting, their response was that I could throw it out and buy another one. When we reapproached them, they claimed that nothing was wrong with the almonds, and they said they get them fresh. As a professional baker and someone who has worked in the food industry for 30+ years, I know rancid nuts when I taste them. To be invalidated AND have to throw ice cream out is beyond a bummer. Do better. I'll be buying my ice cream elsewhere. read more

Biggest cookie sandwich I've had in my life! And it was really delicious. Drive through was super quick and easy. It is cash only so make sure you get some cash ahead of time! read more

This place is cash only, which I generally view as suspicious, but it's good enough not to matter. Order a small soft serve and they give you more ice cream than most adults can finish. The quality is surprising, as well. If you are used to the sad barely dairy soft serve that comes from the national chains, you are in for a treat. This is a premium ice cream with none of the bean gums and emulsifiers that make cheap ice cream spongy or bitter. read more

Fielder's Choice Ice Cream - Small hot fudge Sunday, what? - Desserts Near Me - Auburn, Maine

My daughter ordered chocolate peanut-butter cup ice cream tonight. There was nothing in the way of a single peanut-butter cup in the ice cream. I told her to take it back and let them know all she got was chocolate ice cream. The manager told her that they could give her some peanut-butter cup pieces for an additional charge! It was supposed to be included in the ice cream. We have been going there since they opened in the Pizza Hut location. After the treatment tonight (I went in afterwards and got the owners information and intend to call them tomorrow) we will not be bringing our guests nor will we patronize this business again. Such a shame. It all could have been solved by them giving her some pieces of peanut-butter cup to add to the chocolate ice cream. Instead they have a bad review and customers who will not be returning. We can go across the street to Dairy Queen where they add in the items to your ice cream and you are not given plain chocolate if you order peanut-butter cup ice cream or Blizzard. If I was the employee I would have said, "I am so sorry let me fix it for you!" and proceeded to make it right. read more

Cookie dough must be expensive these days, more like chocolate chip ice cream. Cash only too? What is even that. Don't go in the lobby you won't get served for at least 15 minutes. read more

Food is delicious. Amazing ice cream! Laid-back ambiance. Service is great. Portions are generous. A baby size is more like a small. A small is like a Medium, etc. I recommend the Heavenly Hash & maple walnut. read more

I found the ice cream to be much on the soft side (even the hard ice cream). The taste was really good, but would prefer it to be colder and not melt so fast. The portions are ginormous. The baby cone had 2 scoops on it! read more

Bless you for keeping the Auburn store open in winter! Guilty pleasures are certainly needed year round! Great service, great value. Request ... As a family of Non-Chocolate lovers, more vanilla options (peanut butter cup especially) would be appreciated. We think the soft serve seems to melt very quickly Grab a ton of napkins! read more

I like the ice cream. I ordered small cone and it came out too much, I didn't eat all of them. Got me so full

Excellent portions and tasty ice cream for a low price! The staff is friendly and the place is spotless!

My wife and I went to the Minot avenue location to get a couple cups of ice cream. My wife got done almost half of hers and there was a Frozen long hair in her ice cream. We were never offered a replacement. Email the company and message them on Facebook. We were told sorry we will let our staff know to be more careful. Not an offer to make it right, not an offer for a gift card, not an offer for a free ice cream for her to replace the one that had ahair. Very dissatisfied in the hair but more so by the lack of customer service. read more

Now this? THIS is a treasure that every town needs. Clean, relatively inexpensive and delicious. Love it year round.

Wicked large scoops of ice cream and delicious too!!! Lots of flavors and excellent service, prices are great too!

This is one of my favorite places to get ice cream with my friend who lives close. The atmosphere is great and the value and prices are beyond fair. It's nice and cold in there and I was able to use outlets to charge my phone. I have the same order every time- medium pumpkin hard serve w/ hot fudge and peanuts, obviously not including a cone anywhere in the order. But, when I went earlier today, as I got further down into my ice cream, I found small pieces of waffle cone to my surprise. I still ate it but I was very confused :) read more

Fielders is amazinggg!!! I was in elementary school when the sabattus location opened, and being an Oak Hill student we all were in love with Fielder's big taste, and even bigger portions! Not sure how you can go wrong. Only downfall is they only take cash! read more

After several days of craving ice cream I break down, going to fielders. I order a medium 1/2 cookie dough and half cookies and cream. Two of my favorite flavors. I order on come get it in a dish. There are no words to describe the nasty flavor associated with ice cream, maybe it was a texture thing but pretty sure ice cream does not look like balls of rubber. Not impressed to pay close to 5.00 for a cone. Over all impression folks drive a half mile down the road to Gifford half the cost and you even get to eat it. read more

There is no reason to go anywhere else. Highest quality ingredients, fast service, and high standards for their product. Just know what you're getting into before hand - the servings are generous. The two of us usually split a baby or small size and it's just enough to get our fix. We've affectionately renamed it to "The Field of Dreams" read more
