After choosing some lettuce, beets and salad turnips I asked the nice young lady if she had a smaller Napa cabbage. She says "just a minute" walks into the field, and cuts a smaller one!! A wonderful place.... It sounds crazy but I've never seen a head of lettuce right out of the field.... It's beautiful and the taste is incredible! I posted a picture on FB just so my friends could see what fresh produce really looks like!!

It's not the typical "which fruits do you want and we deliver to your door!" type of CSA. This CSA is based in a special kind of farming called biodynamic farming. This is organics on steroids (well, maybe I could have said that a better way, but you get the idea!). Farmers Gloria and Stephen even use horses (hence the truly live power) to work their fields. Another part of it is that, in order to create community and connect people to the farm, members take on part of the work. They don't farm, per se, but they help organize delivery logistics and sorting the vegetables. This CSA is for you if you really care about food activism and reorganizing our economy for equity and sustainability. I've been a member for over a year now and I feel great about the contribution I'm making, the food I'm getting and feeding my children and the friends I've made. I love eating delicious food I can trust!

We've been buying from Fowler Family Farm for almost two years now. They are an incredible small…read morefamily farm. They raise pastured beef, chicken, lamb, pork and goat and turkeys at Thanksgiving. You need to order your Turkey many months ahead. We buy all the meat our family eats from them and it's the best we've ever eaten. You can buy whole, half or quarters and they also have a wonderful meat CSA so you can get a variety each month if you prefer. You can visit the farm and see how they raise the animals. It's a great family farm, the kind we need to support if we're going t have access to real healthy food for our families. I recommend them highly!

For you youngsters, no need to pay attention the bathroom details. They have cats. The cats want you to pet them and show them attention. If u do not show them attention, they will back you into a corner and act all cute until you pet them. I called ahead, and the senora that answered was very nice and helpful. I have a tendency to talk while others are talking, and she didnt mind that at all. She held 3 pies for me until I got off of work. She didn't actually hold them in her hands for 8 hours. She had them in the freezer. 3 pies, and @2 pounds of peaches was $85.00. The marrionberry pie was incredible!!!! You take and bake. Instructions are on the box and easy to follow. Only if you are remotely able to follow directions, and have an oven. I am a Cement finisher and was able to accomplish this on my own, no help from my amazingly beautiful wife. The pies reminded me of my grandma's pies she use to make when i was a young lad, and she was alive. Hope this was helpful to a human.
