When the ice storm hit, I thought for sure they might cancel or at least show up late. But they were right on time ready to tackle the job. I was blown away by their workmanship. Just finished getting a carpet runner installed on my stairs by Maple. The experience was great…read morefrom end to end. Found them at random (I think their Yelp add got my attention) and called the number. Haneef who is in charge called me back within a few minutes and accommodated my work schedule to set up a free visit to quote on the work. Once in my house he looked at the wallpaper, flooring and colour scheme and went back to his vehicle to bring some carpet samples that matched our decor. I much preferred this than having to go through the hundreds of options, Haneef has experience and taste and it was easier to choose from a small sample set than from a giant book. When he quoted the price I was happy, it was fair so I didn't negotiate. They promised 14 day turn around and within 5 days the carpet was fabricated and they called to schedule a Saturday morning install. The installers arrived on schedule, got to work quickly, and were done in an hour and a half. The stairs look great and the workmanship was excellent. I am a stickler for details and they really did a good job. The guys doing the work were polite and professional, and they cleaned up before taking off. I'm pretty happy. I love it when this sort of thing is easy and it was. Thanks Maple and Haneef, if I have another carpet need or set of stairs I will get in touch again.

If you are sick to death of trying to sort through the re-stacked lumber piles at the big orange store or the other American owned blue big box HW store, just to find one or two usable pieces when you wanted 20 ... you should try Peacock. Their lumber is a few pennies more expensive per board foot but I have never seen higher quality AND they don't let idiots rifle through their stacks, destroying all the lumber for other customers. I'm not the world's best carpenter so I need relatively straight and true lumber in order to do a half decent job. I only buy Peacock PT. Great selection of trim and moulding and one of the few places that still has a limited supply of mahogany
