Very nice craft beer bar located near the Sheraton Maria Isabel on la Reforma. They have an extensive offering of craft beers brewed in Mexico as well as beers from Belgium and other locations. It's a nice option from the typical well known Mexican beers that are mainly lagers. I tried a sampler of 8 beers. The waiter asked me my preference in terms of hoppiness, then chose a selection of beers that included IPAs, pale ales, a hellesbock and stouts. All were very good to excellent. I noticed there was also a Mexican tripel that was not included on the sampler. It was the only bad beer I had, lacking any of the nice yeast flavor so typical of Belgian tripels. I happened to sit next to an American businessman who loves Belgian beers. He ordered me a Delirium Tremens, which is an excellent tripel that was much better then the Mexican-brewed tripel. I highly recommend Fiebre de Malta for a good exposure to some excellent Mexican craft beers. read more

Good beer selection! This place has about thirty beers on tap- with a heavy focus on Mexican beers, and many European beers for the darker, more exotic beers. When you have a seat, they hand you a beer menu that's like those paint swatches you get from the home improvement store. It had colors of beer, country of origin, ABV, IBU, and tasting notes, so you know exactly what you're looking at. The beer prices were higher than many of the other places, but their selection was superior to any of the most other beer places I visited. They also serve food! I had the swordfish tacos, and the mango ceviche. The ceviche was more mango than fish, and had a bit of heat to it from jalapenos. The swordfish seemed to be a tad overcooked, but still flavorful. The prices were a tad north of moderate for mediocre food. The atmosphere was cool- you can peer into their walk-in cooler to see the beers chilling out in the cold room. They also had televisions around the place tuned to sports. The outdoor patio area is a great place to watch the traffic roll by, and the retractable shades made sure that the area was comfortable. It's in a nice neighborhood, right around the corner from the Angel of Independence, and there are lots of other places in the neighborhood. read more

I always stop by Fiebre de Malta if I'm in Mexico City craving a burger. Although the burgers aren't quite as good as they are in the States, they definitely deliver and I am a fan. In addition to the good burger options, Fiebre de Malta is best known for the craft beer options they have. While they are a bit expensive for Mexico City, the abundance of options here is great. I'm a fan of the Red ale and the darker beers as well. Definitely stop by if you're looking for that American burger and craft beer experience in DF. read more

I was very impressed by my visit. Both the beer and the food were superb, and our waitress was friendly and helpful. We ordered the onion rings and the Enchiladas de Jamaica. The onion rings were crispy and tasty, and came with a jalapeño aioli that had a hint or horseradish. I loved it. The enchiladas de jamaica were the star of the show. When we ordered it, I didn't realize that it would be a mole dish. I'm a big fan of dark/black mole chicken enchiladas, but I'm very picky about the particular flavor profile of the mole sauce (I prefer black mole, a little sweet, less bitter). The mole de jamaica didn't really have much of the hibiscus/jamaica flavor, but just enough to know it was there. The rest of the mole flavor is nutty and chocolatey. In my personal opinion, it's the perfect mole negro. On to the beer! I ordered an Alebrije Agabber Agave Red Ale, an Engel hefeweizen, a Tempus dorada golden ale, and their specialty porter (don't know the specifics on that). The hefeweizen was one of the best I've ever had. Strong orange flavor, low acidity, hints of honey. The rest of the beers weren't my favorite, but I'm extremely picky about which varieties of beer I like. If you're going to Mexico City and want to try some good craft beers, Fiebre De Malta is your mecca. read more

The beer flight is not on the menu. We only discovered it as a result of other Yelp reviews. The serving size also seems a lot bigger in pictures, but they are very comparable in size to typical beer flights in the US. There are a lot of options to choose from, and since you're allowed to get 8, it gets really hard to differentiate between the ones you liked vs. the ones you were ehh about. read more

I liked this place. I liked it so much that I went twice on my last trip to the DF - once with a friend and another time with my dear wife. The thing to get here is the 8 beer flight (sampler). You'll receive 8 randomly chosen craft brews (70ml of each). Since you're going to consume some alcohol, you might as well eat something. I recommend any of their taco platters - done just as you'd expect from a quality Mexican eatery. The brews that really stood out (and it's why I returned) are: Lindmans Framboise - it's a Belgian raspberry brew and I found it to be strong, sweet, but satisfying. Then for the manly-man, try any of the two dark stouts on the card menu (sorry, the names escape me now) - both were great with their own character and didn't come off as Guinness clones. Finally, we asked the server how much it would be to take home one of the brews in one of their two-liter bottles. The price was way too high (~$800 mxn pesos if I recall), so we had to pass. read more

What a disappointment. The first beer I ordered, they didn't have. The second one I ordered arrived in a timely manner and was tasty. The third one was forgotten as soon as I ordered it and required reminding about when it hadn't arrived 20 minutes later. Sigh. Plus the food took about 45 minutes to arrive and was cold when it finally showed up. The response to our request that they warm it up was tepid, as was the food the second time it was presented. To top it all off, our 50 pesos change was presented in five stacks of one peso coins, plus two extra to add up to the 47 that were owed to us. Seriously? We understand that they were eager to get on with their New Year's Eve, as were we, but this was just a totally unprofessional clown show all the way. Ugh. read more

Great selection of beer and tapas style food. Must try the ceviche and tacos! It's located on a nice street with lots of cool places to eat and lounge. Watching football is a major events so be ready to scream with the locals even though you have no idea which team is playing. read more

Great and unique concept! They have many beers and a great chart to see which ones you would like. They also have an option of trying a flight of 8 for $119 which is a good deal considering its like drinking 2 craft beers. The menu is good too. I tried the pulled pork and friend's had the fish tacos. Both were enjoyed. It's a good atmosphere and the waiter's are very nice. I would highly recommend and I would go back. read more
