It's Fidel's. If you have been in Aarhus, you know what Fidel's is, and how nice it is. The Copenhagen version of Fidels is not that great. The place is located what felt like far away from the central city and was pretty hard to find.
The room that you enter, when having walked up the stairs, to see the bar is pretty big and doesn't scream cocktails. A cocktail bar should be intimate and cozy, but this place tried very hard to be more like a disco than anything else. The music was super loud and some people were dancing in the middle of the room.
As always, I ordered an old fashion as my first drink, and was greatly disappointed. Having such a massive selection of booze either says that "we want to offer anything you can imagine" or "we don't really know what we're doing" - and my mind drifted off to the latter. Their menu card had a massive selection, ranging from classics to really weird ones. It felt confusing more than anything else.
The price was at the same level as other cocktail bars in Copenhagen, but the quality was much lower. Had the drink been 20-25kr cheaper, I would have been okay with the quality being worse.
