I hired Fidelity Tax Relief to resolve my irs issue. After paying them $3,000 and months of waiting. I finally heard from the irs. Who said my offer was in compromise because Fidelity neglected to get them information they needed to approve my case. They failed to contact me via phone to let me know what was going on. As a result , I'm out of money. I could've paid $3,000 to the irs. and nothing has happened, and they hav'nt called or contacted me. I started an OIC process with Fidelity Tax Relief over 4 years ago. Their services promised some type of resolution in a suitable timeline. Since then they have dropped the ball multiple times with requesting and getting documents from me to send the IRS in accordance with their deadlines. I have had 2 offers turned down and we submitted a 3rd offer in Q4 of 2020. It is now June 2021, and I have not received a single update regarding my case despite having sent 18 emails and making multiple phone calls to Fidelity. Each time I call I am told the IRS is very behind and understaffed due to the pandemic and that my enrolled agent has to get an update from the IRS to share with me. I had not filed taxes in over 5 years assuming I would be okay. The Faster you RUN, from this company the better you will be... This whole experience in working with Fidelity tax relief has been nothing short of a complete joke and waste of time. We have been working with this company for the past almost 3 years now with nothing but bad experiences from the very start till current. If their yelp ratings and google ratings haven't already scared you off then just read the testimonials on each. Same problem different client. 3 years ago we looked for a company that could help us because we made some mistakes on our taxes (not claiming enough, got married but filed separate, had kids and both my wife and I claimed the kids not knowing the other had already done it) that's all our fault so found fidelity and hoped they could get us out of the mess we got into. anybody looking for tax relief is already stressed and overwhelmed with all of this or you wouldn't be looking for a company. when we started with this company we owed around $16k dollars. we paid fidelity $2500 which we were told was from start to finish, everything included and could take up to a year. year 1 passes and we have $1500 taken out from fidelity from our checking account without our knowledge. we're already stressed about owing money this they take this amount out. we called several times to hear them say we were given the wrong info when we started and the guy (jessie) who was let go didn't give us the right info. nothing we did or said got us that money back. we were transferred to several people during the course of "working" with fidelity and every single person was non responsive and never got back to us. I have so much more to say but I don't want to waste any more time with this company. complete scam and waste of time and money. long story short, it ended up being 3 years to resolve our $16k we owe and with interest, non payment etc. from the IRS we now owe $24k. we've had to pay an extra $15k on top of what we originally owed working with these clowns and frauds. please don't use this company as they need to be put out of business. you get what you pay for. lesson learned. read more

Beware of this company, they are running a very sophisticated scam. The rep Sean Fowler and Lilian Rosas will call and sell in my case a $30K savings for $1050 fee total and then after they receive the money the reps Sean and Lilian lied (gaslighting) stating that they never stated that and in fact the fee is $15K, when I requested a refund there is non stop rudeness and lies. This place is garbage! Their customer service sucks!!!!!!!!!!!! I called left messages for over two weeks and no-one called. Then one day I get a call that the representative was out on an emergency. I'm good with that. What I am not good with is a phone message stating I am out of the office contact _____ or an automated email that reads I am out of the office contact _____ for assistance. Always an excuse as to why they don't call you back. The internet was down...what does the internet have to do with you calling me? Then they ask for the same documents over and over. The manager seems to think its about how long it takes to negotiate and I told him its your customer service and as you take your time the interest continues to go up. Since they did nothing for me I requested a refund. Now he wants to get all to the fine print and why I can't get a refund. You did NOTHING but you want to keep my money! That sounds like a fair deal. Ma'am it takes time...Sir it's not about time its about your customer service! It sucks! And to top it off you go to you have 3 days to cancel. I have never been so disappointed and disillusioned in my life than I was with this business. Long story short, they charged me $1500 - telling me they were giving me a break from their usual fee of $2500 because of my dire circumstances - to save me less than $130 in penalties from the IRS. The first time they redid my taxes (in their effort to lower the $8000 I owed the IRS), they sent me paperwork to sign saying I owed an ADDITIONAL $7000 on top of the existing debt. They figured this by listing my In Home Support Services income - money I earn for caring for my severely disabled daughter who requires complicated medical and behavioral care - as taxable. It isn't. I had to call my union advocate to get the Income Tax Code number and convey this to them - the so-called tax experts. After resubmitting, I got a refund of $4,700, which, naturally, went directly to the IRS. A $190 state refund I was owed was also intercepted by the IRS. They said I didn't have to worry about the remaining $3,300 I owed because I qualified as uncollectable - not because of anything they did, but because injuries from my daughter have prevented me from working the second job I used to have so the only income I have now is non-taxable (and doesn't even begin to meet my cost of living, much less my daughter's large out of pocket medical costs); THAT is what renders Me uncollectable . I asked what exactly they had done for me and they said they'd saved me $312 in penalties. Minus the $190 the state managed to get because my uncollectable status had "just kicked in" the very day I talked to FTR (total bs), that means they actually saved me $122. They added that I would soon get a letter from the IRS that would "sound threatening", but I should just ignore it. My guess is they didn't do ANYTHING and the IRS will continue to try to collect from me until I ask someone who really is a tax expert. Sam and Jason were masters of deceit; charming, sympathetic to my TRULY dire circumstances and my daughter's deteriorating health, and confident they could help. By golly, Sam even worked like a fiend in his effort to help me take out a new line of credit when my existing credit card didn't cover his fees. So, yeah, I will actually be paying 24% interest on that $1500 for a long time to come. My first mistake was ignoring advice I've heard in the past to never trust ANY company that solicits your business. My second mistake was to think all young men are as honest and trustworthy as my grown sons. read more
