I went in to get a couple quotes, the conversation went great. Mr Patnode understood what I was looking for and needed. He asked if he could take 2 days to get back to me. I said no problem, I appreciated the interaction thus far. A few days goes by.....nothing, no call/email from the agency. Well, he did say it was going to take a few days, that's fine. Wait another few days, still nothing. I was surprised because the initial meeting went so well. Maybe my paperwork got buried on his desk. Alright, I figured I would just send a friendly reminder that I'm still waiting to hear back, so I sent a follow up email.....not even the courtesy of a response. My search for auto insurance stopped here! Mass has a new rule where most places need to quote you about the same but what sold me on this place was the service. I spoke to Jason who was fantastic. I had been thinking of buying a new car and had been registered in RI previously so wasn't too familiar with the differences. Jason was able to scan a bunch of different carriers like Arbella and Travellers and give me the best price. He also helped me with the level of coverages that were right for me and the car. When it finally came down to me getting the car and going in there for the paper work he did everything so professionally and honestly. They do DMV runs for you too! read more

Having recently moved our company to Brighton, we wanted to switch to a local insurance agent. We checked Yelp, saw Patenode's great reviews, and called them last Thursday AM. They were busy at the time, but said they'd call us back later that day. That was Thursday, and by the following Monday evening we still hadn't heard from them. So we called again and left a message regarding our first call the prior week, and asked that they call us on Tuesday AM so that we could get everything going ASAP. By 12-noon Wednesday, they still hadn't called, so we called again and spoke with a friendly guy who apologized and assured us he'd get back to us that afternoon. We still haven't heard back from him or anyone else there as of Thursday evening, so I guess they're so busy keeping all their existing customers happy that they don't have time for new customers. I don't write reviews often, only when I am blown away. F.I. Patnode insurance is above and beyond these 5 stars. I used them for both auto and renters insurance. Jason and Marty know my face and name, always answer the phone, always have time to thoroughly address your questions. My husband and I moved over 6 months ago across the country, and I forgot to cancel my renters insurance. I called, said "hi my name is ___ ___" and Marty remembered me, called my husband by name, asked if he was still working at XX, etc... I am so so impressed with the customer service here. Plus he of course completely took care of my request. They are knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and easily accessible. I have always felt completely taken care of, and confident that they have my best interests in mind. I stumbled onto Patnode because I was living in Brighton when I bought a new car, and it was the best thing that ever happened to me- 5 years later and I have moved all around Boston, and even though getting to Brighton could be tough it was always worth working with these guys. In MA there is real value in having an insurance agent...the RMV is not exactly user friendly. I cannot say enough about the customer service I receive every time I call. Martin knows exactly who I am whenever I call, and is exceedingly patient with the crazy out of state title, registration, or policy questions I always seem to need answered. I used to think that I should switch to one of those online insurers, but they're not cheaper, and even if they were it would be literally impossible for the online guys to offer better customer service. Throw in the great advice they give about how much coverage you really need and I have no doubt that working with these guys saved me money. Now that I've moved out of the state I am genuinely upset that I cannot work with them anymore. In all honesty, you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't give these guys a call. read more

They showed me great insurance options, and even worked with the insurance provider I wanted to negotiate a custom package. I get a holiday card every year, and my bill when it's time to review.
