At $6 a dozen, delivered right to your door, it's a deal! And a perk of living in a small town. Sometimes they are for sale at 15 Mile Winery in The Dalles, with a post on FB so you know they are available. The packaging is as beautiful as the eggs themselves! The square containers hold 3 rows of four eggs each, and each container has a variety of egg colors. They all taste the same, but I love the variety. Once you eat fresh eggs, there is no going back. The yolks are bright yellow/orange and the flavor is so good. When I get them, I always make scrambled eggs the next day or bucatini carbonara for dinner to take advantage of that fresh taste. You can request them unwashed, with the bloom still in the shell, natures way of preserving. Or you can ordered clean. Either way, they last much longer than the eggs you buy at the supermarket.
