At that time the assured me that they would come for the scheduled days and send me pictures or updates regarding my cats. When I left home on Friday I left out 2 bowls of water and 4 dishes of food. Every day that I was away I received pictures and/or updates about my cats via text message. When I arrived home Monday evening (July 12th), both bowls of water only had water covering the bottom and the food was only covering the bottom of ALL 4 food dishes. I have left my cats alone for 2 days in the past, with no one coming into the home to check on them, with the same set up of food and water(2 water bowls and 4 dishes of food). After 2 days of the cats being alone in the past, all of the bowls would still be about 80% full when I returned home. That was not the case when I returned after 4 days away with people supposedly caring for my pets. There is no way that they were filling their food and water daily, like I had contacted for them to do. I was very disappointed, but decided to just pay my bill and move on. I recently requested my keys back and they informed me they would be sent back via certified mail and there was a $20 charge to mail them per our contract. The same contract that stated the cats would be cared for daily. Their audacity in asking for $20 to get my keys back is what prompted me to leave this rating. I normally do not write reviews, but I wanted to warn others who care for their pets as much as I do, to BEWARE OF THIS SERVICE.

Dave is vigilant re: up to date shots and always takes notes re: feeding preferences. I feel secure that our dog is safe in her own run and is always enthusiastic about going to Rustic Ridge. While the facilities are older, they appear to be well maintained and always clean during my visits. The size of the indoor and outdoor runs are similar in size to most boarding kennels that I have used in the past. Rustic Ridge meets our needs and I feel comfortable that our dog is secure and well looked after in their care.

Our former groomer has retired, and we had heard good things about The Happy Hound. Wow! This place did not just do a good job, they blew my socks off! They did a fantastic job with everything! They bathed him, dried him, groomed him, trimmed his feet with love, and when we picked him up, he had a little bandanna on and was wagging his little docked tail with happiness. I can tell that he actually had a good time getting groomed here. He looks and smells great, and is totally happy. The Happy Hound is clean, professional, and staffed with people who really love animals. We have found a new groomer, and I am just totally stoked! I realize it's just our first visit, but trust me - I have been around the block when it comes to dogs and groomers. This place is solid! I recommend The Happy Hound 100%. They are so cool - they even gave him a free toy to celebrate his first visit.

He also crammed around 20 dogs into a small store filled with toys and treats, which caused a fight to break out -- and he acted like he was above it all. The whole scene was chaotic, dangerous, and completely irresponsible. At one point, I even asked another person in the class who the trainer was because I couldn't believe this man's behavior. It was shocking and uncomfortable to watch. This owner clearly doesn't know how to train dogs or communicate with humans. What was supposed to be a 15-minute check-in turned into nearly an hour of being talked down to in a way that felt unnecessarily condescending. Even more frustrating is that Misty Pines knows exactly which client incident prompted this change. Why penalize the entire community of responsible owners with a blanket policy, instead of addressing the issue directly? This used to be a beloved space for me and my dogs--a true "third place." But the tone, the policy shift, and the disregard for loyal clients have made it clear that we're no longer welcome.
