I made the initial contact with Figs and Honey to make sure they were available on our date and that they would be willing to travel to our obscure and out-of-the-way venue at a nature conservation center in Newton County. After confirming those two details, Mr. P. handled the rest of the planning. He reports that the lines of communication were always open and our event planner (Debbie) made everything very easy. Since we live in Denver, we weren't able to attend a tasting prior to making food selections. The menu is large and varied and everything sounded delicious. Unfortunately, we didn't have an unlimited budget, so we had to narrow things down and make smart choices. We wanted some passed apps while everyone waited for the happy couple to arrive, a few more passed apps after the vow renewal ceremony, and a buffet dinner. We supplied our own cake, which F&H kindly cut and served for us. Catering relies heavily on timing, and this experience fell far short of expectations for the price point.
