We still have a ways to go but I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm a father in another state with a daughter in Ypsi. Ms. Novar really has been working hard so I can see my daughter first Skype than visits. I can only speak on my experience but if you have been getting shafted by foc recommendations and you know you deserve more. Start putting some cash aside and hire Ms. Novar. It's worth the money, and honestly she is less expensive than alot of the other lawyers I called around to. Plus she seemed more receptive to me. She will school you on what you need to do vs what you have been doing. She is very patient (I'm sure I pushed her buttons being demanding ) and will guide you if you are willing to listen. Karl and I had spent many of our scouting adventures together. So when I needed legal help it was only natural that I think of them first and with great respect for their trade. I have used Karl for 3 different cases. Have not been happy with any of them and took his excuses with merit and let the hard feelings go and set aside I felt I was highly over charged for the effort he showed toward my estate he handled of my mother's in 2012 so in 2014 I had a horrible issue with a builder who took my money to only start the job and not come back in which Karl ran me up a huge bill that paid in full and he had excuses to why we couldn't recover any of my money after I spent more with him then I was pursuing! Then dec 2017 I hired him to handle my divorce and tho I had several of our personal friends tell me I should hire some else but I was blinded by the ideal that our long time business and child hood friendship would motivate him to help me get a break even deal knowing that I was not asking for anything that was not mine before the marriage just to get back stuff like furniture and Comcast boxes and after thousands of dollars billed and paid he couldn't even get me the cable boxes returned so with great sadness I have to say I too highly recommend you find another business to handle your basic lawyer needs. He was handed his ass by my exwife lawyer who works out of his basement. And doesn't wear fancy watches and talk about sending his kid to Yale. These horrible experiences had finished our friendship on a very sad and personal low for myself. Keep looking and don't waste your time or money here like I did.

I left with the impression she'd agreed to be my attorney -- she told me she would take my case and she explained in depth the cost structure and how to leave a retainer. I needed a couple of weeks to work out the money situation, and when I came back to sign up with her, she never responded to my attempts to make contact. I later called and a secretary told me this is common practice for Ms. Sendlebach -- she will charge you for a consultation and then ghost you if she decides she doesn't want to take the case. Honestly, I feel scammed out of $650. She could have just said she wasn't taking new clients and I would have gone elsewhere. Or if she said during our conversation that my case seemed too complicated for the time she has open, I would not have continued sitting there talking to her about my case. This is a very stressful time in my life, and I would not recommend using Ms. Sendlebach until she changes her policies.
