If you are reading this review, then you are on the right track. A year and a half ago, we read various reviews and looked for a clinic and a doctor who would help us. It happened so that we realized that there was no more time to wait and we needed help as we are over 40. We looked for various options, looking at clinics in the United States. But our insurance did not cover these services. In vitro fertilization (IVF) in the USA cost around $30,000. And nobody gives a guarantee that the procedure will work on the first try. We liked the feedback about Dr. Fabian Walters's Fertilite Clinic. In August 2020, we made an appointment with Dr. Walters. The main criteria were: confidence, professionalism, clear and precise explanation of the treatment plan. When we left the doctor's office with my wife, we did not even discuss the further search for a doctor, we already understood that this was our doctor. We liked Hospital Angeles where the clinic is located. All laboratory tests and procedures were done at the hospital, which was very convenient. Excellent doctors work there. Of course, there were some difficulties in crossing the border; but believe me, in comparison with the prices in the USA for this service and treatment by Dr. Walters, it was worth it. Hospital Angeles is located in the Zona Rio, the best area in Tijuana. After crossing the border, we took a taxi to the Zona Rio for $6. There are nice hotels and restaurants in the area. Also, good pharmacies are around, it was easy to buy all medications. It was our first try and during each visit to the doctor we became more and more confident that everything would work. The procedure cost $4,000, the hormones for injections were $3,000. The clinic provided optional genetic testing of embryos. The doctor has many patients. But the appointments were always on time. Everything was organized well. And most importantly, all examinations and procedures were carried out by the doctor himself. Our boy was born in October 2021. Dr. Walters made our baby dreams COME TRUE. His office is clean and very modern equipment. There is a parking structure with security guards walking around all the time so I felt very safe. Not at all what I was expecting when I thought about going to a doctor in Tijuana. The doctors office is actually attached to the hospital so if he orders tests or lab work you can get it done there no problem. He gets the results asap. Dr. Walters and his team worked wonders. I found them to be very professional and for our very first visit he did have a translator there for us in case we needed help communicating, but he speaks pretty good English. If I had any questions I'd either call or email and I always heard back from them with whatever questions I had answered. I have recommended Dr Walters to so many people and I would continue to recommend him. The cost is great and if you take a friend or family member there is carpool most of the way from Los Angeles so you don't get stuck in traffic. His office is only about 2 miles from the boarder in a good area so you're not going down shady streets or anything. It's literally across the street from TGI Fridays, IHOP and Sam's Club. It's a very modernized area. My husband and I went to Dr Walters after trying to get pregnant for about 7 years. We exhausted all our options covered by our insurance and IVF in the States is so expensive. I have PCOS and he has slow motility. We tried 3 rounds of IUI just because it was less invasive and costs way less, but no luck. We ended up trying IVF. We only had 2 embryos that were viable out of 17 that were extracted. We decided to transfer only one at a time and thankfully the first one took and we actually ended up having TWINS!!! The embryo split and we were blessed with 2 beautiful baby girls. My husband and I had gone through fertility treatments in the US for years that had ultimately failed us. We went in search of Dr Walter's after hearing from him from a former patient of his. From the time we started the process to the end, we received the best care. They have modern equipment, everything was extremely thought out and I was monitored every step of the way. I never felt like they were a money grab, they even postponed me at certain points until my body responded to treatment so that we would have the best possible outcome which didn't benefit them at all. The best thing I ever did was decide to do IVF at Fertilite with Dr Walters. My husband and I had been trying to conceive since 2018. We suffered 3 miscarriages and 2 ectopic pregnancies. We decided to undergo IVF in Mexico and decided to go with Dr Walters because of all the good reviews. Dr walters was very professional and explained the whole process to us and what to do to give us our best chance. We did one complete round of IVF and After egg retrieval and PGS testing, we had 3 good embryos. At the first transfer we transfered 2 embryos. I did get pregnant but had a miscarriage 6 weeks later. About a month or so after, we decided to transfer our last embryo. Dr Walters put us on additional medications to help us have a successful pregnancy. This time our prayers were answered and the pregnancy stuck. We are happy to announce that we welcomed our baby girl on July 16th 2022 at 36 weeks and 5 days. I have read good things about this place and this Doctor so I made appointment with him, he took us in a explained what was going on and situation of wife's pos and the miscarriage we had a year ago but he was confident that with his treatments it would be best choice and we thought the same IVF would do it. Unfortunately with all treatments wife's egg weren't able to develop to a size it was suppose to so we got more treatments until finally they were at a good size to do the extraction from all the eggs Dr. Walters was able to extract 20 but only 2 were in great shape days passed to tell us it is going well with the sperm and on the 5 day notified us non of the eggs developed so it was a fail. Very disappointed but to be fair doctor and nurses where helpful it just didn't work for us and for those new parents this treatment worked great job and God bless! read more

Drove to Tijuana from LA California for a consultation. To make the trip less stressful we stayed in San Diego just 10 minutes from the border. This clinic is just a few miles away once entering the border. Maps on any smart phone works perfect to arrive here (keep in mind) driving in TJ is very different and can get very confusing therefore the App WAZE for directions will be the best option. It was my first time driving to this clinic and made it just fine, the Doctor was very helpful in explaining the procedure, the time frame and answered all our questions and doubts. I waited after the whole IVF treatment to post this review hoping it could be better but no: My experience is that they were not committed to my treatment. They lack ethics or any regard for the patients wellbeing. I was left with the impression of them only being interested in the money I payed and never wanted to be held accountable for the results. I know fertility treatments are somewhat unpredictable but their attitude and inefficiency really discouraged me from believing my dream of having a baby possible. Dr Walters did not even have me a direct way to contact him until things got complicated and I had to pressure to get a cell number. The staff also has an unwelcoming and cold demeanor making a fertility treatment more stressful than it needs to be. They also don't care for educating the patient or elaborating in options. I felt misguided and uncomfortable. Invest your money in INGENES which is a far superior and unquestionable ethics that warranties a baby or your money back!!!! I am a customer and no one payed me for this. I wished someone had WARNED me about Fertilite and had referred me earlier to INGENES a wonderful clinic with warm and caring staff that really takes my dream seriously and I can tell they do their job with love. My doctor is empathetic and positive. Words can't even express how lucky I am to have found Dr. Walters at Fertilite in Tijuana. I'm 45 years old and after almost 4 years of trying to get pregnant in the states via IVF we decided to try Fertilite. My IVF experience in the U.S. was very disappointing and extremely expensive which made it very stressful. After my first IVF retrieval with Dr. Walters we were blessed with a viable healthy embryo and I am now 9 weeks pregnant at the age of 45. Most doctors in the U.S would have told me I have a less then 10% chance. Dr. Walters doesn't focus too much on what CAN'T be done. He was positive during my consultations and did everything he can to help us. He didn't spend time showing me charts of what can't be achieved! The IVF costs are extremely reasonable at Fertilite compared to the U.S. It's a fraction of the cost. They make it feasible to have multiple retrievals if necessary without having to stress out about finances if your first round wasn't successful. The doctor and staff are extremely skilled and professional. The office and hospital facilities are immaculately clean. They have state of the art medical equipment. My husband and I are so impressed with the service we received at Fertilite vs. the service in the U.S. The nurses at Fertilite are wonderful and attentive. There were many occasions when I had questions late night or over the weekend and we easily communicate via WhatApp and they reply to me regardless of the day or hour. They always follow-up with the doctor and get back to me in a timely manner with his response. When you are in the process of retrieval or after implantation things may happen and you will have questions but the nurses and Dr. Walters are just one text message away responding in a fairly timely manner. Communication with the staff is fairly easy and if you don't understand they'll always find someone who can easily translate. All my instructions for medication and post-op are in English and easy to follow. The pharmacies in the area are fairly close to the hospital and they always have the medication in stock. The only difficult aspect I would say is at the boarder to return home. Entering Tijuana is easy breezy but coming back in the U.S is very time consuming and you have to have patience. We recently figured out that if you park your car at the last stop of the San Diego Trolley - Blue Line - San Ysidro Stop (many parking available) you can easily walk over the boarder and go directly to the taxi stand and take a taxi directly to the hospital this cuts your wait time coming back into the states by at least 2-3 hours (note: bring cash for the taxi). The line to walk back across the boarder into the U.S is a lot quicker and less stressful than driving. I highly recommend Dr. Walters and his clinic Fertilite. He is an amazing and very experienced fertility doctor and you will not be disappointed with his service or the staff's service. Top Notch Service and Results! After going to the Gyno in CA for years and getting no answers I decided to cross the border and go to Fertilite, I'm glad I did! I spoke to the Dr. and was asked numerous questions during my consultation and the same day I was send out for labs and ultrasounds. The hospital is immaculate and the service is professional. They have a nutriologist and pharmacy in the same building. After reading all the positive reviews my husband and I decided to go with Fertilite. Idk if we just had bad luck w/ the office because all the reviews were so good. But this was our experience. Pos: when I called to make the initial appointment the young lady on the phone was super nice which made me feel good about it. The office is easy to find and parking is secure. 1st visit with Dr. Walters went well. He was straight to the point, no fluff, and good bedside manners. We decided to continue with this specific clinic at this point. Neg: upon arrival for the 1st visit the 2 young ladies at the desk told me to have a seat & they would call me when they were ready. 20 mins later I noticed they were both on their cell phones, one of them had head phones on. I went back up & they said "oh fill this out" as they handed me a clipboard with paperwork. It bothered me as it came off as rude. But it was my 1st apt & I just shrugged it off. After my apt, I was put on bc to regulate my period in order to start IVF. I was also given by the dr what he said were lab work orders to get blood work done in the states (I live in Sd). I asked if they would accept his "order" because I've had lab work done b4 & it didn't look like an order. He said yes. In SD they refused to do my lab work as it wasn't a proper order. I called the office to ask them two questions 1) when to stop taking the bc and 2) if I could just do the lab work at their hospital the day of my next apt & if dr could still see me w/out results. They said someone would call me. Nobody ever called me back! I called back 4 days later & I got my answer. We were told to bring my husbands semen sample from SD ( we had it frozen) to our next apt, but to call & let them know we were bringing it. I called to tell them & theytold me "well you need to tell Vanessa, but she isn't here so call back at 3:30pm". I called back the next three days asking for this Vanessa. On the last call they tell me "Vanessa isn't the one you want to tell" omg! At this point I'm getting super annoyed. So I tell them, well could you tell whoever the proper person is that we will be bringing the sample. She said yes, and that they will make the proper arrangements for it. B4 my apt I get a msg on WhatsApp from the office asking me what time I was going to the office that way they can make arrangements with the proper lab to take our sperm. I tell them I'm going at 10am (the time of my appointment) and that we have our sperm. The lady says "oh you have the sperm" at this point I ask her to call me Instead of going back & forth through messages. When she calls me I explain to her again that we have the frozen sperm & will be taking it with us. She tells me "how do you have the sperm? It's going to be ruined! It needs to be in a nitrogen tank" I tell her "yes we understand that, and we have it in a nitrogen tank that our sd lab gave us and the sperm is good for 10 days" she still didn't seem to understand so I had to explain it over and over. And here's the thing, I speak fluent Spanish! So it def wasn't a language barrier. Finally she goes "ohhhh ok". We arrive to our second appointment with our tank with sperm. Prior to the apt we went to the hospital that's attached to the office for that blood work. I kid you not, the hospital wanted to charge me $500 for a few tests. Both my parents are from Tijuana and I knew they were trying to rip me off. I didn't do the blood work. So when we go to Dr. Walters appointment guess what.....there is nobody at the front desk. We waited 20 minutes before the secretary walts in. I'm at the counter and I say "hola" and she ignores me and tells me to give her my wrist for a temperature check. My husband & I just looked at each other and shook our heads. I couldn't believe how rude she was. And I swear to you, my husband & I are the nicest people. So we wait. And we wait. I'm thinking the doctor is running behind helping another patient. So it's okay, right?! I mean, I understand they get busy. Well no, 30 minutes later and guess who walks in the front door with his bags. The doctor! Okay ummm no! There was also another American lady waiting to see him. He knows that most of his patients come from out of town to see him and he takes his sweet time. And in addition we have to deal with his snooty secretaries. I couldn't imagine at that point continuing ivf at this clinic. Having to deal with no call backs, attitudes, no communication, and a doctor who seems so smart but yet can't be puntual. My husband and I stood up, and he told the secretary to please cancel our appointment that we will no longer be going to this clinic. And she said "okay"! No questions asked. I'm still so sad because I was so excited to start my ivf cycle read more

After going through so many treatments and IUI's it was very stressful and nerve wrecking for me and my husband it took us about 2 years to realize this wasn't going to work for us we thought it would just knowing it was highly recommended because i guess it was in" Beverly Hills " but it wasn't we just wasted money. So one day i decided to do my research, i was on youtube and seen several videos of this fertility clinic in Tijuana B.c I was sorta doubtful about it, but said what the heck. I spoke to my husband about it and he was all for it after watching some of Dr Walter's videos on youtube. I called and scheduled our 1st appointment. Our 1st day there we were so amazed and weren't really expecting how Clean and Nice was the Hospital I believe its the BEST in Tj, made me feel comfortable, but when I walked in Fertilite Clinic I was so amazed of how SUPER nice the Staff was they were so helpful they made me and hubby feel just at home. Met Dr Walter he was Sooo thorough with all of our Medical history took his time to explain everything we were about to start " Our Whole Process". HONESTLY it felt like forever but with the support of Dr Walter and Staff we felt so positive that this was really actually gonna happen. It took us quite a bit because I had to do a couple of procedures before doing my Ivf, but let me tell you his prices are so reasonable and medication is way less expensive then out here in the US. Anyways to make a long story short we went thru our whole journey and was a sucess!! We Now have our Little Angel Miracle he is 2 1/2 months and my husband and I can't be more greatful and thankful for making our dream come true. I would literally kiss Dr Walters feet. Another thing that i Loved about Dr. Walter is that he is extremely clean at the hospital when i was going to do my retrieval of eggs the nurses would comment how Anal and clean Dr walter is. I Love Dr Walter he is the best I have referred one of my coworkers there who is now doing her treatments there now. I would do it again with him if i needed to with No doubt. My husband and I have been had looking for help 2 years ago (my husband has cystic fibrosis and I have endometriosis), we went to one doctor in Beverly Hills but there is so expensive so we decided to try one IVF, after we aware about that, my husband found others options, but that options was in Tijuana. We decided to travel there and we met 2 doctors one of them was hard with me and I decided to start with the other but that doctor was very old and stubborn never accepted questions and he decided when we should start with everything following his schedule. He sent us to see a Genetic doctor and this doctor works at Fertilité clinic, so we read about this clinic and we saw the good reviews and we decided to ask for one appointment with Doctor Walters. He was a gentleman with me, he answered our questions and explained clear about my possibilities and we tried, at first my IVF didn't function because my eggs was empty and I accepted to work with a donor - that was hard for me but it was also my best way. My husband had a testicular biopsy and they were able to retrieve sperm to inseminate the donor eggs. Well after I chose my donor we start to prepare my body to receive my embryos (I had an ERA test to determine the best time to do the implant and the doctor brought down my hormones) after that he implanted my embryos, last December 2nd. Our process of having a baby started in the United States. After treatments, our doctor suggested we do IVF and our chances for it being successful were far lower than an average couple. We were discouraged and started looking at the adoption process. We happened to go to Hospital Angeles for my father's chronic back issue, and this is how we discovered Fertilite, Dr. Walters, and his wonderful staff! He restored all hope in our dream of having children of our own. He and his staff were very detailed and never let us leave the office if we had any doubt or further questions. Dr. Walters is amazing!! I went to Mexico because I could not afford IVF in United States. That's when I met Dr. Walters in TJ Mexico. He is very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. He gave me hope and made my dreams of motherhood come true. We have 7 year old twins a boy and a girl. I even refers a friend and she has twin girls two years younger than my twins. I feel that I was mistreated with the entire process at this clinic and want to warn others of my experience. I consulted Dr. Walters for my second IVF cycle so that I could bank multiple embryos and asked specifically for a fresh (not FET) transfer. I had 16 large follicles two days before I was told to trigger but Dr. Walters was only able to retrieve 8. On top of that I was told that I couldn't do a fresh d5 transfer because of the trigger I was given and had only 2 embryos make it to d6 and d7 before being frozen. After a few months of waiting I was finally able to transfer them both, which resulted in heavy bleeding around 5.5 weeks and a blighted ovum diagnosis here in the US, by an emergency doctor. I emailed Dr. Walters with the ultrasounds and was instructed to take Misoprostol to induce the miscarriage but then was emailed back a few hours later that they needed me to come back to Tijuana to "review" this. I did not receive compassion from him about the miscarriage and especially did not appreciate dealing with Claudia on the phone who was absolutely horrible, on multiple different occasions. Unfortunately, they were not able to help me and did not produce results. He's booked out and sees a ton of patients every day, so they really don't give a crap about any one person or their success in particular. I will try Vida and pray they treat their patients better (I hear they do). read more

Dr Walters and the whole staff at Fertilite were absolutely amazing! We were so happy to do our IVF in Mexico and would do it again in a second. We saved so much time and money by choosing to do this outside of the US. The process was so easy and efficient. Facilities were very clean. Dr Walters is extremely knowledgeable and professional. The process is very similar to that in the US, however we found we took less medication and had fewer appointments than what seems to be the "normal" here. Again, every situation is different, but why make it more stressful with unnecessary appointments and medication. The drive back and forth was a breeze (recommend global entry). Again, I highly recommend to everyone that is considering doing IVF or fertility treatment to come to Dr. Walters at Fertilite. read more
