I loved the vibe of the shop. It's an old school barbershop with great tunes. Let me start off that I am an old man. I'm in my mid 60s and I felt right at home with Guero. He is a talented young man that gave me a very nice haircut that is growing out perfectly. I was pleased with the outcome of my haircut and will be following up with him in the future. nicely done. read more

I made an appointment with Adolfo for 3:15 for my sons haircut, I got there at 3:13 was told if I have an appointment I said yes so the Adolfo they pointed to him, Adolfo didn't notify or even try to let me know he was running behind , I waited for 20 min mind you I BOOKED FOR A 3:15 haircut not a 3:35 so I decided to walk out, I ended up going to the RANCH BARBERSHOP highly recommend to not go to FRENZ BUT GO TO THE RANCH BARBERSHOP read more

Made an appointment for my son and dude walked in with his friend and said he was before my son even though my appointment was approved

The go to barbershop. Just off the main stretch of downtown fern'z is tucked in its own little corner of the world. Outstanding barbers do great things here one head of hair at a time. Changing lives and helping people walk a little lighter and taller with their freshly cut fades or occasionally a little zig zag. Great service, down to earth good people, clean and reasonably priced. Always have friendly service and great haircuts. Call ahead to make an appointment and avoid the wait. read more

Second time coming in the shop and the first time was excellent. I got squeezed in on a busy day by Aber who not only has a glowing personality and is super chill and down to earth, but the man's got chops! This dude can really make it happen, no cappin. A cut above the rest. Shear talent. I was so satisfied with my transformation that I could hardly wait for my hair to grow back in to go get done up again and my boy done it AGAIN!! Aber!! Legendary! Ask for this dude. read more

Best barbershop in 3 cities, who ever says otherwise is a hater. Walk ins always welcome and you're guaranteed to leave the freshest you have ever been. Fernz barbershop has a super welcoming environment making you feel like you belong. I absolutely recommend coming here. ** riverside and moval locations. Try fernz once and you'll probably leave your long time barber. read more

Im new to the neighborhood so I walked my son over to get a cut from our neighbor Fern'z and I got sent away because I'm a walk-in. They said, "I can get you tomorrow, just call." Then change your status that reads walk-ins welcome. A good shop would've made sure a local kid looks good for his graduation picture, that's business 101 Fern'z, all business is good business. I wish Fern'z luck, but people feel some type of way when they get turned away and there's no going back. So I recommend go to another shop where walk-ins a welcome. By the way they turned me down at 3pm business closed at 6pm. read more

This place a joke of a barber shop bunch of weird Edgar dudes choppin it up with two dudes in their chairs.. I had called made an appointment for my son, I arrived early and the dude said he couldn't take my son because he had double booked, and not one other barber offered to take my little dude so we had to leave, thankfully we called another barbershop who got us in no problem! Anyways if you need cut don't come to these dudes they legit don't want to cut hair read more

The best just make sure you make your appointment on the web link they give you very easy

Since it was my first time ever in a Barbershop! I'll definitely be back. Great customer service & they greet you as you walk in. read more

Completely not hair related. But I am a victim of domestic abuse and was in the middle of a 911 call and there's a huge dip in the parking lot located right across the barber shop that I completely missed and ended up needed help getting my car literally out of the huge dip. Everyone from this barbershop willingly ran outside to help me, And that's truly genuinely care about people let alone I'm sure their clients, thank you so much you guys !!!!!!!! read more

Came it to Fern'z today as a walk in. They did a great job and 1/2 the price of electric shave down the street. I will be back

Unless you are a regular don't bother going. I walked in and nobody said anything to me. Two guys walked in after me and got seen first because they knew the barbers. I know they didn't have appointments either. Terrible service! read more

Need to open on time or change the business hours posted on the window. Posted hours show that it opens at 8 on Thursday, was there at 830 and nobody was around.. Really needed a haircut for my mum's birthday, will keep coming back as it's close to my house. Just not in a hurry, or when I need a haircut in a pinch. Edit: Didn't see a sign posted, but I'll take your word for it. Thanks for the reply. read more

I went to FERNZ because it was the closest barbershop to me at the time. I was in desperate need of a haircut and they were open. Service was a five star experience. Only down side was that the place was busy so I had to wait a while and it was a bit pricy for what I normally pay for a barbershop haircut. read more

I have never gotten a hair cut here, and, I probably will not. I drive by here all the time and wanted stop in but I can't figure out where to park my big truck. The reviews are all over the place. Not a good sign. One review was about someone trying to call and the mail box being full. It's still FULL! Today 7-6-2021. Reasons for not using your business: Parking, Reviews and phone. read more

My husband got a cut here on Monday and Fernando hooked him up! He hadn't had a cut in 3 years and was apprehensive about going too short (I wanted him to get a fade of sorts), but Fernando interpreted his request above and beyond what both of us were expecting. He also trimmed up his beard very nicely. My husband says he'll definitely return in a few weeks. It's also really clean, there are drinks available for purchase and everyone is friendly. I highly recommend Fernz. read more

Excellent barbershop! I took my teenage son to their barbershop and they did an AWESOME job.

I've been taking my 4 yr old to Fern'z a couple times now and he gets cut by Luis @luizgilcobos my son LOVES IT. The environment in the barbershop is amazing and everyone is super friendly. Fern & Luis are seriously the best barbers. Totally recommend for all ages. read more

Nobody helps you when you come in....just sit down like a dumbass expecting somebody to give you a haircut, there's no sign it sheet. Honestly I don't like putting posts but is the second time.. you can believe me or not but that's shitty service. read more

I always get a straight edge shave at Fern'z and they always do an awesome job. It's a nice, clean place with friendly barbers. The place is always packed with customers but they get to you really quickly. Phenomenal joint! read more

Tried again over a year later and mailbox is still full when calling to make an appointment.

I drive by this place all the time, thought id check it out. This place is nice, Barbers make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. Understand that places get busy and you may need to wait, but i was a walk in and and was seated less than 15 minutes after i walked in. Was cut by Alan (Alan the barber) . He did a great job on my fade. He took his time and was close to detail. Ive been going to another shop for the past 6 or 7 years but i think this will be my new spot for now on. A++ read more

I have taken my son to many barber shops and this one has been my go to and will be my only place I take him to. I use to have a hard time getting my son to get I. The chair but since we have been going since the day they opened my son looks forward to going twice a month for his hair cut. And all to say he is only 5y/o. If he's happy then that makes me happy. read more

Cat callers. I've witnessed them and even heard some of them calling women that walk by. I'm not sure if they work there but most of the time, they're pretty rude. They've cat called me and to make it worse, I'm only 17. I'm writing a review because if you're gonna be cat calling women, on the clock, you don't need to be working period. Disgusting. read more

This barbershop is really the best barbershop I have ever been to, being a mother of two boys, I have been to last minute barbershops and nothing compared to a Fernz cutt. The owner Fernando goes above and beyond to make sure you get what you want. The barbershop is child friendly and I am never worried about the language from the all male barbers and as a woman am never uncomfortable! Best cuts ever! read more

I've been here a few times with my sister to get haircuts for my nephews. I, myself, have also been given haircuts by three different gentlemen. I've never experienced any trouble and have been treated with nothing but respect for both my sister and I. Fernz attracts a lot of customers and reading another review about cat-calling, I find it hard to believe any of these barbers did the actual deed. They're either cutting hair, yelling "next" or greeting customers. 5 stars for the quality of the haircut, customer service, and overall experience. read more

I visited both locations and at first I was very disappointed because they do acknowledge you and as far as waiting FYI there is an appointment process be aware of that it is 25 dollars which is a life saver . I was not happy with the haircut but the customer service made up for little flaws it was probably just a simple misunderstanding .My second visit I was very impressed I visited the original Fernz on mission inn and Thomas helped me with a beard trim. I came to Fern'z for the first time today. I'm only in riverside for the weekend, I'm originally from San Jose, but I needed a haircut because I was looking kinda crusty haha. I went to my man Alan's chair, he was already grinding since a little before 8:00 am. I had a cool conversation with him, and he barred me up, actually better than my barber back in the bay. I'd Fosho come back if I'm ever in the area. read more
