Scary bad doctor. Do very lazy. ignores urgent messages. complains about her life. And then double, tripe bills.

I sure am going to miss Dr. Starr and her assistant, Michelle, when I move later this year. They will be tough to replace.

I desperately needed help removing one form of birth control and getting something else. I found…read morethis clinic via ZocDoc's website, requested my appointment the day beforehand, and was confirmed via phone and email. I was very distrusting, going into the appointment. But I was checked in early, called into the office on time, and didn't have to wait around forever for my nurse's triage and then my OB's care. She was a dream. Even though it was the first time we had ever met, and she had none of my medical history from other facilities, she agreed to remove my birth control on the spot and give me a new method. It was such a long and complicated road to get a doctor who would do this for me... I almost cried when she said it would be easy to help me. Such a friendly and easygoing manner, too. Thank you so much!!! I got home an hour later!

AVOID if you can. I'm giving only one star because I like my OB-GYN who practiced here. But now…read morethat she's changed offices, I have zero reason to come here again. There's a woman who works at the front desk/answers the phone who is perhaps the rudest person I've ever spoken to. Zero manners. Annoyed, mocking, borderline berating. I called to see if they could pull up a medical release form that I had signed two years ago and transfer my records over to another office, and she insisted that I had never sent them a form. Basically yelling at me over the phone. Front desk staff are a critical component of any healthcare, as they're the first person you see and can set the tone for the rest of the appointment. I would never want someone like her to be in charge of issues like appointments, who to talk to about bills, etc. Absolutely horrendous experience. Plus each time I've come, I've had to wait upwards of at least half an hour to an hour before being seen.

My doctor, Dr. Glenn Kehlmann, is an excellent PCP. While I'm personally in excellent health, Dr…read more Kehlmann makes me feel comfortable, takes time to listen, answer my questions, and is very willing to see me for an annual physical. The first time I saw him he ordered the usual tests for a new patient and based off my family history ordered lipid panels and even checked my vitamin D levels. He's thorough and professional, yet also willing to joke with you and give you frank advice. I've also found the staff at the Washington Square Group to be courteous and professional in all interactions I've ever had with them. Reading other reviews, I can understand scheduling may be frustrating at times. In my experience though as a 30-year old man, I've yet to find a medical practice where this is NOT the case. Also, perhaps this is because of my partner, who is a physician herself, BUT patients really need to realize that there are people out there in the world who are even sicker than they themselves are, and that doctors are NOT actually a dime a dozen. Physicians and the nursing staff that answer practice phones must triage patient visit requests and prioritize their limited time such that they can do the most good for the sickest patients. One rude phone exchange does not make for a bad practice or poor physician. Perhaps the problem is actually your expectation that your PCP's office should treat you like your nail salon?

Whole place sucks. If u need to go on methadone go to Cambridge or Waltham or don't go on methadone if u can find something else. Methadone is just getting high legally

Stay away from this place. The nurses treat you like 3 class scum (so nice to you during the first…read morefew months then they turn on you). They will do everything in their power to keep you hooked on methadone so that your money keeps rolling in. I truly would not even recommend this place to my worst enemy. When I tried to come off they kept "forgetting" to lower my dose. I finally got fed up and walked off at 15mg and it was the best decision for me. Their urine test and breathalyzers are constantly giving false positives. Methadone needs to be more accessible and not controlled by these people that consider themselves as being a part of the medical field. They will play with your mind and do everything in their power to keep you there.

The next morning I received a voicemail which I believe was in Russian and I was unable to understand. I called the doctors office to ask if they had left the voicemail, wondering if there had been a change to my appointment. I proceeded to be yelled at continually and told that I never had an appointment (though that's obviously why they had left me a voicemail). When I calmly said 'please stop yelling at me', I was shouted back with 'I AM NOT YELLING AT YOU, I AM TELLING YOU' and told to 'come tomorrow at 11am'. I said I wasn't available tomorrow morning and that it was an emergency work-related injury that had to be seen. I was told 'THERE IS NO EMERGENCY HERE'. I again asked 'please stop yelling at me' and she said the other secretary may have made a mistake and it wasn't her fault, it was mine! I said that I understood it was a mistake, but it was definitely not my fault and asked to speak to someone else. She said noone else would speak to me. At no point was any responsibility taken for a simple mistake, and at no point was I treated like a human, never mind a client. I have never in my life been spoken to the way I was on the phone yesterday and have found a new PCP. Although my one visit to see a doctor here went well and I was happy with the service, I have never dealt with ruder or more condescending office staff.

There were things that were covered by my insurance, but because he was obviously trying to get extra money out of me and billed incorrectly, these things ended up not being covered. If he billed correctly, my insurance would have covered it rather than the bill going to me instead. For example, he charged me for 2 visits rather than one because he ran over -- I did not ask for him to go so slow. And then he linked my annual blood work to that random office visit, it ended up where my insurance wouldn't cover it. I gave them a benefit of a doubt, so I called them and they were extremely rude! I even had a Steward rep call them with me, and his staff said I was wrong and hung up on both of us. It took me over 6 months to get this resolved! However, it shouldn't have required that much effort to fix something on their end. And their behavior was completely unacceptable. I would stay away from this place. He's obviously up to some shady work.
