A thorough explanation of the hotel and it's facilities was followed by a brief history lesson by the very polite and professional bellhop. I have been to quite a few hotels in my life but I have never experienced anything remotely close to this. The size of room was massive, the quality of the bed and furniture was amazing and the room even had a balcony. The bathroom was spaceious, fresh and well equipped and I really want that type of shower back home. I am rarely envious of hotel facilities but this was truely something different. When the staff retreived our car from the garage they had written a note to us thanking us for choosing their hotel and put it on the dashboard together with a small box of mints. I have never felt so genuinly welcome at any hotel before and I can not praise them enough. This is surely world class.

The miniloft came up on google first, and a looked around at other places, but I kept coming back to the miniloft and I'm glad I did. We rented a "classic" one for 3 weeks. It fit our needs perfectly. It was clean, comfortable, in a quiet bit of Mitte but near lots of things to do and ever so convenient to the S-Ban and the tram. There is great food in the area as well as being close to such great things. There are a variety of apartments of difference sizes and prices to meet your needs. The classic we had was stated to be abotu 420 sq ft (42 sq m) but seemed more open and spacious due to the high celling and large windows. The units in the "old" building are off the street more and quieter, but get less sun. But I was extremely happy with the whole feel to it and it was much better than many appartments I actually lived in as a student. The staff is excellent, helpful and friendly. The miniloft guide had great tips, although the restaurant portion needs updating. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the miniloft to friends and family and plan to stay there again on any return trips to Berlin.

Fantastic bed and breakfast in Neukolln. I highly recommend Huettenpalast for someone who enjoys…read moredesign, wants something different from your typical tourist hotel, and likes to meet locals. Huettenpalast is an unique "room" of caravans and cabins. It's a renovated old vacuum-production factory. It's the cutest thing you'll ever see. The owner, Silke, is so welcoming and did such a great job designing it and focusing on the little details. We wanted to stay in one of the caravans, but those were all booked up two months prior to our trip. So if you want a caravan, claim those fast! We ended up staying in the Berghutte (Mountain Cabin), which turned out to be awesome with the private space and window facing outside. What was cool was that most people staying at Huettenpalast while we were there were German families and couples on vacation. It's not like a hostel with a bunch of rowdy college kids. Breakfast was provided in the central area under the tree. There was water, coffee, tea, croissants, and fruit. Bathrooms were shared, but impeccably clean. Be sure to let Silke know if you're getting in past 7pm. The staff do not live on the premises, so if you don't have a key to get into the property, you're in trouble (unless you have an international phone, which we did not).

From a super cool…read moremotel in San Francisco,to a stupidly posh hotel in London complete with Lambo and Mclaren Merc parked outside and a porn inspired room in a hotel in Amsterdam (Yep,porn),and more. But none of them compare to Casa Camper, that isn't to do any of the others down, they were all good in their own right, but for sheer enjoyment Camper wins hands down. The staff were all awesome. The room was awesome. The shower was awesome. The bed was awesome. The honour bar is an awesome idea. The breakfast was awesome. The location is awesome (Near to The Absinthe Depot and round the corner from one of the nicest kebabs (or kebap) that i've ever had). All our fellow guests that we spoke to were awesome. Ange Z is awesome for finding and booking here. Also I'm awesome, just because.... Fair enough,it's not the chespest of places at which to stay, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for,and possibly more at Casa Camper. The next time i'm going to visit this great City then Casa Camper will certainly be my go to Hotel,it really is that good!!

It was hard to go home again after staying a few days in this friendly, comfortable, modern, quirky, and completely supportive boutique hotel. It manages to be ultra-modern without being pretentious or cold, a nice trick. The rooms are perfectly sized - not overwhelming but not cramped, stocked with robes and slippers and wonderful toiletries, and the rain shower is awesome. Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, also a free business center with 2 computers and a printer, and the breakfast area is well supplied with free newspapers, fruit, snacks, bread, a coffee machine, and non-alcoholic drinks available 7x24. The actual breakfasts (7-11 AM) are cooked to order, and the dining room, lounge, and "Bodega" (a self-service honor bar) have a wonderful view over the city from the 7th floor. It was so pleasant sitting in the comfortable lounge in the evening, catching up on email or reading with a glass of wine from the Bodega. The staff are diverse, young, and exceptionally helpful and congenial. The hotel is located just a few steps around the corner from the Weinmeisterstrasse U8 station. However, for most of the things you might want to see in Berlin Mitte, the U-bahn is not even necessary. There are many good restaurants within a few blocks, and it's just a short walk to the museum island or Unter den Linden, among other attractions. Now that I've been completely spoiled at the Casa Camper I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Berlin.

After 10 pm, you need to enter a different way as it is both a hotel and short term residence so it doesn't have 24 hour reception as you would expect at a hotel. The bathroom had a large walk in shower and amenities. It also had a heated towel rack. There was a hairdryer and scale in the closet. The housekeeping was fine. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was included in our room rate. They had cold cuts and cheeses, an assortment of breads, yogurt and scrambled eggs, beans and bacon or vegetables. The person manning the dining room was very friendly and efficient.
