My gal frens and I ate like QUEENS at Feria Masticar. The best tip for this type of food festival is to go in groups... that way, you can split every dish so you get the full experience and you don't get too full! We started with macchiatos from Café Puerto Blest and it was honestly the best coffee I've ever had in my life. Then, we had the potato waffles from Los Peterson and they blew us away! Such an amazing combo of ingredients. Mishguene's pastrón was juicy and fatty (in the best way possible), and La Mar's ceviche was SO salty and fresh and SUPER spicy. Peugeot Lounge's creme brulée was very unique- the custard was berry flavored and it was topped with a crunchy, thin layer of sugar and a dense chocolatey mousse. Incredible. Last but not least we had a rich chocolate flan with passionfruit mousse (unbelievable concoction of p-fruit and cream) topped with crunchy blueberry crumble, a crystallized orange slice and flower petals. Was it over the top? Yes. Did it tickle my tastebuds? Totally. Feria Masticar was 100% over the top but 100% worth it. As everyone says, go the first day, because it's uncomfortably crowded over the weekend. Be ready to spend a lot, because you will want to try everything; the chefs behind this are all brilliant (I wish I could hug each and every one of them). read more
