Fenton in Cary, NC is absolutely beautiful and has become one of my favorite spots to walk around, grab a bite to eat, or just enjoy the atmosphere. The variety of restaurants, shops, and events really makes it feel like its own little community...you can easily spend hours here without realizing it. The layout is walkable, modern, and clean, and there's always something happening, whether it's live music, families gathering, or people just out enjoying the space. The only thing I'd love to see is a more consistent police presence, not in a way that feels overbearing, but more low-key and observant. There are times when people drive through the area revving their motorcycles or blasting music so loud that it ruins the calm, relaxed vibe. It's such a great place for families, couples, and visitors, and keeping it peaceful and safe would make it even better. Fenton really has all the makings of a perfect hangout spot in Cary. A little more attention to keeping the noise level under control would make it a 10 out of 10 experience every single time. read more

Fenton has brought a very modern elevated shopping and entertainment destination to the Triangle. There is really nothing like it. Fenton offers fine dining, high end retail and entertainment. I've visited previously for retail shopping, dining, cocktails, and events. I've enjoyed dining at Superica Tex Mex, Dram & Drought cocktail bar, Sports & Social, Ava Rooftop, PBR Cowboy Bar, Paragon Movie Theater, The Agency Bar, and shopping at Arula, Altrd State, and the Nike by Cary Store. Today I attended the Walk To Defeat Dementia event. Fenton was the perfect location. It was very well organized and everyone had more than enough room to spread out. I'd driven by this mall a few times, but yesterday was the first time I actually came here and walked around. There are plenty of parking lots and garages in the mall, and we decided to park in the Green Level Garage because we were seeing a movie at Paragon Theaters. The parking garage wasn't too busy, although we came kind of early so I imagine it gets a little crazier later at night. After parking, we decided to hit up some of the shops at the mall. As always, for me, most of the shops are pretty irrelevant, but I enjoyed accompanying my wife to Sephora :) There are quite a few restaurant options - we opted for Superica, but everything looked pretty tasty. There were also a bunch of different lawn areas for kids to play, adults to lounge, etc. Overall, I really enjoyed walking around Fenton and would definitely come back here to grab some dinner and check out a movie. read more

This place is absolutely spectacular and was probably the highlight of my visit in the Raleigh area. Great area where people gather, meet up and where people live as well! Plenty of great upscale stores and places to grab a nice drink at as well. It's a mini downtown if I might add! Very welcoming atmosphere, outstanding infrastructure and places to explore. I frequent Fenton quite a bit because I really like the movie theater here. I am so happy it hasn't changed to an EVO Theater and I hope it never does. Fenton has some great stores for shopping and a nice area outside where they have makers markets and pop-ups which is awesome. I never have trouble finding parking either, which is great. I can't wait to see how it continues to develop in the future. Fingers crossed for a bookstore in the near future. read more

Now before I dive into the details on Fenton, I have to say that I'm usually not a huge fan of malls or shopping districts in general. And my thoughts around Fenton are really varied but given I've been here at least 10 to 12 times since it's opened, they are for real! First impressions are that Fenton is going to be North Hills, plus. The retail options like Sephora, Lulemon, Williams-Sonoma, are quite high end and trendy. Then you add in restaurants like M Sushi, Colletta, Superica, and they match that expectation. Given it is Cary, it's not a surprise. But then over at one end of Fenton you've got Sports & Social along with PBR Cowboy Bar. And I'm thinking that those two businesses attract a very different crowd. A bit more trashy and basic, it really sticks out compared to the rest of the development. So when I do visit, I just get a different feel depending on what night it is and exactly where I am. Part of me wants to think it's going to be a luxe experience but other times, it doesn't feel that way. The decorations and events they have done here have been excellent so I think I know what they want to be, but the feel and experience is inconsistent. Only visited once so far and I'm just kinda eh on the space at the moment. The area is well designed and I love the events they host. I stopped in at sports and social when I visited for some lunch, then wandered around to do some shopping. I have to say, for a place that hosts a lot of social events I couldn't locate any public restrooms. Not sure if I couldn't find them or I'd they aren't there but you have to find a store that allows you to use the restroom. Overall, a nice shopping area. Would like to see how this grows and what the space holds in the future. read more

We visited here to go eat at one of the restaurants. I was blown away by the community of Fenton! The four of us in my group kept saying "this is so cool". The free parking is wonderful and there are so many fun things to do. They have swings for adults, open areas for activities, a giant chess set to play, and beautiful architecture and designs. The shops are great, the restaurants are unique, and I felt very safe. If I lived in the area, I would come here frequently just to get away. There are really cool photo ops, too! read more

SKATE THE SQUARE RATING: Fenton as a whole is beautiful, and I will certainly be returning; however, the ice rink is horrible. It is very small and the ice is not even slick. The tickets are extremely overpriced and you have to buy them online because chances are they will be sold out if you try to purchase them in person because they are always so busy. The ice was so choppy and honestly dangerous with all of the divots. It was very difficult to even get going while skating because the ice was so loose. They should be maintaining the ice by having time blocks where people cannot skate so that they can make it safe (and enjoyable) for everyone. read more

This is a nice upscale shopping area in Cary that has something for everyone. There are good restaurants to choose from, a variety of shops, coffee, gelato, bars, open space, and a movie theater. It's a fun and relaxing place to hang out. read more

I am so mixed on Fenton. I like the area and they have fun events but I think that it is overrated. All of the restaurants that I have tried are overpriced and were just okay. I do like the shopping options, movie theater, gelato spot and cocktails from Dram & Draught (I have yet to try the rooftop bar AVA). I was very surprised that this area opened a cowboy bar, I feel like that draws another type of crowd. Sports and Social does have a greenway that connects to WakeMed Soccer Park so that is neat. I'm curious to see what other spots open here. read more

I recently visited Fenton to attend an event the Yelp was throwing at Dram and Draught. I didn't really know what to expect, however when I pulled into the complex, I was very impressed. Part social district, part business district, part shopping district. Luxury apartments as well. It's like when they. Hilt this place, they didn't want you to leave; like EVER! But I suppose people have to have groceries, right? All of these things I mentioned, plus I-40 is right down the street as well. Well placed by the developer. Fenton has a lot of potential! I can see it grow with new shops and things to do. At the moment, it's a cool spot to hang out but still feels like it's missing something grand. Considering the office rents at Fenton rival that of North Hills, the quality of the space itself is SORELY LACKING. Common area restrooms, elevators, and corridors are far more suited to a Class C office building than they are to a brand new, "high end" development like Fenton. Elevators are slow as molasses (if they're working at all). Restrooms have cheap, basic metal stalls, only one towel dispenser on the far right side of the sinks (so counters are constantly soaking wet from dripping hands washed on the opposite end), toilets never completely flush. A moderate rain turns the 2nd floor lobby into a shallow wading pool thanks to poorly engineered drainage from the elevated walkway that connects the green parking deck to 1 Fenton Main. We've dealt with constant, recurring maintenance issues in our office space since we got here over a year ago. I could go on and on. As for the retail "amenities"... You're in luck if you find yourself in need of top-dollar athletic wear or home decor on a regular basis (three options for either!), or if you've got an hour and a half to spare and are don't mind dropping $40-$50 every day of the week on a fancy but often disappointing lunch (food at Superica and Sports & Social is dismal and way overpriced). Otherwise, you'll need to get in the car and drive somewhere else. The fact that Fenton's leasing team has failed to secure a single decent fast casual dining tenant is absolutely baffling. Put simply, the low-quality finishes and severe lack of legitimate amenities make it impossible for me to recommend Fenton to anyone in the market for office space. At least at North Hills, you get what you pay for. Hopefully things at Fenton will catch up after a decade or so. read more

Hip new area, pretty decent place with lots of new buildings and construction still going on. Nice modern town square area and I guess the culture will fill in once the people start filling in. I went to Fenton in Cary for the grand opening of the new movie theater Paragon Theater. The vibes definitely were immaculate! The amount of activities for us to do were amazing. Seems out of place...reminds me of Miami shopping centers. Very nice buildings albeit confusing to drive around. Needed Truss urgent care for my cat a few weeks ago and they were amazing. This week I had a return at Sephora so I walked about the shopping center and really saw nothing that peaked my interest. I can see a lot of people enjoying some of the high end stores.
