I came to this store because I was looking for a pair of shoes that were only available for that season and once they were gone, that was it. The Bal Harbour store was one of the only stores in the country that had them in stock so I made the trip down there. This had to be the most unprofessional experience I've had in a designer store. First of all, when I'm shopping, especially in an upscale store, I like to be left alone while I'm trying things on or looking. When I got to the store to try the shoes on that they were holding for me, the woman that worked there hovered over me the entire time that I was trying them on and stalked me through the store while I was walking around in them making a decision if they were comfortable or not.
While I was there, I decided to try a shirt on that I liked, to where I was lead into a dressing room that looked like a tornado hit it. There were clothes everywhere and a dirty champagne glass from the last person. It looked like they brought everything in the store in there to try on and then just tossed it all up in the air when they were done. Fine, people are animals. But why can't a store, especially Fendi of all stores, clean up after them? I was offered a drink while I was shopping and I declined. The fact that they didn't even keep the dressing room clean was a turn off. Their glasses probably weren't clean. As I was in the middle of trying the shirt on, the woman swung the door open without even knocking first to ask me how it fit. Are you kidding me? This is the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen in a high fashion store.
We go back out to pack up the shoes that I was buying and I was asked if I wanted the box. Um, really? I'm spending this kind of money and you don't think I want the box? What kind of question is that? I, like most people with a designer shoe collection, collect the shoes along with the boxes.
Then we go to the register and I hand her my debit card. She swiped it without even telling me the total price first. I don't care if I was spending $1. It's unprofessional to swipe somebody's card anywhere and not tell them the total first.
Not to mention she didn't ask if I had a parking ticket for them to validate, so I walked out forgetting to ask because I just wanted to get out of that store. I went to a few other stores and on the way back to my car, I realize my parking ticket wasn't stamped so I walked back to Fendi for them to validate it which was totally on the other side of where I was because that was the only store that I bought anything at. So ridiculous and unprofessional. Never again. Now that I know my size in Fendi I'm just going to order online from now on. read more
