Here is a recap of the process/our experience: 1. Greg came out to give an estimate. He was upfront and transparent (we have red oak floors) about staining the floors and how red oak takes the stain. Set our expectations for the process. 2. Scheduled a date with Greg. He stuck to the date and the timeline exactly as stated. 3. Greg came out before the project to test out some stains for me. He was patient and flexible during this process. Very helpful and knowledgeable. 4. The team started by covering doorways and shutters and getting the space ready to ensure the least amount of mess/dust as possible. 5. Greg communicated the time the team would be there and they were there at that time each morning. 6. He kept us updated throughout the process. 7. The floors were finished on time and they did a walk through at the end. My husband is quite the perfectionist (one who would rather do it himself and have it be done right than hire out the work for fear it wouldn't be done the right way) and he was thoroughly impressed with the work done. We had a bath tub refinished by Miracle method. They cleaned the tub, but did not remove the…read moreplumbers putty around the drain. When the job was complete, I was able to wipe off the new coating as easily as removing playdoh. They removed the overflow drain cover during the prep / etching process. Then put it back on and masked it off during the glazing process, so the area behind the overflow was not glazed. When I went to put my new overflow cover on, I found they just glued the old one one. When I removed it, it took the brand new glazing finish off with it. The bolt was broken that holds this cover on, they just glued the bolt head on to mask the problem. This bolt also holds the drain pipe to the tub, without it, water will leak behind the tub, cause mold and possible flooding to the downstairs neighbor. Update, about a week later. I extracted the broken bolt from the drain pipe using a little PB Blaster, heat and working back and forth. MM sent a more experienced tech to re-do the previous job. Looks fine now. Considering the mistakes that were made, and the cover up to hide the broken bolt, I'm not changing my review rating. The first tech clearly had no common sense, not what I would expect from a $1k paint job.
