I gave them a middle star because the service wasn't where it should have been. My salesman caused my project to be delayed 3 months because I wouldn't return calls for weeks and after calling the main office. 1. The company never scheduled the final inspection, and I had to call them about it. 2. The company never sent a lien release after being paid 3 weeks ago, I had to call them 3. When installing my fence, the company never installed the reinforcements that was on my agreement until I called them. 4. The company had no quality assurance team or manager to check behind or even call after installation was completed to ensure everything was right 5. The company had no issues calling, emailing, and texting about the final payment. 6. Since installation I have received several emails offing me $25 for referrals. So I'm giving them a mid star for price only and installation crew did a great job. Everything else wasn't up to standards read more

My wood fence was destroyed by Milton and I decided to switch to PVC. After 5 quotes from different companies my friend recommended FenceOutlet. Runaway fast and don't use this company! We had 6ft chain link with top and bottom rails installed around our back yard. The salesman assured us it would be nice and sturdy and installed properly. The installers came and put up the fence and said through google translate (They didn't speak any English) to let the concrete set for 3-4 days. I waited 4 days, and I went outside to check the fence. I could shake the entire side of the fence with barely any pressure. It looked like waves going all the way down 50ft & the uprights were even wobbling after I stopped. This was like this around the entire perimeter of our property. Nearly 200 ft of fence. I also watched these two installers struggle with putting our double gate up for over 4 hours total. At one point, they had it on the ground and were bending it to try to make it work. Due to the fence being unstable and uprights being crooked, I called and complained. They sent the same people to our house who were visibly irritated they were back. After trying to communicate through google translate again, they started to work on the fence. I watched them pull the posts to a level position and then support them with the chain link to stay in that position instead of fixing the problem the right way. I'm pretty sure the posts are supposed to support the fence, not the other way around. I called fence outlet again as the fence we still very unstable. They sent their fix it guy. He was very pleasant. He shook the fence himself and told me it wasn't right. He started digging around the uprights to see what was happening. He discovered the installers never put water on the concrete. It was just powder around the posts covered in sand. He came back for a couple of days and put more concrete around the posts and added more water. In my mind at this point, everything should have been redone as we paid nearly $6,000 for this job. Too make a long story short, after his fix our fence is still unstable. I can shake a whole 50ft section of fence with little to no effort. It's still like this around the entire perimeter of our fence. Fence Outlet then sent who they called their main quality assurance guy. He came and said nothing was wrong. I was out of town when he came, but it sounds like he explained to my wife that the fence is "top heavy" because it's 6ft. They extended our warranty which is no help because it doesn't cover storms or wind. It's very clear that their main quality guy has fence outlet in mind, not their customers. I don't think this fence will ever survive a cat 1. I could go out in my yard right now and pull it down by hand. I can shake an upright with little to no effort and watch the ground move below it. What a scam and disappointment. I attached some videos I took today to show how unstable the fence is. I paid them in full. I'm hoping to get this resolved, but I'm not holding my breath. read more

We hired Fence outlet to replace our fence. During construction they broke the main water line coming into the house. They called and left a message informing us of the break and proceeded to let the fence installers repair the water line. None of them are licensed plumbers and have no business repairing water lines supplying the house. They should have hired a licensed plumber to make the repair. 2 months later the "repair" they did broke under ground causing thousands of gallons of water to free flow under ground. We contacted the manager of the store and he informed us they are not liable for damage done to underground pipes. Not sure why they made the repair themselves? Also the latch for the gate installed with self tapping screws has fallen off. There is not enough plastic in the post to hold self tapping screws... We don't recommend this company. They are the least expensive for a reason. read more

We had several fence companies give us a proposal for our fence. Fence outlet pricing was 25% less than nearest competitor. That was a concern, but we cautiously went with them anyway. The installation crew showed up as scheduled. They were courteous and professional. They installed it exactly as we had planned it. Each post set in concrete. The panels were perfectly level. Very solid. All three of the gates were mounted solidly with reenforcement. When they finished, the install crew cleaned up entire install. All excess grass and sod were picked up. The post holes were covered over. No excess concrete. When they walked off the property, there was absolutely no sign they had ever been here. It was a perfect install. Gentleman scheduled appointment to meet us at the property, due to rain it was rescheduled. Not a problem. My husband gave him specific details on the layout, explaining what we were looking for. After several days my husband phoned and asked about the quote. We were told that they would get right on it. Another several days and we call again, an email was then generated with the quote however, not for what we asked. Doubled the measurements and was completely wrong from what we had discussed. UPDATE-after sicking their lawyers on me for a supposed missed payment YEARS after the fence was installed, despite making payment to their lawyers for the remaining balance back in February, now they are reporting me to collection agencies, DESPITE the fact that I have a letter from their lawyers saying I had paid off the balance back in February. This company is beyond inept. ORIGINAL REVIEW-We've had a lot of various upgrades done to our house over the years, and Fence Outlet has be the single worst experience of any of them. Quick fence installation, but be sure to get all quotes itemized and double check everything. I got a total of 4 estimates from Fence Outlet Online from the same estimator. Every time I did, the pricing was wildly different. This was true for my neighbor as well. I finally opted to do just gates to connect to my neighbors and the price was almost as much as doing 100 feet of fence. I asked for itemized breakdown after I signed the contract and noticed the company charges a $450 trip fee for "making an trip for small jobs under 100 feet of fence". My gate was installed at same time as neighbor's fence that I was connecting to. We went round and round on "trying to waive the fee" and in the end they did not. The trip fee was 50% of the total cost of getting the single gate installed. They also have been non-responsive on addressing issues with the height of my fence installed above the ground. I have a dog that digs and they left the fence 6" high where my gate is, even though I asked specifically to make sure fence is installed flush to ground. A black mark on an otherwise good experience, which sours my opinion on the company. I'm not sure I would recommend them or use them again. Be sure you double check everything and get your costs itemized before you sign anything. That is my advice to anyone who thinks about using this company. read more

Once they came to install, almost a month later, they delivered the wrong color fence and to go back several times to reinstall damaged panels. Once done correctly, the fence looked great read more

Awesome guys, did a fantastic job! We had 180 feet of old wooden fence removed and replaced with new white vinyl, these guys knocked it out in a day, and it has survived two hurricanes without sagging, bowing or leaning. Price was about the same as the other guys, but this product has a steel insert in the bottom rail to keep the whole panel straight and true. Better quality, great service and pros who cleaned up after themselves, even hauled off all that old fencing material and cleaned up the yard. Completely satisfied and would absolutely call them again! read more

HORRIBLE DO NOT USE. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE AREA. YOU WILL NOT GET A NORMAL FENCE!!!!! Not private. Not secure. Non-existent quality. No point to pay these people. Your better off paying your neighbor's kid to put up the fence - I guarantee your neighbor's kid will do a better job than these people. + mind you, I spent over $8,000 cash for a job on less than a quarter of an acre for less than half the property for cheap PVC fencing. The install guys did not even try to level the yard either. Literally only stuck the posts into the ground and somehow screwed that up. Problems: 1) Door/ hinges/ lock are on the outside of the gate so everyone can let themselves into my yard 2) major gaps at the gate to where you can sit from a car and look straight through the fence gaps and see the neighbor's house 3) the fence was not even pushed to the ground so there are major gaps all along the bottom (after specifically saying I have dogs who I do not want getting out. right now a toddler can crawl under it) 4) the fence was not even placed on my property line on both sides! 5) the posts are crooked 6) the fence is not even to the front of my house 7) the installation guys did not speak a word of English so I could not communicate with them as they were putting the fence up (I also told the rep to come down to my house because I knew these guys were not doing it right. he didn't come until the next day and when I showed him all problems, he looked at me as if I had 10 heads) 8) the installation guys left my yard a mess!!! (even the cesspool people did a better job putting my yard back together after they tore it up) 9) "Customer Service" does not exist. 10) will not even acknowledge that their guys did a cr**py job! Everyone can help themselves into my backyard and see into it as if there was no fence. The difference between now and two weeks ago, is that I'm down 8 grand and my backyard is no different! Jarrett called me to talk about a quote! A QUOTE! They wanted more money after not even being able to do it right the first time! In a very condensing manner said that I got what I paid for. He tried to argue with me on what a normal fence is. He then tried to tell me that the major gap between my neighbor's yard and mine doesn't exist and there's nothing they can do about it. And! They wanted $750 for 7 feet of fencing!!!!! A normal fence - private, secure, no one can get in, nothing in the backyard can get out, straight posts, no gaps, placed on the property line, fence goes to the front of the house. I got nothing near a normal fence. These pieces of PVC sticking up from my yard are completely useless. I didn't pay for useless PVC!! At this point. Give me a full refund and take this pathetic excuse for a fence off my lawn. Clearly, this company has no idea how to install a fence, what a normal fence is, or how to properly run a business, does not care about quality, and has no sense of the point of having customer service. I got an estimate for installing a gate on an existing fence 7 WEEKS AGO. I was told when I got the estimate and PAID HALF the cost that it would be done in about 2 weeks. I've called many times without ever getting a person on the phone. After leaving many messages, I got one call back to tell me they haven't received the gate yet after 6 weeks. This is ridiculous business practice and horrible customer service. I will be canceling my order and getting a return of my payment from the credit card company. read more

Their phone systems give you the runaround it's really hard to get a hold of anybody, priced out a couple fences and this one seemed like the best deal was assured that it would be installed within two weeks we're going on two months and I am yet to get an installation date they have taken half of the money out for the job I asked about getting a refund and just doing it myself because it would've been a lot faster and they said we are not able to do that I guess they had to outsource the wood materials let's see what The fence looks like if they ever get to the install......So far it's been negative stars hopefully it looks good and is worth the excessive wait. read more

Quoted back in September for a fence at the Little League Field and signed a purchase order with estimated time around 5-6 weeks. Called in late October and was told permit wasn't ordered and would need to resend survey. Called again after Thanksgiving and was told the ball was dropped again and to resubmit survey. Called again the third week of December and was told the purchase order was lost. At that point we backed out of the agreement and moved on. I called to request a quote. They said they could come out on a Saturday, but it would be more than a month out. I agreed to wait. They called two days before they were scheduled to come out to say they had to cancel the appointment and could not reschedule me again for another month. I would have done better to call someone else in the first place. Receiving shabby treatment up front is not an indication that things will go better, so I cancelled the entire estimate with Fence Outlet. They were not willing to honor their commitment or do something reasonable as an alternative. I don't imagine things getting better when it starts that way. read more

Many companies charged for estimates, Fence Outlet does not. In this economy every penny counts, why pay for an estimate then not be happy with the company or their product. This was a deterrent to using those companies and choosing Fence Outlet. 15 minutes before our appointment time Michael called to let us know he was on his way. He showed up right on time, listened to our needs and wants and gave us a thorough estimate of the cost and materials. We were impressed with their courteous office staff, their prompt response and the attention to detail that Michael gave during his estimate. There is both good and bad with Fence outlet. The installation crew was awesome and went out of their way to make sure everything was the way I wanted it. The fence is beautiful and I couldn't be happier with the end product. But, dealing with the office staff is where my issues began. They came out and did a site survey to make sure the installation wouldn't have any problems. The guy doing the survey did take measurements but just eyeballed a lot of stuff and said everything looked good and ready to go. So, imagine my surprise when I get a call once the install crew has arrived and they say my shed is too close to the property line and it either needs to be moved or they can't build the fence in that area. I spent the next 2 hours on a super hot day taking down the shed and making room for them to complete the fence. Afterwards, every time I called the office to find out when they were going to put the permit on the fence so it could be inspected, I either got the run around or no one called me back with an answer. Three weeks later I finally got a call back from Todd and his comment was "we are waiting for you to move your shed so we can complete the fence." Apparently there's not good communication between the office and their crews. Told him it was moved the day of the install and the fence has been complete for 3 weeks he told me he'd have them come right out and inspect. I can't say enough good things about the install crew and enough bad things about the front office and how they do business. Not sure I'd use them again. read more

I had an estimate scheduled for today at 10am. I left work to make sure I was there when Mike arrived. 20min past my appointment time I called the office only to be placed on hold 3 times. The woman tells me are you sure it was for today the 17th. No lady it was today the 16th. Then Mike gets on the phone a precedes to tell me more than once that he "can't tell me how many times people get confused about the company they schedule with." Like I'm an idiot. I assure you I have a pretty sharp mind. I only called 2 companies and the first one came last week. I even repeated their policy on a fence under 50' to him that the woman who scheduled me told me. He then tells me "oh well I can do an estimate over the phone if you know how many feet." So I begin to tell him and he stops me and says we can't do that (i have product i wanted installed). So I asked how much if I used their product and he replies with "well um uh i'll have to call you back then." I declined and ended the call.
