Fence King installed my Iron locked fence 2 years ago. Today my neighbor next door had Fence King replace their wooden fence. I came home at noon to find my front locked gate opened, and workers were in my yard without my permission. There was wood and electric wire on my property. I was shocked and annoyed and expressed my feelings to the workers. I told them I never gave anyone permission to unlock my gate and enter my property and work on my property. The workers said that he got the key from his office. I will never do business with Fence King again since they do not respect people's privacy and property. I only wish you could give negative stars because this company definitely deserves a few in my opinion. They have a nice flashy web page and pretty trucks but customer service is apparently not part of the companies mission. I can not comment on the quality of the work they do because the job was never completed as the frustration with the process it took to get to job completion took far more work than i would have thought necessary on my end so i requested my deposit back. I was initially told that they would be out on a Thursday but they were a no show. I called them late that afternoon and was told they were delayed due to rain on another job, which is understandable, but i asked why i was not called and they said they sent me a text, then i informed them that i told the contractor i don't have text, i have a land line, so they took note of that. Later that evening i was called and told they would be out Friday afternoon, but if they don't make it, they will be out Saturday. Well, again, both days were no shows and no calls. I called them on Monday morning and was told they would be out possibly Monday afternoon but more then likely on Tuesday. Well, no show on Monday so i called them the first thing on Tuesday morning to make sure they were actually coming and the secretary told me i was on the list but she would have to text the crew to see if they were going to get to me and that she would call me back. Well, she never called back so at 1 pm on Thursday i called and asked for a refund on my deposit. Simply put... If you have a life or a job, and can't sit at home for multiple days in hopes they might actually show up and or don't have the time to continually call them, getting an AI receptionist most of the time, to get updates on if or when they will show up to do the job, i would definitely go with one of the many other companies. read more

Santi and his crew arrived on time for the installation, and were very professional. They double-checked the corner placement and perimeter, gate location and swing, ensured the lines were straight, and got to work. When they were finished, Santi and I noticed that one gate wasn't exactly level. He offered several options for resolving the problem, took care of it, and it looks great. The quality of the workmanship in the installation was excellent. The materials are high-quality and look great. It was more expensive than a wood fence, but not when replacement costs for rotting wood are taken into account. I've been needing a new fence for a while, but they can be so expensive. I called several companies and received estimates, but Dan from Fence King was the lowest. Since his price was so reasonable, I was a little concerned about how good his work would be. The fence turned out wonderfully. From estimate to construction, Dan stayed in contact with me to let me know when he would come by and when my fence should be done. He set the poles one day toward the end of a week and the next week the fence was done. For the price I expected a standard fence. What I got was curved fancy gates and the wooden poles were shaped at the top to give a more fancy look. I am so impressed with the quality of this thing. I regret signing a contract with Fence King. At the time I thought I was doing what needed to be done to keep the dogs and my kids out of harm's way. So, I signed my contract and put down my deposit. And at that point, there's no going back since there's no refund. After everything is said and done, I have spent thousands on puppy picket fencing that won't even keep a puppy in the yard. I was never told during this process that the fence wouldn't be rackable so that the slope of the ground would be an issue. So, I have rocks shoved under my fence (how attractive). Even after all this, only one thing upsets me. This company will do everything to make sure that they are right during a disagreement with their customer, without regard to customer satisfaction. It's even evident in other reviews here - the owner focuses more on what customers write than actually trying to fix what's wrong. Fence King will never ask you if you are satisfied with their work or customer service, and I can only imagine that it's because they just don't care. I should have hired someone else. read more

Overall the craftsmanship of the fence was excellent. I had a few minor issues that prevent me from giving them a 5 start review. One issue is the dirt that was left just piled around my yard and my neighbors yards with no attempt to minimize the size of the mounds. A minor issue because rain will eventually make the mounds erode into the ground, but it is still an eyesore for now and luckily my neighbors have not said too much about it. The second minor issue is only minor because it was partially my fault. Apart from the initial estimate, I had no input on where I was to put the gate in my fence. I had to have a second gate placed because they placed the fence close to the driveway because that's what they always do and it is what the person who came and did my estimate said that I should do. I had told him I would rather the gate be placed on the other side and I thought that I would have an opportunity to confirm this, but alas I did not. I had to leave for a doctor's appointment and when I came home the had placed the fence on the side close to the driveway. When you looked at it, there would be no way to get my lawn mower past my outside AC unit, so I had to have a second gate. Overall, I recommend them as the work and the staff are excellent, just make sure you are vocal from the beginning. read more

Fence King NEVER offered to replace the fence hardware that was rusted. I reported the rust within the 1-year warranty and the rust was not due to Hurricane Ida so I expected that Fence King would honor their warranty. The amount of gate use will not cause rust on the bolts that attach the hardware to the fence. If that were true, there would be less rust on the gate on the right side of the house because it's only opened/closed twice monthly by the gardener. The gate on the left side of the house has more use because its closest to the garage and gives easy access to the trash can and water hose. My contact with Fence King to resolve the rusted fence hardware was ONLY via email or text. They never offered to replace the hardware but stated in a review that they did. I would have accepted their offer to change the hardware IF IT HAD BEEN OFFERED. Initially I would have stated that Fence King lied when they said I refused the hardware replacement. However, because of their increased business due to Hurricane Ida, they may have confused me with another client or they planned to change the hardware and forgot to let me know. I would love Fence King to provide me with emails or texts which show they offered to replace the hardware. To prove their credibility, Fence King can either drop off replacement fence hardware or come and replace the fence hardware that they say they offered me. Doing so will resolve this matter. read more

The employees where very rude. I am in a wheelchair and I instructed to put fence on property line. When completed it looked good to me from my perspective. Later on when I was well enough to get to the back line I realized they had put the fence 12 ft off the property line. I called to find it would of course cost more money to put new fence up.
