It was snowing and ice cold the day we visited Fells Point. We expected a lot of places to be closed to prepare for the snow and to avoid the cold, but PTL, everything was opened. I bet this place is really lovely when Spring/Summer hits the place. Very nice spot to kick back and enjoy life with a few friends. Pubs and bars everywhere. I wouldn't mind driving up here just to enjoy a day with friends and bum around for the local goodies. read more

Fells Point is a historic area of Baltimore and it lives up to that. They had an open flea market when I was there so I enjoyed that. I recommend taking the water taxi in from Inner Harbor if you don't want to drive to Fells Point. The water taxi was really fun to ride. read more

Why, oh why, did we come here with kids? This part of Baltimore is so charming! Cobblestone streets (hard to cross in shoes other than sneakers), cute rowhouses, restaurants and bars. We arrived by water taxi and immediately hit the ice cream store (which is a Maggie Moo's). We walked around but couldn't enjoy the shops as we would've liked. The main square has a Farmer's Market during the right time of the year. There was a guy playing music on the side of the road. Great views. read more

Really nice area of the city. There are tons of things to do. There are great restaurants, bars and if you go closer to Harbor East, there is a lot of shopping. There are festivals down here often and a farmers market on the weekends in the summer. If you take the water taxi, there is a stop here so it is very convenient for anyone local. This is my favorite spot to go out at night in the city. I love Barcocina and Bond Street Social. read more

Great area of Baltimore near the water with bars, shops, housing, and restaurants. Among the best places is Peters Inn...a tavern with excellent food. Also Max's Tap House for the best beer bar. Don't miss Upper Fells for the Billie Holiday Murals and some great Latino food. read more

A great place to spend a sunny day! Came to Baltimore for the first time this past weekend, and Fells Point immediately won me over. There were tons of people out walking, eating, drinking, exploring, and there was such a vibrant energy that it was hard not to get excited. The pier is beautiful and there are some really great restaurants (most with outdoor seating) right on the water, so you can still appreciate the day while eating. Also tons of dessert options! This is definitely an area I'll be sure to come back to on my next visit! read more

Fun! I love the charm of the downtown Baltimore area. Though the cobblestones get a bit rough on my feet after a while, there are plenty of pubs and eateries to use as rest stops. I love walking along the wharf and looking across the water and it's gorgeous here on a summer night. If you go during the day, you can pop into the cute little boutiques and antique stores. There's plenty for the whole family, but be prepared to maneuver through the crowds. read more

Composite review: Harbor ferries, walk on the inner harbor, hundreds of restaurants, music in many places throughout the week, adequate parking (but the specialized parking pay machines seem twitchy)..... Cat's Eye Pub, and Admiral's Cup are the two most recent venues for our visits. Lots of shops, a great vinyl record store... This is a major tourist attraction (even if you live in Baltimore). Just go an enjoy a day and evening. f8 and be there. read more

Ive been during halloween which was really cool, just maybe hundreds of drunken adults playing dress up, so just pick up a bottle of something put it in a soda bottle and make some new friends amoung the crowd just hanging out in the town square Other time to go is when its warm, its just a sad area any other time. Go get a icecream cone at the icecream shop, window shop, and pop into the vintage clothing stores, and you might be surprised and get something for super cheap. I like going to sound garden, and theres a cuban resteraunt on broadway when you go in its like your somewhere else, plus there salmon, just OMG... mouthwatering even thinking about it haha read more

When in Baltimore I like to take the Water Taxi here. I like walking around and getting something to eat at one of the many restaurants and bars in this wonderful Baltimore neighborhood. It's very nice and I get to see the building that Homicide: Life On The Street was partially filmed at. I've gone to Kooper's Tavern, BOP, Pitango Gelato, Bond Street Social, The Admiral's Cup, Sound Garden, The Point At Fells, The Horse You Came In On Saloon, Thames Street Oyster House (amazing Lobster Roll) & Max's Taphouse that has masses of beer styles. Before visiting Baltimore, I saw a lot of reference to Fells Point being a cool neighborhood full of shops, restaurants, bars, galleries and boutique stores. Or maybe that is what I inferred from what I read? The reality of Fells Point is that is it FULL of restaurants and bars. Like, a LOT of them. And that's cool if you are wanting something to eat or live or work near here as you would have a variety to pick from one day to the next. As a tourist looking to do window shopping and waste a day in the cool, trendy neighborhood, it's not really enough. Can't really hit up all the bars and restaurants on one trip so you need the galleries and shops. Unfortunately, there just weren't a lot of those that we found. There is a good music store (Sound Garden) and an okay touristy gift shop (Chesapeake something or other) and a Natty Boh store with all the Natty Boh shirts and accessories you'd like. Beyond those... we didn't find much to browse. The area is quaint and features the original cobblestone/brick streets. The buildings are cute and what you imagine of an old east coast neighborhood. The cooler stores seemed to be all right near the harbor with less as you went inland more. The main street going inland looks like it will be festooned with all sorts of cute shops and cool wares but it turns out it is mostly bars and empty storefronts. The one restaurant we went to (Brick Oven Pizza) was excellent and there were several others that looked good, so for a place to eat, this would be a great place to try. All in all, Fells Point just didn't live up to my expectation. There are lots of cool bars and places to eat but it seems to be sold as a place to stroll for an afternoon window shopping and checking out galleries. We just didn't find enough shops and galleries to spend an afternoon walking the streets, exploring and shopping. The area is cute but needs more shops to balance out all the food. read more

Super cute and vibrant part of town - we came a bit too early to check out all the local shops but will def check out next time we are in town. Looks like a more hip part of town where locals hang out, good alternative to the extremely touristy downtown Baltimore harbor. read more

It's been over a year since I was in Fell's Point, but the memories were so grand and vivid that I couldn't help but to write it still. With Mr. Jamie S. as my tour guide, I got to see the best of Fells, including wedding photo crashing, the building from Homicide, lovely brunch with yelpers (Thanks to Noralyn P. Jamie S. and Kit H.!), Natty Boh Gear, and Blues music! It was lovely and it definitely has me reminiscing about my trip to Balmer quite often. I will be back one day! read more

I had sooooo much fun when I came to visit Baltimore this summer & a bunch of the time was spend in this area. Super cute, I just wish there was more of it. Great place to go away from all that commercial stuff (yeah, some has seeped in here) at the Inner Harbor (I prefer local stuff to chains, I like to see what a place really has to offer). Additionally, this is a close cab ride, ferry, or drunken stumble to other locales with fun things to do (Canton, Federal Hill). My most favorite spot in Baltimore- probably because I used to live there 20 yrs ago. It has expanded quite a bit but still retains its charm & allure! I'm ready to move back!! We were staying a block up from the inner harbor area, & we walked to Fells Pt each morning- got a good work out in, & grabbed breakfast/brunch. Lots of great options! First time in Baltimore, and it was only for a stop over. However, my girlfriend lived here while going to Johns Hopkins and always told me how cool of an area it was. Of course she took me there and I agree. It's a great neighborhood that reminds me of some of the best historic neighborhoods in America (mostly on the East Coast). There were a lot of restaurants, shops, etc and people outside. Really liked the architecture too - well preserved from what I can see. I'm glad these types of areas still exist in America. read more

The Fells Point area (though pretty small of an area) is one of the most historic and beautiful areas of Baltimore. It's an extremely safe, clean, and friendly area great to hang out either during the day or night. Thames St is the main street of Fells Point by the water and contains many of the shops, restaurants, and bars. Fells Point is said to contain around 120 pubs, and is considered the greatest concentration of bars in the city. The beautiful and lively area is beautifully accented by the cobble stoned streets and the harbor. If you don't want to drive or walk there you can also pay $10 and take the water taxi (which gives you unlimited rides within that day) but note the water taxi line can get pretty long and it does stop running at 10-11pm. read more

A place to just wander around; lots of interesting shops; restaurants to dine in at the side walk; garage parking during the weekend is reasonable. It's near Inner Harbor. If you just got tired of walking around and you want to reserve your energy in Inner Harbor, take a water taxi. Reminder, you can't take Fido with you :( read more

I love Fells Point. So much charm, beauty and history. Fun bars, good eats and relaxing views of the water. The cobblestone streets make it hard to walk in heels but are so charming. I like the vibe. Just saw a group of LARP'ers in the courtyard fighting each other with wrapping paper roll swords. The shopping is lacking and the boutiques are over priced. Why not check out a ghost tour while here? Parking is a hassle just like everywhere else in Baltimore. Look for the Wharf lot at the end of Thames St. Can't wait to spend more time here and really get to know it well. read more

Cool place to walk around. We went on a Saturday, rode the water taxi over, walked around the farmers market. Lots of little restaurants and quaint shops. Very pet friendly area, many people had their dogs with them. read more
