We've been here a few times. The food has always been good. The pizza was hot and crispy. One of the best pizzas in the area. The service was attentive and quick. The house red wine was not to my liking. I have my own preference to red wine so I won't say it was bad but I did not prefer it personally. The Moscato was pretty good though. The house was out of complimentary bread which was a disappointment and the table we sat at was quite wobbly which made it challenging to eat at times. This was a fair experience. I would go again but I would be wary about the dining furniture and hopefully get to partake in the complimentary bread. read more

We had dinner here last night with a group of 9. We had a reservation and our table was ready when we arrived. The food was delicious. No complaints from anyone in the group. The focaccia bread/oil they provide is addicting and definitely a winner. I could have just ordered a pan of it and been happy to call it dinner. My better half had the Mac and cheese (no, he's not a child, just loves him some Mac!). I had the rigatoni in vodka sauce (it had a little kick -- it was good). I didn't ask, and should have, but I wonder if they make their pastas in-house? The rigatoni was delicious with a good bite to it, but also varying lengths which is what made me wonder if it's made in house. By the way, the reheated leftovers also had a nice kick to them! Portions were generous but I noticed also some inconsistency in pasta portions. Both of us took home leftovers, while many of our table mates finished their meals. Our portions were definitely larger than some. Also, the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 despite the good service and great food, was timing. The food was coming out of the kitchen in waves, and we waited a significant time between when the first entree arrived and the last (maybe 12-15 minutes). It's disappointing when this happens, it makes the meal less enjoyable when others are waiting. Of course, we always tell folks to go ahead and not let theirs get cold. The timing felt really off, and it wasn't just our table. Others were getting their meals scattered too. That said, the overall experience was good and we will be back. After seeing all the hype on social media, we decided to make the drive to Weslaco to try out Felice. The restaurant itself is cute, small and cozy and luckily it wasn't busy, so we were seated right away. Our server was friendly, and the menu had several tempting options. We ordered the pepperoni pizza with hot honey but if it was supposed to be spicy, we definitely didn't get that. The sweetness actually threw it off for me, which was disappointing since I was really looking forward to it. We also shared the carbonara and asked for extra sauce since we like our pasta on the saucier side and they definitely delivered. It was creamy, flavorful, and honestly gone within two minutes. Just a heads-up though: the photo makes it look like a big portion, but it's mostly sauce, so not ideal for sharing. Overall, the pasta was delicious, the pizza was just okay. Came on a Sunday evening to get some Italian food. It's limited options here in the valley so found felice on yelp. Never heard of this place but photos looked amazing. Came in sat at bar and had an amazing meal and experience. They have a house white and red wine on tap that taste fantastic and refreshing. Their Cesar salad was so flavorful and fresh. Went to try out the new Italian restaurant n Weslaco named Felice. The place is quaint and not too big. I had called before arriving since I had seen other videos stating it was best to call ahead. I asked about reservations but was told it was not really necessary I told them I would be going over n 20 minutes for a party of 2 she said to go on over. We arrived and asked for a seat we saw a couple of tables open but were told they were for reservations so we could sit at the bar or one of the tables by the bar that only sat 2 people but were quite small and by the windows which with the sun out made it very hot to sit by so we opted to sit at the bar. While sitting at the bar the kitchen staff did interact with some people and asked if they had questions very friendly wait staff. It did start to get busy after we arrived but the food seemed to be coming out quickly . We ordered the crispy provolone and a Pepperoni pizza. The drink selection was limited and sodas were in cans they also had beer and wine. They did give us a bottle of water to start with which was nice and chilled. The crispy provolone was delicious it was 2 pieces with some marinara on the bottom of it one of them was not cooked enough to where the cheese melted inside but was still very good. The marinara had a good tomato flavor to it it was also rich and thick not runny like others I've had the complimentary bread they gave us had a crunchy crust however it seemed dense and moist not light and airy as it looked the oil also could have used more seasoning to it. The pizza was the kicker that was delicious the crust was light and very crispy and had a good flavor the pepperonis had a good flavor to the as well I just wish it had a little bit more mozzarella on it and sauce which was there but could have used just a tad more. The pizza did remind me me of some pizza I've had in New York like 2 bros pizza with the thin crust but chewy at the same time. I will go back because the food tasted fresh and good and it could have been just the slice I had the at hadn't dispersed the components evenly but I did enjoy it. Next time I will go try some pasta and other things as this was just quick decision to dine out at. But I would recommend this place and will definitely be back. Service was slow and inattentive. The ambience is small and cramped. The food is just OK but that's it. I tried their pizza and it was really salty. Also various acidic. I tried their Bolognese. It was OK. It didn't have a lot of flavor. It wasn't very meaty. I really don't understand what's going on with their fettuccine. I had their chicken Alfredo. I don't know why my pasta was crunchy both times I ordered it. There really shouldn't be anything crunchy in chicken Alfredo. The sauce was mid. I tried it four times. First of all, this isn't the type of place that should have reservations as an option. This is casual dining. The pastas are an experiment in fine dining and it's a failure. The reservations are more like call ahead seating for Texas Roadhouse. In order to get us out of the way they asked us to sit at our table prior to it being cleaned or set up with glassware, plates, etc. There was a delay on plates for the table. We were told there wasn't enough plates for everyone. When asking for water we received Wet glasses. So again this is not a fine dining/reservations as an option, type of restaurant. Service was the major issue. When the restaurant isn't super busy there shouldn't be confusion about who will or will not be our server. Management has failed to train servers properly. It honestly all felt like a bad SNL skit. The pizza was good and well made but not good enough to come back. I wish this restaurant well but I think there are a lot of things that need improving. The bolognese sauce was mostly a thin watery tomato sauce and tasted like chef boyardee. The Alfredo dish reminded the table of box pasta, where the sauce comes in a plastic pouch. We laughed the entire meal because we could not believe the experience we were having. My advice, train your servers, take pasta making classes, and make fresh sauces IF this fine Italian restaurant is your ultimate goal. Otherwise, if you want a more casual dining experience then improve salads and only offer pizza. You can add in other bar food types of appetizers but Get rid of reservations. Best of luck. It's hard opening a new restaurant but it's even harder if the concept isn't clearly defined prior. read more

Finally tried this place out! You don't NEED a reservation, but definitely make one. It's a small place so seating is very limited (I think they'd get better use of the place if they rearranged the tables), the parking is also limited, so if you're going in a group, try going in one car. Lol We made a reservation and I was seated quickly, but my server never came around, I was there a good 5-7 minutes. When the rest of my group showed up the server finally came by with bread and dipping oil and offered water and took our drink orders (which also took forever to get, we reminded her twice about the drinks). She was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu, explaining in detail about the plates. We asked for recommendations and she offered her opinion and why she enjoyed a particular dish. Looking over the menu my friend and I decided to share the broccolini, bolognese, and a pizza (half spicy pep/half sausage). The other ladies in the group ordered the bolognese also because they had run out of the chicken parm, and someone ordered the chicken Alfredo. We all liked the food. I personally preferred the spicy pepperoni over the sausage. It had a drizzly of honey over it which I had never had and enjoyed. I LOVE broccolini and this one was pretty good. The other ladies enjoyed their food too. My friend who had the Alfredo said the sauce was a little thin for her, but that the taste was good. The place was nice, a little bright for an Italian place, I think, but super cute little spot. We all agreed we would come back but not right away. Anything the Garcia family touches is gold! We love their Teddy's and Jolene's and Felice is another great extension to their food kingdom. Things you "need to try" are definitely the cheese pull on the fried provolone, chicken Alfredo and the hot honey spicy pepperoni! I am not even a pepperoni person, but I think about this pizza often because the hot honey on it is just so good. My absolute favorite is the bacon and fig pizza. They were out of the complimentary bread, no big deal. Unfortunately all our plates came out 1 at a time. So we opted to just place the plate in the center of the table & everyone try the different dishes ordered. The last plate we had to mention multiple times we were still missing that plate. Our table was literally cleared from everything else when the final dish came out. Also, they were out of the Tiramisu. First we had reservations. Restaurant is small but that's not the biggest issue . They sat us down at a dirty table and said they would clean it up right away which they didn't they forgot. When I reminded them the host got a spray bottle and spray it all over the table with us seated there . The host proceeded to clean the table throwing the crumbs that were on the table on us . We asked for 5 waters before deciding what drinks we were going to order . Glasses were all wet and the host asked if we wanted them dry or if that was fine . Then they only brought us 4 plates because they had run out of plates and didn't have any clean . Server showed up took our order then left and brought us bread and olive oil. Took our drink order but forgot one . We had to remind her to bring the drink . Food is mediocre nothing to brag about. We order 3 pizzas, 2 arugula salads, 1 chicken Alfredo dinner plate, 1 bolognese dinner plate, broccolini side dish . Had the pleasure of joining my friends for a second time at Felice. This time we sat at the bar, and I love sitting at chef tables and getting to see them in action I'm so happy there is something like this in the valley. Also please take into consideration while sitting at the bar area this isn't a regular bar there are no bartenders. It's an interpersonal experience with the chefs getting to see how run the restaurant if they are available to answer your questions or talk to you I promise they will. Be patient and kind. 1000000/10 I would recommend. The RGV needed exactly this. I can compare this to Michelin star restaurants that I have visited in the past. High quality ingredients, people and atmosphere. It has the duality for a cute date night or family outing. Nice options for beer and wine. We started off with the broccolini it was sitting on whipped ricotta with a chilli oil + hot honey on top it was a nice palette cleanse and something to get as an app or a side with dinner. The Suppli was a happy surprise I didn't know what to expect I've never had anything like it. The crispy provolone is an amazing take on regular mozzarella sticks. Caesar salad is perfect to share, the dressing is fresh and light they make the bread crumbs in house. The pesto gnocchi.. yeah I can eat a whole order by myself. The texture is soft + flavor is so rich. If you've never had gnocchi before I would recommend trying it. We got to try almost all of their pizzas. OMG let's start off by saying I judge pizza based off dough anyone can put topping on something, when I tell you this is the crispiest lightest dough and it has depth to it.. how they did that I have no clue. The toppings are very thought out. The spicy pepperoni adds a tiny kick + they drizzle some hot honey Bialca is my favorite it's an explosion of flavors and everything compliments each other so well. The sweetness of fig preserves breaks up the saltiness of the bacon + the basil to bring some freshness back. Pure harmony. These two pizzas are my favorite because they took a classic pepperoni and added their spin on to it. And when have yall ever had bacon + fig preserves? I saw that they had added a chicken Alfredo and when I asked Chef Jesse how they made it... my mouth started watering. Let's start off by saying this an isn't Olive Garden so if you're expecting white meat and a basic sauce you're out of luck. This is WAY better. They use chicken thighs, they cook and render them and then they use the juices of the chicken thighs to make the sauce.. building complexity and richness of the flavors I can't wait to try it. You can tell that the chefs take great pride and have strong integrity in how they create and prepare their dishes.. What makes my heart the happiest is that they're from the RGV trying to elevate and introduce different palettes to people who unfortunately may not have the privilege to travel to experience these things. One of the better establishments in Weslaco, for sure. My partner and I have been coming for the last couple of weeks since their opening and can't get enough. So far we've tried the pesto gnocchi, chicken alfredo, hot pepperoni and bialca pizza - our favorite being the last. The ambiance is great, perfectly suited for a chill Friday night and priced very fairly especially for the quality of the plates. The back of house runs like a well oiled machine, insanely impressive for an up and coming restaurant. However, the front of house could use some help. Most of the servers are kind, friendly, and useful however they seem to need better coordination and leadership. A better host or hospitality manager maybe? Tonight the host almost made us go home since he joked and said "why didn't you guys make a reservation?". Safe to say that the joke didn't land and we sat ourselves at the bar.
