Her professional demeanor and kindness put me at ease as dad is unable to advocate for himself due to pre-dementia. Through out his stay I was impressed with the nurses' care for him , and sincerity of Ms.Love in engaging him in activities. The facility is clean and the staff attentive. After his discharge, Ms. Davis called to share that we left a few of his items. Ms. Davis knowing his inability to leave home went the extra step and delivered the items to my family .

The first day there my daughter and I stayed with him at the facility for nine hours during this time the nursing assistant came into the room once and this was after I inquired who would be taking care of him. I was told by the RN that the nursing assistant would come into the room every two hours to check if her patients needed any assistance. The man in the room with my husband kept screaming for his diaper to be changed. I returned to the facility the next morning at 9:00am my husband's bed was soiled from his legs draining and his bandages hadn't been changed. The only cover he had on him was a throw that I had brought from home. I was told that he urinated on the floor and soiled his blanket, I had warned the staff that he'd try and get out of bed to go to the restroom, I was also told that he had become combative with the two female staff (not spitting or hitting) but wouldn't follow instructions. A male staff member was called to his room. My husband said the male staff was mean to him with words, to which he told him my circumstance is bad, but I'm still a man. After this he stated the man was nicer. When I asked about his linen being changed and his bandages changed the RN told me wound care, and the nursing assistant would come and take care of him. I was concerned about the lack of attention he was getting and requested hospice to transport him back home. His wounds weren't being taken care of and there was no respite care for me if I was staying with him at the facility, and worried about his care while at home. Administration came to talk to me and asked if he could stay an additional day for them to show the level of care they could provide. I told her in two days the level of care was evident, and I know how mean people can get when a complaint has been filed. I wasn't willing to sacrifice my husband's comfort under the staff's wrath. To solidify my response the RN came into his room fifteen minutes before the EMT arrived to change his bandage. So that was 9:00am to 2:15 pm that his bed was soiled, his bandages on his leg were heavily soiled. I didn't see the nursing assistant at all this day and never met anyone from wound care. When the EMT arrived at 2:30pm they commented on the holes in the wall next to his bed, and his wet bed. I warn anyone thinking about taking family to this facility, they seemed nice, but your loved ones won't get the attention they deserve.

It's truly sad when you are met with dry, surly inconsistent reception from staff. When individuals seek out facilities like these it is a cry for help with your physical and mental wellbeing. Why should I believe I am able to get better service from a fast food restaurant than a medical facility that I have placed the total care of myself or loved ones. I believe the entire staff should require weekly if not daily sensitivity training reinforced with a performance management regimen. I am not blaming the warm body that was hired to fill a slot. I blame leadership for hiring and allowing this less than substandard behavior. In other words, 'you are only as good as your leadership team.' If an employee respects their leadership and has been trained properly, they would never put them (and the organization) in a bad light. I am now expanding my search for a more suitable facility. It should be a calling for those that wish to work in the field of patient care and not simply a paycheck. Whether you realize it or not, one day you too will require the care of a health center...rehab, nursing, hospital or other.

All of the physical therapists and assistants at this location are exceptional. The entire team is very respectful, caring and really good at what they do. They all keep an eye on all of the patients to ensure proper execution of the exercises. They are all friendly, fun and helpful, making sure each patient gets the best results. I attended this location for several months, both before and after rotator cuff surgery. My results have been excellent. I highly recommend this facility.

While waiting for the scheduled appointment, was offered to use the Keurig machine to brew tea or coffee. Some chocolates from valentines is also up for grabs. Prior to physical therapy, request for a male or female therapist of choice. Individualized method of therapy per patient. The physical therapist was very hands on. records the activities manually in a folder and laptop. First meeting with the physical therapist was an interview or assessment of previous and existing medical condition related to pain, medication and history of operations or fall. After the necessary data encoding, the patient was asked to lie down the bed for further evaluation-testing the strength, flexibility and tolerance to pain. There was stretching of the legs, the hips etc. After an hour of session, the patient feels relieved of pain. educated regarding the use of warm compress and elevating the legs at night before bed. Signed documents regarding insurance and plot schedule of treatment. No idea on how much will be the cost or copay during the first meeting. The bill will be sent to insurance for assessment then the patient will be notified in a couple of weeks as mentioned by the receptionist/receiving staff. In today's experience, the patient feels well taken cared of by the staff and will be back the next day for the 2nd visit and so forth.

I found Magnum online, these guys got a Dr to do a house visit that afternoon, thank God because he was on blood thinning medication, they set him up on a lower dose of warfarin, got a nurse to come visit him twice a week to make sure he was reacting ok to the med dosage and also got a physical therapist to come to his house twice a week! He is doing 100% better now, able to leave his house when he wants and seems a lot healthier after the medication change. The physical therapist helped him to be able to exercise on his own and strengthen himself to be able to do household chores and his hobbies, I can't thank you guys enough, he really feels independent and happy again! Thanks guys!!!
