I've worked with many providers from all specialties of care as both a nurse, patient and Administrator and in my opinion, she excels above her peers. I have struggled for years to find that balance as a female only to have that balance shift as I age and driving my own care for results, tirelessly, in the process. I trust her with my BioTe HRT treatments and prefer the natural route of which she is an expert provider. She will waste zero time working to ensure you are at your optimal health, completely ahead of standard medicine, and I've yet to take a single pill or synthetic to do so. She manages my optimal thyroid for Hashimoto's and I have never been healthier. My husband also sees her for his HRT and BioTe treatments and trust me, no one is disappointed. There's no shame in self care to live your best life and she and her team help us do just that. I owe her a debt of gratitude for the expert care and knowledge she has empowered me with and both admire and appreciate, greatly, her skill and integrity. Best of the best.

I transferred into Savannah Birthing Center in my third trimester after moving across the country…read more I had done a lot of research on holistic providers in the area and was really excited to become a patient here. At my first prenatal appointment, I sat in the waiting room as my midwife complained loudly to the receptionist that I had not completed any of my intake forms and it would set her behind for the day. It was absolutely humiliating to listen to a medical professional complain to their team about me. Upon discovering that my name was spelled wrong and they were sent to the wrong email, she did not apologize or acknowledge that it was not my fault that these forms hadn't been completed. At the beginning of the same appointment, I explained that I had a history of disordered eating and was not comfortable being weighed. I had not been weighed in 3+ years, therefore I had no pre-pregnancy weight to compare my current weight to. The midwife said she HAD to weigh me, but would hide my weight. After she weighed me, she promptly turned the computer screen towards me so I could see my weight. Devastating. This entire appointment start to finish was horrible. I got only a handful of words in the entire time. She talked endlessly about how overwhelmed she was about their new charting system and opened a can of soda halfway through my appointment. It felt extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. I ultimately left the practice when the midwife received extremely sensitive test results I had been waiting on and did not update me about them for over a week. I called and emailed several days in a row and was dismissed. When she finally emailed me to let me know the outcome of the test results, she noted that I had access to the same test results and could read them myself, as if I am a qualified medical professional and could have possibly understood what they meant or how to interpret the implications of the results. I would not return to Savannah Birth Center at any point. I have not had such an uncomfortable and unprofessional appointment in my entire pregnancy and would not return to a practice where such little regard was held for my health and my baby's health.

I was 42 years old, an IVF patient, working a demanding job, and determined to work right up until delivery. Dr. Edwards made me a promise: if I followed his instructions and did my part, he would allow me to go as far as I felt comfortable--as long as he felt both baby and I were safe. After experiencing a premature birth and a chemical pregnancy, I was willing to do whatever it took to bring my miracle baby into the world. Twenty-nine weeks later, we welcomed a healthy, full-term baby weighing 8 pounds and measuring 19 inches long. Some people may say Dr. Edwards lacks bedside manner, but what he may not give you in warmth, he more than makes up for with over 30 years of experience, knowledge, and a commitment to getting both mom and baby safely through pregnancy. And that's coming from someone who is extremely critical of doctors and has worked in the medical field myself. I would also be remiss if I didn't mention his incredible support staff. They are absolutely amazing and played a huge role in making this journey a positive experience. Thank you, Dr. Edwards and team, for helping me safely bring my miracle baby into the world.
