Danny Brewer from Feel the Beat Entertainment DJed our wedding over a year ago, and I still have wedding guests compliment him! He was so fun to work with before the actual event and was never hard to get a hold of. I had been to wedding before where the DJ was lacking and no one was on the dance floor because of the DJ and that NEVER happened at our wedding with Feel the Beat DJing. He also provided cool lighting for our venue and if you want they rent a photobooth for guests to have fun with. While we used Danny Brewer himself, he also has associates that you can hire for a little less. They are still awesome and totally worth it, but we were so Impressed with Mr. Brewer that we decided the little extra was worth it. read more

Danny did the entertainment and was the MC for my wedding reception at Inverness Country Club back in June 2016. Not only did the event go exactly as we had hoped, but Danny thought of a lot of great things to make it even better. He was very professional and delivered a top quality product. Danny from FTB did my wedding reception in 2017 and I still cringe thinking about it. My biggest want for my reception was fun, upbeat music that we could dance to and have a great time. I'm a huge music person and had specific songs we wanted played as they were a part of our dating relationship and engagement. We were so disappointed when many of those songs didn't get played and Danny took his "creative liberties" with the playlist. When people would request songs, he'd tell them no even though we specifically marked on our pre-wedding survey that this was allowed. He talked WAY too much... we paid for music, not someone's commentary. I get that's part of being a DJ, but there was one particular song where he made everyone shout my name at one particular part every time it happened in the song. I was mortified and felt like I was at a 5 year olds birthday party. This was one of the most important parts of my wedding for me - that my guests (and us) would have fun while listening to some great music that reflected us as a couple, so I was definitely let down. We also used them for our photo booth and I was gravely misled on how that would unfold. I asked for a proof of what our print out would be since I had sent them a specific graphic to put at the bottom of the picture strip. I never got the proof. Had I, I would have not used them. The graphic was blurry and they pasted their website address over top of it, making it look so sloppy and unprofessional. I had also told them I didn't want the picture strips in a photo book (which is common for people to do at receptions now) because I wanted all of them to be sent home with our guests. They used a glue stick to put them in a janky photobook even after I told them I didn't want that. I think the cherry on top for all of this actually happened before any of the above listed debauchery. I was supposed to have several conversations with Danny in the process of planning our wedding and reception. None of these ever happened, as he always "had something come up" or just straight up wouldn't call. I found this to be VERY unprofessional and frustrating. I called him several times, as did my wedding planner, and we never would get a call back. Keep in mind that the phone call was a part of his requirement for him to do the reception, not mine. I called him one last time the Monday of our wedding week and told him that this was the last day I'd be able to talk as we had family arriving, wedding week festivities and travel. He proceeded to call back 4 days later when I was driving to Birmingham for the bridesmaids luncheon the day before my wedding. He made me feel like the guilty party for our lack of communication and told me that he wouldn't be able to do his job well if we didn't talk through everything I wanted. Mind you, I had already filled out an exhaustive survey with songs we wanted, songs we didn't want played, and specific songs for father-daughter dance, bouquet toss, etc. so there really was no need for this phone call. He proceeded to talk me for the hour long drive to Birmingham - all of which could have been accomplished in a few, much shorter, phone calls had he actually taken my calls at the scheduled times during the 5 months we were planning our wedding. All-in-all, it was a huge let down having them as a part of our wedding day. We had an all star line up of vendors for the wedding and reception (I genuinely couldn't have picked a better team) and it makes me so sad to think back on our special day and see a blemish and lapse in judgement in hiring FTB. I would definitely recommend finding someone else to do your DJing, if that's the route you take. read more

Where do I even start to describe what Danny and Feel the Beat added to my daughter, Marley's, Bat Mitzvah party? I am a returning customer, so that already says a lot, but now, 5 and a half years after the first party, Danny has raised the bar even higher. To start, Danny met with Marley and a dozen of her friends to discuss music requests, party games, likes, dislikes, and more than anything let them all know that they were important and heard. He came through with all of their requests, and believe it or not, made the adults at the party equally as happy. Danny and his crew were great party motivators! The dance floor stayed packed....the kids, in particular, loved dancing on the lighted risers that we had Danny bring. Danny also brought lighted high boys(tables)which were placed around the perimeter of the dance floor...these were an amazing addition and were a fantastic(and convenient)place to leave your drink while dancing(aaahhhh....no spills).The photo booth, as always, was a big hit, and Danny's selection of backgrounds and picture sizes is endless...Patience, at the office, even custom made a border for our party's theme. We also got the ring roamer, which for those die hard dancers was perfect...it is basically a traveling photo booth or extra photographer, and immediately sends the picture to your cell phone...and you never even have to leave the dance floor(this again had the custom border that Patience designed for us). Finally, Danny and Feel the Beat played a large part in transforming the room into Marley's dream party with the uplighting. The multicolored lighting was perfection in bringing "Love, Peace, and Marley Reese" to life. The personalities of everyone from FTB who attended the party were amazing...they were incredibly warm and easy to work with. Basically, I would not do anything different if I had it to do all over again. Danny's and FTB were perfect and I would not change a thing. I can't wait to plan my next party with them! read more

TERRIBLE experience. I got a referral from a friend for a DJ, but the experience dealing with Joe and Danny at Feel the Beat was awful. Since my friend recommended a certain DJ, they wanted to charge me $500 just for a "referral fee" on top of their lowest rate of $950!! They're all about the little fees to add up for lights, extra people at your event, more than 4 hours of DJ, travel expenses, etc etc. Not only was the price and contract a pain to work out, they fired our DJ less than 3 months before our event! They've scheduled someone else but at this point it's not worth the hassle. AVOID them at all costs. read more

Brandon DJ'd my daughter's surprise sweet 16 party and he was EXCELLENT! ! When we arrived to the venue he already had her friends dancing. He let everyone know she had arrived and they greeted her with a huge Happy Birthday! ! Brandon kept a beat playing all the time. There was never a break between songs which kept everyone excited and dancing. Not only did Brandon call my nephew, by name, to come upfront to dance The Whip (the latest new dance), he even DANCED with my nephew! Then he talked my daughter into joining them. That is such a memorable moment. I even danced the night away! I wanted her party to be memorable and Brandon made it happen. Great experience and I highly recommend Brandon for anyone's event.
