Happy Cleaning Services

Wow! WOW! We met…read moreEdwina and Poncho of Happy Cleaning Service when they came to see our condo and interview for a potential cleaning job. They were so delightful that we visited for 90 minutes! Fair warning; the price seemed mind boggling. Nonetheless, on the basis of their obvious work ethic, we agreed on a first cleaning. I repeat; WOW! They arrived with an impressive amount of equipment and supplies. The first thing Edwina and the two men who accompanied her did was set up an air cleaning machine (ozonater, I assume). We scooted away and hid out in a neighbor's condo since the reason we needed help was my husband's recent illness (and our advanced age). They were at work SO LONG we sent a spy to see if they were still there! They were.....for seven hours! (That's 21 with three people working!) I should mention that we have two cats, one with longish hair. Edwina understood; they have a cat as well. I don't think she was quite prepared for the volume of cat hair though. Not only did they do everything I wanted done, but I had to fight Edwina at the end.....over even one more chore. I keep my lovely, tempting, couch with its nubby fabric covered with a sheet to protect it from the cats. I washed the sheets before Happy Cleaners arrived and they were in the dryer. AFTER I paid her, Edwina tried to get those sheets and cover the couch! It hadn't even been covered when she arrived! She had to have been exhausted, but didn't even look tired. After she left and my eyes had adjusted from the glare of CLEAN, I had a closer look around. Cabinets...check. Lānai...both of them....beautiful! Ahhh....the little crease in the leather chairs that even I had just noticed had accumulated crumbs....she noticed; they were gone. Bed in the guest room; made like a high end hotel. It took longer to be flabbergasted. Windows had been done. She had managed to clean the grubby screen door; I'd tried and failed. Even the screen in the kitchen, which we can't remove and was absolutely filthy, was much improved; I don't know how. It was the next day before I discovered that she had cleaned and organized my silverware drawer.....then I noticed she'd done ALL the kitchen drawers! (Oh, dear Lord, please tell me she didn't look in my nightstand! Amen). Who ARE these people? Not only are they a delightful Christian couple I would be happy to call friends, they work like machines and have a work ethic like I have never seen....anywhere. Yes, the price is pretty steep, but you will absolutely get your money's worth. Don't hesitate. Hire Happy Cleaning Service! Worth every penny. P.S. Get Poncho to sing for you!

My childhood home was the location of my personal mission, season one, episode one. I figured it'd be easier to rent one of those huge dumpsters rather than hauling small loads to the dump ourselves. Jumped on Yelp, researched and made a decision to go with Waste Pro Hawaii. EXPERIENCE: The website wasn't too informative so I called in to a friendly, professional gal. She explained the fees and process accordingly. They offer roll offs in 15, 20 and 30 yard sizes (covered or uncovered), along with tipplers and dumpsters in varying sizes. You're allowed to keep the bin for as long as you like which was the selling point for me and why I chose them over Maui Disposal. While the haul-away fee for Maui Disposal was about $100 less, they force you to haul away the bin every 14 days or pay a fee. Forget that! We decided on an uncovered 30-yard roll off which ended up being the perfect size in the end. I called in to order it and they were able to deliver on the same day which was perfect as I had to personally hand over a down payment ($450 and change for the dumpster, deliver fee and tax) to the truck driver. The roll was huge and thought no way we'd fill it up but we did. It's shaped like a "U" with a huge swinging door on one end. I was concerned that there were no holes on the bottom for water drainage but even with the significant amount of rain we had it never ponded. We got rid of several cabinets, mattresses, bed frames, entertainment centers, junk and clutter! After about a month we called for the haul away in which they came the next day. A final bill was sent a few days later after our load was weighed. Here's the breakdown of our charges: $370.00 for the 30-yard roll off $62.50 delivery charge $114/ton Maui County landfill fee ($169.86 for 1.49 tons of our waste) $627.45 grand total OVERALL: Well worth the money. Why burden yourself with renting a U-Haul, making multiple trips to the dump with sweat equity and paying by the mileage?

Going on month 6 or so of reaching out to get help out of homelessness... does it usually take over…read more6 months to get, an individual that doesn't drink doesn't smoke has a clear mind and just has a spine injury at age 36, off the street homeless?? I would think they could do it in a day to a month tops... I'm now over 6 months or so waiting for this center to help me... to point me in a right direction... to navigate me through HUD or a shelter... 6 months ago I reached out and did everything they wanted. All they did was report me to the police for being homeless because it's illegal to be homeless... and I'm still homeless 6 months later... been homeless for years... can anyone explain what's going on and why these people are being paid salaries if they cannot get someone off the street that's homeless In a timely manner?? Should be literally within a week tops... so much funding goes to help people get off the street .... I'm still waiting in the street 6 months later.... Is this place ever going to prove they can help anyone out of homelessness.... I haven't been checked up on or called once since my case worker Cindy took my case either. Everything is logged... why is it so impossible for these people to help people get off the street and into a shelter or HUD home ?? Is there some sort of corruption occurring?? Because again... it should take a day to a month maximum to get someone off the street. I've been on the street over 6 months and patiently waiting to be helped by this organization but apparently it's a scam? If not prove me wrong and get me off the street already like what if this was your grandmother on the street for years? This is an absolutely unacceptable length of time to leave someone homeless that has reached out for help and is abiding by any and all of your rules and stipulations.
