I love Pastor Scott Sinner and his team they always bring a powerful message and they do a fantastic job serving the community! I am writing to update my review of this church because it is under temporary new leadership. The…read morenew temporary pastor is a far better man than any pastor this church has had in the past. The members and elders remain largely unchanged, and the issues I raised in my initial review remain serious problems BUT it is clear that this man is at least trying to lead the community in a godly way rather than seeking personal glory through the twisting of God's word. This new pastor won't be staying, he is only leading the search for a permanent replacement, so whether the church truly changes is impossible to predict at this point but for now it seems like a possibility, and that is a huge change. Given all the other choices for places to worship in Placerville I would still recommend fishing somewhere else, but I did feel I should update my review to reflect this small, temporary change in the hope that lasting change does eventually take hills.

The first visit there I was SOOO focused on the fact that they were "Baptist" that I missed the message! Seriously! I had to admit when asked that I missed the entire message. I came back the following week and have been there since! The church has had it's share of ups and downs because we are a congregation of sinners saved by grace. We have grown stronger in our since of community and love and respect towards one another. THis church is definitely my church "Home"
