I am writing to update my review of this church because it is under temporary new leadership. The…read morenew temporary pastor is a far better man than any pastor this church has had in the past. The members and elders remain largely unchanged, and the issues I raised in my initial review remain serious problems BUT it is clear that this man is at least trying to lead the community in a godly way rather than seeking personal glory through the twisting of God's word. This new pastor won't be staying, he is only leading the search for a permanent replacement, so whether the church truly changes is impossible to predict at this point but for now it seems like a possibility, and that is a huge change. Given all the other choices for places to worship in Placerville I would still recommend fishing somewhere else, but I did feel I should update my review to reflect this small, temporary change in the hope that lasting change does eventually take hills.
