Love the restaurant inside on the top floor beautiful and not open to the public. So you have to know someone that works in the building.

Late last evening, my 16yo grandson ran away. It's the first time he has ever done anything like…read morethat. After our personal attempts to find him proved unsuccessful, My daughter and I went to the local precinct, or rather district as they are called in Boston, to file a missing person report. Having recently retired after 34 years in law enforcement, I felt a little strange being on the other side of the desk. The desk officer, P.O. Grace greeted us with a friendly "Good morning, and didn't act as if we were interrupting him. He asked the appropriate questions, and expressed genuine sympathy with our concerns. When he finished taking our report he stated that he would immediately send my grandson's description out to the officers that were currently on duty. As my daughter and I headed home, we were both feeling stressed however I believed they would find him. I also appreciated that we weren't made to feel embarrassed or ashamed of my grandson's behavior. I fell asleep with my phone in my hand. A few hours later my daughter woke me up to tell me my grandson had been found by the police. An Officer Hogan (plainclothes) was at the door and again I was greeted politely. He explained that a unit on patrol had found my grandson just walking several blocks away. He was in good condition and unharmed but EMS was called to our house as a precautionary measure. Thank you Boston PD for finding my grandson and bringing him home safely. Thank you for a job well done.

There are good cops everywhere, but I swear the many MBTA police officers are on par with state…read morepolice in terms of attitude, power trip mentality, and an all out effort to act like machines instead of humans. Example: I once wanted to board a bus at the Lechmere T stop (the subway trains weren't running) with a small antique chair that I bought across the street, smaller than some baby carriages that are brought on. An officer walked up to me, told me I couldn't, and really made a show about how important she was as she swaggered back and forth in her uniform and rattled off rules. I would have been fine with the rule explanation but for the fact that while she did this, with her back to the bus, two men boarded, carrying a HUGE, BOXED, FLAT SCREEN TV, one man on each end. I tried repeatedly to draw her attention to this and she refused to turn around! She just smiled, shook her head and said, "I don't see anything!" Arrogance, self importance, and rule enforcement when and as she wanted to. Hope she gets fired with an attitude like that. Better yet I hope she reads this and pictures me making a deserving gesture with my hand.

They also suggested I take the train and stop at every station to look for the bike if someone might have just left it somewhere! They're utter failures at what they're supposed to do - enforcement and order keeping! I don't know why they even exist!
