Standard food bathed in good sauce is still standard food. De Kale Man has the best friets I've had anywhere. This unsuspecting little friet stand at the beginning of the Javastraat is truly a hidden gem. The regular customers know it and the newcomers are confused that they didn't already know. You WILL NOT find better friets in Amsterdam or Brussels or Paris or.......

Like all Febos, they serve delicious meat purée fried into a crunchy tube, for only €1.50! They also have good fries and things like cheeseburgers, chicken wings, and milkshakes if you tire of delicious meat tubes.

The fries are fresh cut and crisp on the outside and tender on the inside and the peanut sauce is is just what we wanted; peanutty and creamy.
