I stayed here for one night on business last week. Its an old smaller hotel set a little out of town. The greeting was friendly and check in quick. Unfortunately the first room had a plumbing problem but a change of room was immediately offered. The second room was fine but a little dated. That said everything was clean and the bed comfy.
There is a small bar at the front of the hotel and looks over the park, I had a couple of pints before dinner. The food was all home cooked and excellent quality. I started with pate and had a main of ham egg and chips. Large brandy followed and off to bed.
Must make special mention of the breakfast it was one of the nicest full English I ever had.
Proper sausage and bacon with black pudding and poached egg. Perfect!
I would stay here again no problem.
B&B was £120. Dinner about £35. read more
