Specialties
FHGS specializes in working with any and all fly fishing levels. From the beginner, who is just learning the basics, all the way up to the advanced angler, who is just wanting a little aid in scoping out a new body of water to them, we can help with anything inbetween.
We are capable of guiding large groups, and 1-on-1 trips, we have all the necessary equipment (fly rods, reels, flies, ETC) for you at the ready so you can a wonderful day on the water, but we also welcome you to bring your own gear if you choose to learn how to use what you own.
Going on a guided fly fishing trip isn't always just about catching fish. For some new anglers, it's more important to learn the techniques implemented in order to become a successful angler. We here at FHGS are all about that! We love teaching clients casting methods, as well as proper fishing skills and techniques needed to catch those finicky fish, as we stated above, a lot of the time, learning the techniques is just as important as catching fish.

Meet the Business Owner: Seth C.
Hello, my name is Seth Cline, owner of FHGS. I've been a fly fishing guide for almost a decade, and the sport of fly fishing has been a passion of mine since a young age.
Born and raised in the Eastern Sierra, I was shown by my father and grandfather, how to fish using conventional tackle, and then around the age of 6 years old, I took on the challenge of learning how to fly fish. A long-time friend of the family, Frank, introduced me to the art of casting a fly rod at that young age.
From there, my passion for the sport blew up, learning to tie my own flies, as well as new casts and techniques that were self-taught due to not many of my friends/family knowing how to fly fish. So, a lot of the time, I had to implement a good amount of "DIY" to my day to day fishing adventures after school or on the weekends.
Later on, I taught a long-time friend of mine how to fly fish, and i realized then that I had a calling. To be come the fly fishing guide I currently am now.
Thank you.
