It seems a lot folks had really good experiences with FD remodeling. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with them. I think they could have done a good job had we been assigned a quality project manager out of the gate. However, our original project manager did a really poor job of coordinating and managing the project. There was no attention to detail which led to over half of our project having to be redone. I think we also got the bottom of the barrel sub-contractors. Many things were done incorrectly with very low end quality. Because of the project being done wrong the first go round, FD was in a constant state of trying to recoup cost which led to a number of original scope of work disputes. Those ultimately led to us having to pay a higher price to complete the project. When we hired FD, we expected to get a completely finished project without us having to fight for basic finishing touches like caulking trim, staining wood they installed, and painting walls. Our business with FD has concluded but we're still left with a number of finishing touch items that FD did not want to do (primarily painting). We basically had to fight with them all the way to the end of the project to get it 95% completed. The only saving grace for them is that they tried to recover the poor work that was done originally and they did correct a number of things that were originally done wrong. Overall, I just can't recommend them based on our experience. read more

The crew came in and completed all work in 3 days. Stripped wallpaper, torn out flooring and replaced with tile, installed new floating vanity and LED mirror. I cannot speak highly enough of this company. They were very competitively priced, and the quality of their work FAR surpassed our expectations. They completely remodeled our bathroom, which involved: tearing down a wall and building a new wall with a door, moving the placement of the drain under the tub, reworking the plumbing to allow for a shower/bath unit where previously there had only been a shower stall, installing a fan where there had never been one, sealing off unused pipes where we had previously had a sink, moving electrical and switches to allow for better light placement, tiling all of the floors and shower walls, installing all of the new fixtures, and much more. They finished ahead of schedule and on budget. Everyone on the crew was polite, professional, and so easy to work with. We didn't know what we were doing or even what we wanted a lot of the time, and they were able to guide us through all of that and make everything very easy on us. We were also able to leave them to do their work in the house while we were away at work, which was great. They put down mats to keep the path they took in and out of the house clean, and were always very respectful of the house in general. Our bathroom was a hideous relic of the 80's, and now looks like it came out of a home decor magazine. We are thrilled with the results. I highly recommend giving these guys a call. We had Javier and his team come to retile our kitchen, and it wasn't an easy job. It had a few layers of flooring including vinyl and tile, and the floor itself was very uneven. Javier and his team did such a good job. They leveled the floor to perfection and then installed the tile beautifully. FD painters did an amazing job on our home in Vinings! We had a horrible layout of dark paint colors throughout our two story home. We went with some neutral grays and tans and were worried that the old paint would show through the new paint. Especially for how good the quote was, I thought it was too good to be true based on other quotes that were given to us that were ATLEAST double the price. FD simply did an amazing job. Just to give you insight on how easy and professional FD was: FD came out to our home, took some pictures of the layout, and then sent us a quote we couldn't refuse later that day. After they finished our painting, they even hung up new master bedrooms doors for us that we had previously purchased from Home Depot (our existing hinge placements didn't line up with the new doors). They shaved new hinge placements and filled in the old ones, hung the doors, cut the holes for the door handles, and then painted the doors. I highly recommend FD for painting and other remodeling. If I wouldn't have hired another company to install our new floors and paint our kitchen cabinets, I would have given FD painters the whole job! Thanks for everything FD! read more

Here is some good advice if your looking for a painter contractor...Don't hire these guys or waste your time trying to get them to do honest work. I called and emailed them several times and could not get them to respond after I ask them to compare estimates from others. They were the highest price contractor. They are Not a very professional company, they over price their estimates and have no real communication skills. After I complained about the service they tried to get comments removed. I emailed them 3 times and they would not respond. What they should do is provide good quality service and communicate with your clients, not promising to do a job then not calling back customers. We had a downstairs bathroom backup/overflow that required a lot of work after the remediation crew left. The reconstruction included, new floors, new drywall, doors, painting, toilet, vanity, etc. FD remodeling and Javier were more than patient while we worked with insurance to negotiate coverage. FD Painters did a terrible job on our home. Though we dealt directly with Javier, another employee showed up to do the actual work. When he finished, there was paint dripping everywhere (on the light switches, in the sinks/tubs, on the carpet, on the white baseboards, etc). Additionally, they left our home in shambles and even broke a piece of furniture. I was very pregnant at the time and had to deal with the challenge of putting my home back together after FD Painters destroyed it.
