Ordered the Jambon-beurre de truffe sandwich for $16 and it was as good as I expected. Not only is the bread first rate, but so is the jambon and truffle butter. Although all the sandwiches looked mouthwatering delectable, I have only one stomach so I can order only one sandwich. In addition to sandwiches, you can buy meat, gourmet pantry items like Jacob's Salt, lamb bone broth, vinegar, honey, olives, etc.

Wonderful sandwiches and selection of cheeses and charcuterie board items that pair well with wine. Helpful, honest staff that do not push the most expensive items! They're authentic and it's refreshing. I feel like the cost of lower-quality or tier items has gone up so much and higher-quality items have gone up only a little, so time to treat yourself! They seem like a good deal. Great location at the Ferry Building. Lots of tourists but also locals.

It is difficult to find fresh lamb chops in San Francisco. I don't know why, to be honest..considering we have such a diverse culture when it comes to food. I was super happy to hear this place supplied lamb racks and were able to make them "chops". When I got home, these "chops" were mostly fat. Crazy amount of pure white fat. Even though the staff was professional and fast, the lamb was pure fat and no meat. I won't be coming back here.

Went to the ferry building location in San Francisco, The group I was with got an assortment of sandwiches and charcuterie. Food all came out excellent and the service was great. Would recommend this to anyone who is in the ferry building and looking for a quick bite.

Amazing prosciutto, aged ham, and other cold cuts - quality here is unmatched for charcuterie. Friendly fast service. Their sandwiches are just okay - for $15 the size of the banado slow roast pork was very small. Pork itself was tasty and the bread was soft, came with a side of dipping jus. Wish they had options to add veges and get the bread toasted, but understand they want to reduce time and get three sandwiches out fast - only 3 min wait!

I wish I wasn't staying in a hotel because there were so many items I wanted to buy but just couldn't. I wish I had got the name of the lovely man behind the counter that helped us. He gave us a sample of salame, which was delicious and we ended up purchasing. I thought we should get a 1/2 lbs but we weren't sure how many slices that would end up being so our friend behind the counter let us know that would be about 50 slices which was way too much for us. We ended up getting about 15 slices of salame, 5 slices of pastrami and some beautiful Camembert di buffalo that was amazing. Super friendly and knowledgeable employees in a small but well laid out store. We will be back. Hopefully I can purchase more items to take home next time.

Pastrami Sando

Great meat (pastrami sando just okay) ! Very good service, though had to get their attention and then watched as I sat out glass encased prep area w unending comments. Location is prime, price is right and food delicious while service in the "blue-collar" side w its charm...

I always come here for the pastrami sandwiches. So delish! The pickled red cabbage they put in it is so delish! Oh, and did I mention they are so delish?!

Porchetta Sandwich

Taking over the old Golden Gate Meat Company counter, but seemingly higher quality. There are tons of fancy charcuterie options, but I was drawn to all the lunch options to-go. Very tasty and not too outrageously priced (by San Francisco Ferry Building standards). Porchetta Sandwich: So it's not warm nor thick cut nor crunchy like the Roli Roti version. Theirs seems like they let the porchetta cool and then sliced it very thin like deli slices. Different style, but also delicious. Porchetta cold cuts are a bit fattier than normal cold cuts, so lots of flavor. The veggies and herbs were great to contrast the richness. I especially think the parsley and mint worked well. Nice fresh crusty bread too. The lunch board said $14 and all I paid was $14, no hidden fees like other new stalls. Pretty filling. Beef, Pork & Ricotta Meatballs Sandwich: Fairly straightforward sandwich with 3 huge meatballs in sauce on a chewy roll. Oh, and some parmesan on top too. Sometimes places put on mozzarella and toast the sandwich, but very basic here. Though it does let you focus on the meatballs, which are very good. A nice meaty chew, which makes me think they don't put in too much breadcrumbs filler. So lots of good stuff in this humble presentation. Slow Roasted Pork Bañado: Tender pulled pork that has a little kick, super soft roll and a nice dipping broth. It reminds me of a French Dip, but much richer because of the pork. Very unique and memorable. Perfectly warm for a chilly day! Perhaps my favorite of the sandwiches I tried. Jambon-Beurre de Truffe: Simple, yet delicious. Reminds me of those delicious baguettes in Paris that were buttered and had some ham inside. Except here the ham comes in a very generous American-sized portion, is thicker and a little smoky. Also, the butter had a lot of personality because of all the truffle chunks. So with so much flavor in ham and truffle butter, the baguette basically took a back seat here. Hot Pastrami: Warm pastrami on some crunchy panini bread. The meat is thick and salty and more mildly spiced than pastrami I've had elsewhere. Some melty cheese for some good measure. Had a bunch of purple cabbage slaw at the bottom. Don't think it was fermented like kraut. Tasted fresher, though maybe distracts from the pastrami too much.

Italian sausage

Amazing salami class today! My husband and I have done a few classes at the Napa location, but first time taking one in SF. The class was great - there were 4 of us and Dave was really hands-on, great instructor. We made 4 different kinds of sausage and took loads home. They also fed us really great sandwiches and charcuterie. Will definitely take another class!

Bañado
Stephanie N.

Unbelievably good sandwiches. I personally prefer the bañado most of the time because it's so rich and flavorful, but the other sandwiches strike different chords so it totally depends on what you're in the mood for (also loved the buerre de truffe to go in a more fragrant and fresh direction). Surprised to find such a hit in a food hall!

Mushroom & farro soup
Mike C.

I've walked by a number of times but there always seemed to be a line. On a recent Tuesday morning, there were only a few people standing nearby so I took a photo of the sandwich menu (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=KsxmRUq56gN1vWr-xhhICQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) to study for a future visit since I already had lunch plans. In reading the specials sheet, I decided to get something. After a customer left, I walked to the counter and ordered the mushroom & farro soup (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=dvImmsOLYdl11frdgLZpGw&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q); the sheet described this as having little pork and wild mushroom meatballs and pecorino cheese. When I removed the lid, I was happily surprised that the broth was reddish as opposed to the creamy variety that I find with mushroom soups. I steamed my bowl and had this for as part of a weekend lunch at home. I enjoyed this, especially with the amount mushroom slices (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=7U4EUXG2jNgXxTsRGOc9dw&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q); I did not carefully read the description so the tiny meatballs were a welcome surprise. I will have this again if it's available. The gentlemen in front of me walked away with a small paper wrapped package so I'm guessing they got some of their house made meat items. Well, it'll be Tuesday tomorrow and I will save room to get one of their sandwiches. You know I'll be looking at the specials and if that mushroom soup is available again...

It is also the oldest corned beef company established in San Francisco as well. We only like to get our Povi from Roberts Corned Meats because the quality of it beats anywhere else. I've tried other Povi Masimas and can taste the difference. NOBODY and I mean NOBODY is touching Robert's Corned Meats. The gentleman Edgar I believe was his name had helped us as we did an over the phone order for 8 whole boxes and asked them to seal each one as we were sending the boxes to family overseas. The transaction was very fast as always! Sign a paper, provide the money and wait for your boxes to come out. Boom, done! Each time we get an order, the worker always provides the service to load our car with the Povi which is such a huge plus! We really appreciate the generosity and great service each visit! This is why this place gets such a high rating, the service is top tier and the meats are top notch! The parking is super rough as it's on one of the busiest streets in the city near the freeways but trust me it's worth the struggle. There is an alleyway around the corner of the building you can park in but it is a hit or miss. It is also cash preferred/only as well! The inside of the place is always clear and neutral setting. I love that it has so many old school pictures to view! It's also very clean as well! They offer so many other meats as well, sausages, bacon, linguica, pastrami, brisket, beef tongue, pork legs and cooked meats. I might be missing a few but I'm telling you, this is the place to get your meats. It's truly worth it! There is a reason Roberts Corned Meats are still in business for so many years, they are the real deal. Thank you Roberts Corned Meats for your amazing service and items served, you've placed a mark on a lot of us Polynesians - specifically my Samoan people. The functions won't ever be the same without your Povi Masima! I hope you all look into this place and love it just as my family and folks do. You won't regret it.

But I'm going to warn you against shopping here. 1) I have bought spoiled chicken from here. 2) I have bought various bad cuts of beef that not only fail to justify the premium price but aren't even as good as grocery store meats. 3) Most disturbingly, the sticker price and what they actually charge you is different. I have caught them multiple times so now I know they do this intentionally. 4) Also disturbing, the items on your receipt won't even match the items you buy. I've been here twice now and both visits have been satisfying. At this point I can recommend the Reuben and the Ham & Cheese on the sweet roll. Both sandwiches come loaded with meat and toppings. The bread is toasty and warm when served. Most importantly, everything in the sandwich taste fresh. I think I found my go to sandwich spot near work. Price is similar to most sandwich spots in the area. It's San Francisco so expect around $15-$20 for the sandwich. Luckily both times I've been here I didn't need to wait in line for anything. Service is efficient and the workers are friendly. I will be back for another sandwich!
