They are well stocked, but the butcher and fishmonger sections are closed from the weekend through until Wednesday (I couldn't find anyone to ask them why), so keep that in mind if you need those departments. They still have fish and meat pre-packaged in the fridge section. None of the staff here seem particularly happy in their job, and lots of them were just stood around chatting in the fresh produce aisles.

I've always rated Waitrose very highly and would hate to think I'm being deceived like this. I would like to have the choice and not unwittingly eat something that goes against my own beliefs. Elsewhere Kosher meat has always been separate and is labelled, so why not halal. Can you imagine the outcry if muslims were unknowingly sold 'surreptitious pork'? I would like an honest answer.

They promised us two types of our chosen ale for our Wedding and a lovely set of two silver bar taps as per the photo. THEY REQUIRED PAYMENT IN FULL VIA BANK TRANSFER 7 DAYS IN ADVANCE MINIMUM. Not only did they NOT SHOW UP or DELIVER the day before my Wedding AND WOULD NOT ANSWER THE PHONE(over 30 phone calls and texts!!) MAKING US WAIT HOURS FOR DELIVERY they finally TEXTED ONE SHORT TEXT saying it would come tomorrow. The ale ended up being delivered whilst I was getting married and was there JUST BEFORE we arrived at our Wedding Reception. That's not the worst of it even. They delivered THE WRONG ALE!!!! We only got two kegs of what we ordered and ONE tap. The other two kegs were of some random, lesser quality ale and a cheap wooden tap. I WAS SO UPSET but because it was THE DAY of the Wedding that they finally delivered it so there was nothing I could do. It was SUCH horrible business practice, especially messing with someones Wedding. That STILL wasn't even the worst of it.
