Also no electrical outlet in bathroom other than one that you have to plug into a the ceiling with a light bulb, hot water tank that is too big for the space in the bathroom! Also had to clean when I moved in including previous person that left his urine stains! Huge Biohazard breech! Been in the medical field for 31years and do know my field & what's not right & they pose as being good faithful Catholic Christians in the town of Burlington! They are the most crooked people I've met! Also reaks of propane & stove wouldn't shut off due to a bad knob 4 weeks still never replaced! Said it's still on order....yah ok... front screen door no screen doesn't shut non secure, told them in the beginning never replaced! Do not do business with the Grinnans in Burlington Colorado

Also this company was paid upfront for the work. On the first house they took down the satellite dish, to roof the house, they promised to set it back up, and realign it. This never occurred. The homeowner had to pay the satellite company $150.00 to come out and set the satellite dish back up. On the second house, where the most issues occurred, really show what this company is all about. They were to install seamless gutters, but did not have the proper equipment. So the homeowner was kind enough to give the company time to finish a different job, so they could purchase the equipment needed. The homeowner waited patiently, and did not hear back from the company for weeks. So the homeowner had to call this company, and ask when they were going to finish the job, at this point the homeowner gave them to the end of July 2016 to finish the job. July came and went, and the homeowner yet again had to contact the company, to see what was going on. Again the company needed more time, to the homeowner being extremely patient gave this company to the end of August 2016 to finish the job. About this time, the homeowner contacted Delmar Ziegler, since he is the one who recommended them. Mr. Ziegler assured the homeowner, that if the owner of Grinnan Construction said he was going to do something, rest assured the job was going to be done. The owner of the company was a man of his word. August came and went the homeowner again showing extreme restraint contacted the company again. Again the company needed more time, to get the equipment needed to get the seamless gutters installed. So the homeowner being way kinder then any human on the planet at this time gave the company till the end of September to finish the job. The company came out in September, and installed gutters. The gutters where not the seamless gutters that the homeowner purchased. The gutters where not aligned properly, and no down spouts where installed. So the homeowner contacted the company again. The company promised every day for about three weeks that they were coming out to fix the problems. The homeowner had finally had enough and told the company, that they had to Friday September 30th, 2016 to finish the job or he was going to finish it himself. The company finally showed up on October 1, 2016 to finish the job. This time the owner of the company brought a different crew. That consisted of Hispanic men, not the regular crew of Caucasian men, and the company's owners son. Now also the homeowner had to cave and get regular gutters instead of seamless gutters. Just so the company would finish the job. Remember the homeowner paid upfront for seamless gutters. So in review Grinnan construction was hired and paid up front, to roof two houses, install seamless gutters and to realign a satellite dish. This company was recommended by Delmar Ziegler. Who assured the homeowner the job would be done, with no issues. The job took three and half months to finish, and the homeowner did not get what he paid upfront for. The homeowner did not get his satellite dish realigned, and did not get the seamless gutters. I would never recommend Grinnan Construction, for any job. Not to even shovel snow off my sidewalk. This company shows no integrity, or diligence. I find it very disrespectful to the homeowner, that he had to settle for less then what he paid for, and that he had to wait so long to not get what he paid upfront for. Also if Delmar Ziegler, recommends a company, do not use them. Mr. Ziegler assured the homeowner that everything was fine, and that the job would be done timely, efficiently and done right. If you want promises that are not kept, if you want to pay for something that you will never get, of you want strangers crawling all over your property for months, yes go ahead and hire Grinnan Construction. I personally would suggest you go with another company. These issues are more than likely why this company can't afford the proper equipment to finish a job. Why they make promises that are never kept, and why they are a crappy company, that I wouldn't pay to walk my dog.

We invested several tens of thousands of dollars with this company. The hardware we received was not what we selected, and instead of taking ownership of the mistake, they positioned it as though it were our decision. Their proposed solution was simply to provide the hardware we originally chose -- but they refused to address the damage caused to our closet as a result of the incorrect hardware being installed. Jann is quick to initiate projects without meaningful discussion of budget expectations or realistic ballpark figures. We were told "it will be around X thousand for now," only to later receive contracts totaling tens of thousands more. There was no proactive financial transparency. Marissa did not acknowledge or apologize for the issues we encountered, which added to the frustration. When you are making a significant investment in your home, you expect professionalism, communication, and integrity. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Buyer beware -- we highly recommend looking elsewhere.

I liked the fact that my payment through Showplace covered the general contractor, tile contractor , paint, floor, cabinets and stone countertops. I felt i had recourse if one of the contractors didn't do their best. Her design acumen was amazing. Tremendous use of space, excellent tradesmen, and Jann's keen eye to ensure that all trades did their best. If it was not, she made sure they did. There were a few calls to contractors to come back and fix or repair. There were a few delays, but these things happen in real life. With any project with lots of moving parts, there are unforeseen problems, or delays.. Factory delays, shipping mistakes, ordering mistakes.... It happens. If you combine these delays with changes we made along the way, deadlines are pushed out.... In the end, the product turned out amazing. Our project was quite large. Removal of a load bearing wall, moving of extensive plumbing and electrical and structural work. Combining of two rooms into 1 large kitchen..... It was several months of work, but the final product is worthy of a magazine. Truly amazing. (In fact we have been asked to have our kitchen be featured in a design magazine photo shoot. ). We gave her a list of wants and needs and we had several renditions of changes to get what we wanted. It was not the cheapest nor the most expensive. The end goal was to deliver a dream kitchen. Goal Attained. The final litmus test Jann used was: " Will this add value to your house" if it was too bold, she would tell you it was not a good choice. ( This was confirmed by a few realtor friends of our) Her contractor Tom Echols is a master carpenter with amazing talent. All permits were passed with ease and the work quality and joinery is top notch. I helped with some of the heavy work, and I could see that he is very thorough. Structural, Electrical and Mechanical , Finish Carpentry.. No Problem.... Jann has a strong personality, she knows her stuff and is not afraid to tell you., she challenged us several times on what we should do vs what we thought we should do. I often pushed back but l I hate to say it, but she was right, everything turned out AMAZING in the truest sense of the word.. I am not a designer, she is. Jann is a high energy dynamo, but she knows her stuff. Our project added 2-3 times cost of the project in home appreciation value.
