Great find- great gem of a restaurant/ convenience store/ gas station. It's located off Interstate 40 at Exit 78 in London, Arkansas. I found this place by accident about a week ago as I was about to run out of gas. I'm glad I found it too. Great customer service as they are really fast here after ordering. I got my order at my table before I could finish paying for our meal. I have been here twice. The second time I decided to stop here with a group of people in the crew van. We all got our meal really fast. Everyone enjoyed everything they got. I got a smoked turkey sandwich ant was delicious. Next I will probably add some bbq sauce that was on the table. I stopped by with some friends on our way back to work and we found ourselves a new favorite barbecue restaurant. The employees were great and helped us out when we couldn't decide on sides, the food was beyond delicious and filling with generous portions. The restaurant itself is nice and has a comfortable feel with background music that doesn't overwhelm and the smell of fresh food as soon as you walk in. Overall I can guarantee we'll be back and I highly recommend Fat Daddy's barbecue. read more

It has been several years since we were here last and they have done some remodeling that looks very good. I am unable to eat anything smoked, so I was very limited on what I could order, but they were very helpful with me ordering the potato salad and fries with Queso cheese on them. Fat Daddy's serves their baked beans warm, of course. I don't like heating them up in the microwave, I would rather have them cold. They were so good. I never heat up meat in my microwave and FatDaddy's Barbecue pork is so versatile that I eat it hot at the restaurant, enjoy it warm when I get it to go and I love it right out of the fridge, too. Unfortunately we were pretty disappointed with the food we got. The meat was dry and flavorless, green bean casserole lacked spices, and the cheesy potatoes had a harsh tasting of fake cheese. We was' road trippin cross country and we stopped for essentials, Gatorade and road beverages. Smelled the BBQ and had to have a couple of their pulled pork sandwiches. Not your typical BBQ sandwich. Theirs had a significant taste difference, the flavor was sharp and afterwards we felt satiated and fresh. The sauce was more of a black pepper with a light vinegar finish. Our taste buds were perplexed; reminds me of those Cole slaw's which aren't sweet, but tart. Searching for the correct location on-line was a feat! This spot is located in a gas station, which brand I can't remember. Thinking Texaco or Phillips. I've never felt more like a local Arkansan than I did when I finally decided to eat lunch at a restaurant that shares a building with a gas station. Sure, BBQ joints are typically rustic or plain old dirty, but watching hillbillies fill up their '87 Rams while I stuff my gullet didn't seem that appetizing. Nonetheless, I have concluded that Fat Daddy's makes the best barbecue in town. Their meat is insanely tender and they will cook it in the sauce (sweet or spicy) of your choice. The spicy sauce tastes mostly of pepper and vinegar while the sweet sauce is closer to Texas barbecue. The secret, dear reader, is to ask them to mix the two together when they cook your sandwich. Don't bother with the sides though; the cole slaw is nothing special (though they'll add it to your sandwich for free), the green beans always taste strangely of peanut butter, and the fries are below average. Save those calories and just get a bigger sandwich. read more

The pulled pork was amazing and they have two great sauces, hot and a sweet. Mac and Cheese was also on point as well as the beans. They may be known for their pork but their chicken deserves another kinda rep. The poor cook has only been given black pepper to season the bird which he does with despair and abandon. Not pleasant. Really, really solid BBQ place not far off of the highway in West central AR. I would usually do a more extensive review, but I just tried one thing while I was there. The chopped rib sandwich. It's made like a Memphis style barbecue sandwich with sauce and coleslaw on a nice bun with that meat. But this is unique because it is not pulled pork, it is chopped rib meat. This pulled pork sandwich is always worth the stop. There are always friendly faces greeting you when you order. This is a great local stop to check out if you get a chance. It is in the same structure as a gas station so it is always nice to fill up since you are stopping for some of AR's best BBQ. If you aren't shy, you should grab the Fat Daddy Sandwich but you might want to avoid trying to eat and drive because napkins will be needed. This place gives a brand new meaning to "fall off the bone". Driving back home from Little Rock, while stopping to get gas, I found this small and homely building. To be honest, driving up to this small building wasn't all that wonderful with limited space, but the food was worth adding 20 minutes into my trip. I got ribs with some cheesy tots. The ribs were just wonderful on their own, but when you sit down, you're greeted by three barbecue bottles labeled mild, sweet, and hot. I tried every sauce and the best one has got to be hot. It was deceptively sweet and delicious. The sauces were just supports compared to the ribs but the ribs definitely could stand just on their own. The cheesy tots tasted like rich macaroni and cheese with a crunchy texture. This place has got to make it on your list for BBQ places to try out and it has definitely made its mark on places I'll be always visiting when I travel toward or away from Little Rock. read more

So, when i first came there I was served great food. I learned that a rooster had been the manager at the time. They now have a pig running the restaurant and it changed it exponentially. We love their pulled pork sandwiches, spuds, and meat platters (favorite meats are the smoked chicken and turkey, hot links, and andouille!). My husband has ordered their burrito (only sold a couple days out of the week) and I have heard it's amazing! They have the BEST sides of any BBQ place I've been to. My favorites are the baked beans and cheesy potatoes. I have also had their sautéed veggies and green beans and they are both wonderful! They have a full bar and a friendly staff.
