Third time here spanning over two different Florida vacations. Arcades to me, for tickets to get crap prizes are usually NOT my cup of tea, however, this place seems to be a hit with the kiddos and the ticket prize offerings are actually pretty legit and there's LOTS of different things to choose from. They have LEGOS, Pokemon plushes, Yeti's, Squishmellows and so many other things! It was pretty cool that a few of the kids actually were able to get some hits from the claw machines! One of the girls got a water bottle from one claw machine and two plushies from another. Couldn't get the turles for the Kendra Scott prize claw machine but was happy with the overall experience! Spent wayyyy more than the prizes were worth, obviously b/c that's how archades work and make money but overall happy with the experience and prizes! Super fun for the kids! Lots of prizes to choose from and the games are not that expensive. We played for over an hour with the kids on just $60 of tokens and they got a good amount of goodies at the end. read more

Great decent sized arcade. Lots of coin pusher machines and plenty of variety of games for the kids. We especially enjoy the NERF game. Not a ton of claw machines, but I prefer that. Good prize selection and winning points isn't overly difficult. Most games are $1 but some do go as high as $2. We bought a $100 card and it lasted over an hour. Good experience. Felt like my money went a far way for the most part. Had issues with three games and no workers were around to help although if you went to the prize collection area 7 employees were standing and talking. It's a good arcade and we will come back if we return to Destin, but nothing exceeding a Dave and busters or anything like that. read more

Not a bad arcade, there were many games but unless you have a bunch of money to spend then it's not really worth it. I still had fun but it felt more like gambling for kids than it did an arcade. Ticket payout is not the greatest and the deals are expensive to get. The cheapest deal is 50 dollars for some perks. That being said, there were several games and there was a lot to choose from. The prize counter was fine and the employees were fine. Overall, maybe come if you have 50+ to spend but maybe not 20-30. read more

The location was ok. It was very small and extremely crowded. With covid still out there you would have thought there would have been limitations. It kept my kiddos somewhat busy. Again very crowded at the time we went which means limited gaming as well. read more

Pretty decent sized arcade with good hours of operation. Was in town for Easter and the kids were bored, so we went to see if this place was open. (They don't answer phones unless you know an extension to somebody) At a glance, it is bright and colorful which caught the kids eyes. A wide variety of ticketed games which about 90-95% of the games worked. The next big thing is pricing which the average per game is $1 a piece. It is a bit on the pricey side if you're playing for tickets to get prizes. There are a select few games which can help you get lots of tickets if you are focused on that. About 20% of the machines are claw games which to me quite frankly is a scam. Probably spent over $50 playing crane games just to watch something get picked up, then fall right back down once it pulls all the way to the top. You can easily spend over $100 in under 30 minutes of play here which would tell you the pricing. Overall, the place is well kept with plenty of chairs around most games. The arcade can be pretty crazy with people and kids around, but the staff maintains good professionalism throughout it all. It is a fun place to play if you have money to spend. read more

Who needs the beautiful, crystal-clear beach on a perfectly gorgeous sunny day when you have an... ARCADE? This is how 7-year-olds think. When my sweet little sonnies wanted to go to an arcade on an early summer day in Destin, my world got a little darker. Okay, I'm being dramatic, but why would they choose an indoor arcade over the beach? An arcade, where we all have a chance of leaving with a stomach bug or something else gnarly we picked up? Arcades truly can be that bad. I'm happy to report, Fat Daddy's was not. We bought them each a $50 game card, and I was expecting it to run out really quickly. To my surprise, each card lasted about 1.5 hours, and we had a really great time. The card swipe/ticket count was so much easier than tokens and paper tickets, and the games were actually a total blast. This place was clean, bright, and well-run. Even the bathrooms weren't scary! The prizes for tickets got rave reviews from our boys, and everyone left in a great mood after a super fun time. If you're going to be tortured by an arcade, I really recommend choosing this one! read more

UPDATE: the issue was eventually resolved, but took a long time and lots of emails. Beware of self service machines taking your money and not giving points and then supervisor telling you that payment will just be pending and won't go through, when it actually does. read more

It is extremely easy to get tickets here, but that also means prizes are worth a lot of tickets. If a machine malfunctioned, the staff was quick to fix the problem for us. Since most games are 50¢-$1.50, I do feel like the ticket prices should be lowered a bit. We took home a likely a $10 toy after spending $100 in tokens. The fun of playing the games is the point, but it would be nice if the prizes better reflected the amount of money spent while still earning the business a profit. Some games are incredibly easily to get tickets with like the ones that push coins or the lever game that pushes tickets into a hole. The claw machines are almost unwinnable. read more

Literally the worst arcade I've ever been too. Most of the games didn't work properly and the staff is nothing but teenagers that acted stoned. They were extremely rude and unpleasant. I seriously feel dumber from interacting with them. Way better places to spend your money in Destin. read more

This place is a joke! My 9 year old son was excited to hit a 1000 ticket jack pot and your machine malfunctioned. The manager and GM refused to give him his tickets. After spending hundreds of dollars here it's the least you can do. Seems like a scam to me. The fact that 1000 tickets is equal to 2 $1 boxes of candy and we spent $200 and you can't give the kid his 1000 tickets is awful. He Was so excited. Nice newer arcade with game cards instead of tokens. The cards also keep track of the "tickets" you win...so instead of getting traditional paper tickets it keeps count digitally. I prefer the traditional paper tickets in my hand. I think it's more fun for the kids. But the arcade was still nice, some of the games were better than others. I hate those "try to grab it" games; it seems like they are rigged for you to lose. The bathrooms could have been cleaner. But overall we had fun and would return again. read more

We had a good time! It's not huge but it was big enough for us. We have a 14 year old and a 12 year old and they had fun. The staff was friendly. Brought my son for his birthday, he wanted to use points to to buy a figurine marked 3,000 points, they said no, "We sell those for 8,000. That's not our sticker, that's the suggested price from the distributor." Argued with the manager but they wouldn't budge. Thanks for putting a damper to finish the end of a fun outing. There's something extremely bothersome about company who is inaccessible. If I'm not at the location and have time sensitive concern or question I would expect there to be another reasonably timed way of communicating. I've covered my end. You really mean to tell me the phone number on file doesn't get picked up? You leave a voicemail to what end. Doesn't seem like a big deal but you never know. Definitely don't expect this from any popular establishment. $50 spent and a fun time if I didn't have a sour taste in my mouth. I've read some reviews to try and see if anyone has mentioned getting ahold of a manager throughout the past few months and I see the same complaints. A computer generated response with no effort to fix the problem is pretty ignorant. I've been coming to fat daddy's for a while (I'm local) not like it matters though because they seem to be out of reach to everyone. I don't like to share my arcade experience with other people much, so I was happy that almost no one else was around when I swung by on a Monday around noon. It's honestly the best time to go if you're looking to hang out and have your pick of the games. I was hoping there would be some classics to play - such as Pac-Man and Pinball, but alas, only a strange ticket-type Pac-Man was to be had. No ski ball or air hockey, though they do have the sit-and-shoot type of games that require hundreds of quarters to pay for ammo - those are fun for a few spins, but I honestly found myself dumping the majority of my money into the ticket games such as the coin dozer, blocks, and win-a-prize claw type games. All in all, I had fun for old times sake, so if you're bored and especially if you have kids, this could be a fun diversion for a while. We come to Destin every year as a family and like to try new places. Now that we have a toddler we thought it would be fun to try out an arcade! The place was okay for an arcade... pretty decent honestly, prices a little high. My husband played a game where you "bowl" with coins. It landed on the win 400 ticket strip. Nothing, no lights etc. Went and got the attendant. .. they couldn't do anything. We shrugged it off, but then we did it again, And STILL NOTHING. It's GOT to be Rigged. I thought he was lying but i saw it with my own eyes. So after spending $80 in the arcade alone with our family we went and got pizza. Totally under cooked and bland. So not only are we now out what could have been 800 tickets. .. We had to eat a WAY under par pizza. I called the number and it has a voicemail, if I wanted to speak to someone leave a message. I did about 2-3 weeks ago. No one has responded. I have tried calling that same number over and over hoping it will just ring. NO direct line to a human, at all. I left another message yesterday. I sent another e-mail today as well. Ok place. Went here because of the damn rain ruining vacation. Spent 40 bucks on some gameplay for daughter. She hit a jackpot on a machine...didn't get any tickets. Staff said if it doesn't pay out then you didn't win!!! Took our two boys, ages 5 and 9 right when they opened on a Tuesday morning. Nobody there, so they could play anything they wanted. Most games were $1, but a few were 50 cents. Used a $2 coupon for each kid, and bought two $20 cards which come with a bonus $5 worth of tokens. So, $27 per kid lasted about 1 hour and 15 minutes (includes time they took to cash in their points and pick out prizes). So, maybe a little pricey, especially for the younger one, but the games were fun and they both had a good time. read more
