He's the one chiropractor in ten who really knows what he's doing... and you know what I'm talking about. I live just outside of San Francisco and threw my back out just before leaving on a trip to Wisconsin. After four days in Nashotah I was a mess - Major Pain in my neck, right shoulder and lower right side. I didn't have the time to find a chiropractor before leaving Wisconsin and heading for some high times with the swells in East Hampton, New York. When I arrived in the Hamptons, I knew I needed help - and fast. I checked Yelp and noticed there weren't any reviews to guide my selection. I asked our hostess if she had any suggestions, and she called a friend who swore by Dr. Fred Soroka. I called Dr. Soroka, and he agreed to remain after hours and see me that day. OK Yelpers, you know the difference between the good chiropractors and the "wanna-bes" The moment "Dr. Fred" put his hands on me, I knew he had the gift. He quickly discovered that one leg was shorter than the other and went to work to adjust my hips and straighten my back (which had compensated for the hip displacement). He worked his way up to my neck and in no time, I was back in the game. Fearing I might slip back out of adjustment, I saw "Dr Fred" for three days in a row (I know - not recommended). At any rate, he has the gift and my most sincere and heartfelt recommendation whenever you're in the Hamptons and need a Great chiropractor. His prices are also most reasonable. Dr. Soroka is also a trained homeopath, so I thought I'd try a homeopathic remedy to assist with the healing process. He recommended one that helped significantly. When you're in pain, Dr. Soroka is your man in the Hamptons!

I sought help for two injuries, one older sports injury that has caused me chronic pain my entire adult life, and another recent knee injury that significantly reduced my mobility. He was incredibly dismissive, interrupted me while taking my medical history, and acted skeptical about my level of pain. As someone who has sustained quite a few acute injuries, and who has received PT, chiropractic, and osteopathic care in the past, I appreciate when providers ask for my consent before making adjustments after assessing the injury, as well as talk me through what they are doing as they do it, he did not do this, nor did he ask if anything he did was causing pain, I had to let him know multiple times that what he was doing was hurting. I've now left his office in more pain than when I arrived, and with very few actionable steps to take. I would not recommend him unless you are comfortable asserting yourself, and I would definitely suggest you think twice if you have any trauma associated with your injury/ailment, as he does not communicate or offer explanations in advance, or give you much agency during the appointment.

As an athlete, I tend to be wary of chiropractors unless they have a sports emphasis, and was stoked to find someone out on the island like him. I emailed late on a weekday, and he made room to see me the next day, which is always appreciated. And even though he knew I was in from out-of-town, he took his time with me to understand my history and my injury, and even gave me follow up exercises and further recommendations. He incorporates and offers a number of different treatment modalities - estim, shockwave, ART, NKT. If you are out on Eastern LI and need someone, I highly recommend Dr. Petruccelli.
