The casino gas station was overwhelmed since their gas price was almost a dollar less than most so we kept on driving to Fastrip 10 miles on the I-10 which offered the same low price. DO NOT GO HERE! I stopped by today and asked for a $20 and a $5 lotto ticket. I handed the clerk a $100 bill, and he had the nerve to ask me for an additional $5, claiming it wasn't enough. He then insisted that I only gave him $20. I had to wait about 15 minutes for someone to review the security cameras. After finally "reviewing" the footage, he apologized but then tried to give me back only $65 instead of $75 Please be very careful if you come here. I decided to save a few cents per gallon and buy my gas here, even though it meant waiting in line a few minutes. Not a wise decision. I swiped my AmEx, and the pump said, "Please see cashier." I went inside and had to wait a bit for the cashier to show up from the back. I told him what happened, and he acted like I was an idiot for not knowing that they don't take AmEx. Great. So now I don't get my 3% cash back. After pumping, I parked and went in to use the restroom. Yet again, another wait! They have a unisex, one-holer, and the wait was long. The rest room itself was a bit of a disaster once I got in. So I added about 10 minutes of waiting to the trip, and when you figure in the fact that I didn't get my 3% cash back, I probably paid more than I would have at the Shell station next door. Beware if using your credit card to purchase gas. I authorized $60 for fuel and only purchased $45.42. I was charged the entire $60 and have no way to dispute this as I didn't go back into the store to get an updated receipt. Never had this problem with ANY other gas station. This Fastrip would earn more stars if the employees weren't so lazy. They refuse to put receipt tape in the gas pumps thus requiring the customers to go into the store, wait in line for the lazy checker to manually print out the receipt. Because of this laziness and the totally incompetent management, empty cars sit outside blocking pumps that other customers could use if their drivers weren't inside waiting to get their receipts! If this is a company store they need to fire the manager, if there even is one. If its a franchise the franchisee should lose the operation. I really like coming here. The people at the counter are nice and they always give me good service. Usually I jus stop in for a snack and drink but they act like I am spending a lot of money and always happy to see me. They must love there job because they don't ever act bad or rude in any way. I drive this way a few time every month and I will stop in here when I can. They have a good selection of the bars I like. Last time I come here I had a friend with me. My boyfriend has been stopping by the Fastrip on Calimesa Blvd to get gas for the past couple of months. During that time he has experienced several situations that made him decide to never go back. The first situation occurred about a month ago. It was early in the morning and he went inside to pay with cash. A gentlemen in front of him paid with cash, a $100 bill. When my boyfriend came up to the register with a $100 bill, he was turned away. They would not take his money though they had just taken the other man's $100 bill just moments before. The second situation occurred when in line to pay for gas, a gentlemen walked up to the front of the line to pay. My boyfriend and the man behind him started to say something because this man was obviously cutting in line. The attendant's response was that, "he is a regular". My boyfriend offered some choice remarks to which the customer replied, "are you even legal to be here?" The gas islands are narrow, so cars have to park extremely close to one another. A door banging situation if you are not careful. The place is dirty, and doesn't look like it has been cleaned outside in months. A little steam cleaning would go a long way people. But what really irritated me was when I went inside to buy a 12 pack of soda. Now, I regularly purchase 12 packs at the grocery store for 2.50-3.00 on sale, and about 3.50 otherwise. Fastrip sells for the bargain price of 6.49....my jaw hit the floor. I said "are you kidding me?" The guy behind the counter said "I know" as if acknowledging it was a ripoff.
